I see 2 possibilities here:
1)  helper is one of the scammers.  He works for International Monitary Metals.  If you call that number he will convince you to invest with that scam company.

2)  helper is a different scammer.  He is collecting numbers to contact with a different scam.

No one should call that number.

Hello all,
This whole thing sounds pretty ridiculous. It seems like this is a site for disgruntled ex employees and unfit investors. I am an ex IMM investor who made big money with the company and received the funds when I was supposed to when I sold. You are all on here complaining, but it is clear by your misspelled word and stories that you're all FOS. There is no company I would reinvest in besides them, and I wish you cowards would go do something useful to society instead of trying to scare off people from accumulating wealth. Thank you IMM and affiliates for your help, and I truly apologize for the bad rep these uneducated scum are trying to lay at your door steps.

Been working with these guys for over 2 and 1/2 years paid the 15% fees , and have had my principle sent back in profitable segements, to the tune of my entire initial investment.
Have had access to both my account and numerous reps. They are expensive but I do believe it takes money to make money.
I certainly did and I'm happy that I made the decision to get involved with them.

yeah, my phone just rang, let the ans machine get it, and of course, it's good old "Vic Fishman" calling again. {I thought he said Vic Gershwin, and my heart fluttered; "one of the famous Gershwins?  Back from the grave?  And he {either George or Ira, take your pick} wants to speak with ME?"  Talk about your Rhapsody in Blue!

How would you like to break bread with this thief?  I'd be worried he'd pocket the silverware soon as i hit the bathroom.  when i read, from time to time on this forum, how people "almost" went for the pitch, it really blows my mind.  People, listen:  NO ONE, but NO ONE who calls you has anything good in mind.  Remember when we told our kids "don't talk to strangers"?  Well, remember that sage advice, and take it yourselves, please.  No wonder these creeps never go away, there are way too many sheep out there, just a-waiting to be fleeced.

I just received a call form International Monetary Metals stating that I have just lost all my investment with them due to the Asain market drop. I have paid management fees to this company to manage my account with the assurance that they would buy and sell as the market indicates.
I am call and call to add to my investment which I did and have now lost 1000 oz of silver.  I call back and get a load of s..t about how I can reinvest without paying a management fee just to smooth over the blow that I lost everything.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL MAKE EVERYTHING SEEM GREAT AND WHEN THE MARKET DIVES THEY LET YOU DIE ON THE VINE AND KEEP ALL YOUR MONEY.

Received a phone call on my work phone (TG for caller ID). Did not answer. Listened to the message from some pushy bi***, stated her name "Sherri Haynes", said her administrators were breathing down her neck to contact me (LMFAO!). She has a package for me but only has part of my address & wanted to verify the correct address and to call her back 888 811-1718 extenstion 206. Never even mentioned what company she was with. Does she think I'm that MF stupid. So upon investigating I see she is affiliated with International Monetary Metals.

Got a call today from Frank Maffo, 888-811-1718 ext. 202, stating the same thing everyone else was saying: that they had a package for me and that the address I sent them was wrong. I signed up for something on Bernie Schaeffer's site. Before you put orders in on his site he gives you a bunch of free offers from his "affiliates" (some of which are legit and some of which aren't). IMM was one of them.

Not only did the dishonesty completely weird me out, but the guy was talking like the phone was wiretapped or something. I thought it was pretty weird, so I googled them and came across this site. Needless to say, they won't be getting my money. Somebody please report them!

If you are a truly happy customer keep something in mind, Bernie Madoff had happy customers too, for many, many years.

In his own words, " The entire financial system is one giant pyramid scheme.."

Madoff had been a prominent member of the securities industry throughout his career. He served as vice chairman of the NASD, a member of its board of governors, and chairman of its New York region. He was also a member of NASDAQ Stock Market?s board of governors and its executive committee and served as chairman of its trading committee. Madoff founded his investment advisory firm in 1960.

and you trust your hard earned money with an ex-hairdresser from New Jersey who had one of his minions call you from ( what we who used to be in the business called) a "suckers list"?

Truly you've been blessed with ingenius financial insight.

Let me guess, you prayed about your decision and God gave you the greenlight?

I Invested in silver through these guys  2 yrs ago....very positive and money making investment...If you are an investor you know there is risk in any investment...much happier here than in the stock market or a bank at 0% interest...i recommend this to others... start small and grow from there....thats what I have done.....you need to monitor your progress and be in tune to where your investment is and you need to be ready to make decisions...it has really educated me on the finacial issues in the world....I dont agree with any of the complaints on this site as it appears to me they havent invested here....the IMM group have treated me very well....

I got the same message on my voicemail, but from Neal, at extension 213.  Sounds like a call center with multiple callers using the same script.  I think more state AGs need to be called into this one to see if they can't be shut down permanent like.

As one who had the misfortune to work for John Menoutis - narcissistic slimeball - the methods and closes outlined in the post above are the ones he has been using for years to con investors out of their hard earned dollars.

Oh ......... and have you noticed the price bubble has burst on both Gold and Silver??????
Check the prices from a week ago and today.

Hope y'all got out. Good luck. These firms will implode now.

THEABOVE LINKS LOOK FOR THE NAME JOHN MENUTOUS

HE IS THE CURRENT SALES MANAGER/BRAGGART/MEGLOMANIAC THAT IS BEHIND THE TELEMARKETER YOUR TALKING TO.

HIS PARTNER MARTY SOMMERS HAS HIS NAME ON THE CORP SO AS TO HIDE THE SCUMBAG YOU WOULDN'T SELL A NICKEL TO FOR A DIME IF YOU KNEW WHO HE WAS.

