We got a "Yellow Directory Online bill" with 888.811.9175 listed on the "bill" as the toll free Questions or Comments customer service number listed!  We own a small business & all the business info on the fake bill is correct! It's a pretty convincing scam! But it is a scam, complete with invoice #, account #, and order #, along with a payment address of:

I received a call from this number and when I answered I heard an automated message saying it was Master Card calling.  They'd run my card several times and it wouldn't work.  And then it gave me a list of options to fix this.  Well, since the only Master Card I have is kept in safe place for emergencies, I knew I hadn't used it in a long time so I just hung up.  I checked my account online and nothing strange was showing so I called the number back and I talked to someone from a company called People's Choice.  The lady said they are having problems with a scammer using their number and that if I gave out any of my account information that I should notify my bank immediately.

calling non stop!!! Last call finally left a message with heavy breathing and a big sigh at the end. WTF

I dont know about that name. I have been in some programs were they can access someone elses number and call from that number to other numbers. I know it doesn't make much sense but they can. I don't think that this is the right name. It sounds like african americans on the other line. Doug Chase in clear water is a very active white male (i have my hook ups for people search : )
Maybe they should look to the phone systems for help on catching this guy. I bet they are out of country and that is why they have not been stopped.

yes i had received a call from this phone number and they offered me a credit card of 2500.00 and to start this process i would give them authorization to debit my account 200.00 .this was supposed to b processing fees and taxes .well at that time i had been looking into getting credit and i asked them alot of questions too.where they from i even looked them up online .it was reputable,i thaught.anyhow.they even gave me a con firmation number.as time went by i never received card.i decided to do a thorough check on my account.they did debit the funds of 200.00 from me in form of electronic check.i have a photo copy of the statement and check.this phone number is the customer service number on check,

Call the police in Clear Water Florida. I called them,and if they won't do anything, I will figure out how to get those scammers and send them to jail.

I have been getting this phone call twice this week, I had a WaMu debit card 4 years ago, and de activated my account. I am concerned at how they got my phone # or other vital info.

The took also 200 bucks out of my account and I did manage to get 160 back not the whole amount I know but I cut my loss at 40 bucks and I told them I'll make it my mission to get you guys closed down.
If you keep on you might be lucky to get part of your money back.

Call them every week and threaten to sue them and if you get no joy ask for the supervisor Michelle she is at least honest.

yep, they got me too. they took 200 from my account. 2000 credit and 1000 cash advance they offered. its been a little more then 2 months of waiting now. nothing... no credit package... a different story every time i call and now the number 888 811 0893 is no longer in service.

I got this stupid call... They scammed me now the number does not work... I feel like the worst idiot.... Because once I did get through to them... When the number worked... They told me to wait 30 Days....And thats long gone.... Add this to the list of stories already compiled about this scam

Hi my name is leigha and this company did the same thing to me,  $200 dollars then latter tried a second amount which I made a claim against with my bank and got back.  But I immediately closed all of my account. Because my account is closed I cannot file an official claim against them for the $200 with my bank, but I bank with bank of America and I was told if enough people filed complaints with each of their banks then the bank would put that company on a rejection list and would not be able to get others money as well, I strongly recommend anyone who still has the same account with their banks to file a claim against peoples choice!! Regardless of the time that has passed! They deserve a sever punishment, which I hope they will one day receive!

I got a call from this number on my cell phone. The recording stated that my MasterCard (which I do not have) had been locked, from a bank that I do not have an account with (my banks do not have my cell phone number regardless)...I simply hung up.

A recording claimed my Master Card account was locked...."Press 1 for the Security Department." Then they hung up.

They called at 7:18 this morning stating that my Master Card account was locked...."Press 1 for an account specialist. i did purchase something on amazon late last night.

Same as the others.  It claimed  my Master Card account was locked...."Press 1 for an account specialist."

They called and said my United Bank card has been disabled, please enter the 16 digit number on my card.  I just hung up. BTW I don't have a bank card with United Bank.

I got the same exact garbled call.  That my credit card had been cancelled and to push one for the credit dept, then they hung up. I will notify my bank of this call.

This number called me. Claimed to be from Washington Mutual and tried to get me to enter my card number. Clearly, this is a fraud since I don't and never have had a Washington Mutual account.
How can we press charges against criminals such as these?

I answered the phone and got a poor quality computer voice that warned me my MasterCard had been cancelled and if I wanted it re-instated that... I just hung up.

today on the news it reported the boeing credit bank fraud. then this number called me and said that my account was frozen and i needed to unlock it by following the automated system and putting in my account info. b.s. i said some choice words and hung up. my wifes coworker was contacted as well. she called the police. 1-888-811-0893  is a scam! stop listening. hang up. dont answer
