Well, Granny, I have a rule: any number I don't recognize I don't answer unless it's local area code. Now that Cheap-Super Expensive Care has kicked in, I have been getting many calls from unknowns, many of whom I cannot even begin to understand. One fellow called, gave me his pitch, and in the middle of it I told him that with all of the background noise and his poor English, I could not understand him at all. If you have a caller ID on your phone, just don't answer the one's you don't recognize.

I bet you're right. I don't recognize this as a former Humana number. More than likely, it's an OBAMA CARE related company which has gotten a list from Medicare. Typical conduct of our government if it is.

If it is a legitimate call from Humana, why don't they let the caller ID show their name instead of just "Toll Free Caller"? I will never answer that, but I might if I knew it was from Humana.

Calls on a daily basis and leaves a message and when you play the message it is nothing but static for a couple of seconds and then hangs up.

They might or might not be authentically Humana. I suspect it is an attempt to sell supplemental coverage.

What a nasty, vile comment to make simply because of a phone call with no message! Shame on you! Oh, FYI ~ the number is Humama Insurance!! I bet you or someone in your household has Humana Insurance!

DO NOT CALL
| old crippled granny 2012-07-16 18:45:29 Event Reminder |
It's The Humana insurance company authorized by Medicare. They ARE my insurance, but the automated service calls me every week to remind me that I'm not taking advantage of the free Silver Sneakers athletic program available to me at the local athletic club. I'm totally physically disabled, most of the time bedridden. They know this because they get the detailed billing info from my dr. and clinic. It doesn't matter how many times I tell them I'm usually not even physically capable of bathing and dressing myself, they still call to get me into the athletic program. As soon as the contract is up on this cell phone, I'm cancelling it and going with a prepaid cell phone and not telling anybody the number. Just for me to call out when I need to. Not for anybody to call me. I won;t even tell them I have it. Damn nuisance!

Got a call from this number and they left no message. They did however, knock out my DSL line (temporarily) in the process of calling in. I assume they are scammers, and I hope the person(s) operating that number is/are caught, convicted, and sentenced to death ASAP.

Geeeez, why do these people make the effort to call if they can't AT LEAST leave a message. It is rude, annoying and suspicious.

The recording just left a voice mail. I do not know who there were because the first few words were cut off.
A "cheerful" female voice asked me to call them back.
Not on your life!

The "Uncleanly Illigitimates" called this morning and woke the wife up.
There goes any free time I might have had.
(She is diabetic among other things, and when she's wake it's one "come here a minute" after another.)