BY HIS OWN ADMISSION HE KNOW LESS ABOUT SILVER THEN MOST OF YOU AND MAKES NO BONES ABOUT WHAT HE'S ABOUT: SALES and my friends, a good salesmen makes you think that all of his ideas are your ideas. its a craft and an art that can be taught and developed. the only thing that matters to john M and to be fair, everyone else who calls you is CLOSING THE DEAL. some are just better at it  then others. its also a numbers game... call enough people and 1 out of 10 will be interested/ out of those that show interest 1out of ten will get "fronted" i.e sent a package because you qualify for both money and interest/ from that group 1 out of ten will send money...thats the game..your job is to give them reasons why you wont/cant/etc and their job(if their polished enough) is to assure you how ridiculous your objections are by overcomming them...and trust me, those of us who have been in this business (who are good at what we do) almost laugh at how few and lame and easy it is to overcome the objections you give..we've heard them time and time again..you may think your excuse is original but trust..its a joke to a truely talanted closer

good luck
from
someone so talanted I dont even care what people write, if your reading this you didnt talk to me If you did you would be so assured that you made a trusted friend that I don't even warrant checking out because your so confident that it was you that made all the decisions..in reality I had lead them like a lost puppy down to their bank to have them wire me as much money as they could afford...dont hate the player..hate the game

this is their formula for getting your $$

1- intoduction (often accompanied by a fake interruption by a non existant assistant who they inquire as to where they got your info i.e seminar, radio, TV-none of which they do for advertising-its all internet based and purchaced from lead brokers)

2- build credibility for themself i.e "Ive been in this business for X number of years" as they build rapport with you i.e where you from? montana? I got a brother in montana. do you golf? fish? really, so do I etc.

3-talk about the economy i.e hows the economy out there where you are? etc.

4- discuss supply and demand- usually dissusing the diminishing amount of above ground silver and some examples of the high demand from countries like china technology etc.

5- price- where do you thing the price of silver is going? up. really, then you agree that timing is the key to making money correct?

6- then what they term money in/ money out--this is where they give you various arbitrary examples in which they bought and sold and of course made money for their clients always being sure to mention they never get you out at the absolute top or bottom but that their International research and trading department makes those decisions..which would be kosher if they actually had a research and trading dept.

7- promise to do you a favor such as sending you a special book or cd rom that they normally only send to established clients to make you feel special..spoiler alert..they send that book and cd rom to everyone

8 then if you qualify meaning you got 30K+ they send you a package of generic info thats not worth the paper its printed on

9 the 2nd phone call- thats where they pretentend to be in a rush for one reason or another but just what to get you re excited by telling you that they went through hell and back to get you that book or cd rom

10- THE CLOSE- a.ka as the 3rd phone call  "John, boy am i glad i got a hold of you , i just got out of a redlight meeting with research and trading and the news is BIGGER AND BETTER THEN BOTH OF US EVEN IMAGINED, DO THIS GRAB THE PACKAGE I SENT YOU AND ILL LET YOU IN ON WHAT THEY TOLD US ETC. this is when they go for the jugular. they have an answer for every objection you can think of and by now have put you up against the wall with your own words and commitments. the "good" ones will never hang up before you do because lets face it most objections are just lies in an attempt to get them off your back.

keep in mind your hearing this pitch and giving your objections for the first time- these guys do this all day and know what your going to say to there carefully constructioned questions designed to get you to agree with them.

CLOSING IS AN ART AND THESE GUYS PRACTICE DOING IT DAY IN AND DAY OUT.

If your reading this your probably already familar somewhat with what Ive said above as they have called you

keep in mind just who your dealing with by clicking the below links..

want to invest in silver or gold in the safest possible way?

1- contact no less then 3 companies and ask what percentage they charge above the "spot" price. For those that don't know that is the term used to describe the global price of silver, gold, platinum etc. It's the same in Louisiana as it is in Liberia as it is traded on Global Markets and referrs only to "investment grade" bullion i.e 99.999%.

2- Try to deal with someone local if possible as shipping and insurance charges will eat into your profits.

3- I've seen everything from 1% to 30% above spot from various dealers, so keep in mind that in order to break even you must first overcome the difference between the spot price and what you paid per ounce, which changes minute by minute 24/7.

4- unless you plan on only purchacing "small" ammounts ( general considered under 1000ozs) you should also factor in insurance and storage costs, keeping in mind that safty deposit boxes may sound "safe" and they well may be but they are not insured.

5- IMM always mentions your metals are stored at deleware depositary and is insured by Lloyds of London when in fact , their clearing firm "Worth Bullion" decides where your metals will be stored. Delaware Depository.com is a great place to store bullion but IMM does not make money storing and insuring your bullion, they make money by leveraging your metal and charging you 4 or 5%  or maybe even more Im not exactly sure above prime, up to 5:1 leverage is their goal + financing charges. Factor in the 15% off the top and I'll leave you to do the math as I have no idea what ammount of money your looking to invest.

6- Above all other factors and considerations, like any investment you should be the one to initate contact. People who call you on the phone with the intention of having you send them money play on one of two human emotions 1-FEAR 2-GREED. Investing should be devoid of emotions whether your buying silver or stocks. People who call you have nothing to work with if you are neither AFRAID of losing out on some incredible opportunity or so GREEDY you can be manipulated into thinking if you don't act NOW NOW NOW you will regret it later.

7- Silver is a great investment, if you buy it at a good price and sell it at a better one. It also holds great promise of increasing dramatically over time. Just be careful who you deal with. As a general rule, people who call you because you filled out a form expecting "Information" rarely expect or hope for a telemarketer to call looking for a commission. The funniest thing about IMM is that they say they get paid a salary and that the 15% goes toward storage, insurance, and 5 years of unlimited trading. I've never met a telemarketer in my life(And I've met  thousands) who didn't work on commission. That's what makes selling precious metal  so attractive..the commission!
