My wife received a call from this number stating that they have pending litigation against her for a debt. So she makes a deal with them and asks for proof of the debt...needless to say we have not seen any proof of this debt. Now we are trying to reach them on this number 888-811-8510 and we are getting a fast busy signal.
Anyone have any thoughts on this!!! A quick response would be appreciated

They call said they had paper to serve me from my county. Said I had 3 hours to return their call or I should have my atty call them. They said they have already verify my employment. Well that is funny! I have been a housewife for over 12 years. How did they verify my employment? I contact a friend of mine who an atty. He looked up my name at the county house..NOTHING! These people are full of crap.

Where should I start? A legitimate debt collector will not threaten you with arrest, and they are legally bound to send you a debt validation letter. Please read up on the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) to know your rights. Any company that will not send you validation of a debt, or who tries to collect after the debt is outwith the sol is by definition, a scam!

Yes - it's a scam!

Called number to reply to message left and was told I was listed as a secondary for someone but they would give me no information. Very rude and hostile.

Thank for your posts. I am not even going to waste the time to call. They left a messg. saying they where just the servers and that I could call this 888 number and settle with the company directly. Which really had me confused as all my debt have been settled! Over 10 yrs. . Glad I looked up number before calling.

Did they serve you?
| SIMPLY NOT TRUE 2013-03-21 17:29:17 Debt Collector |
Very difficult, unprofessional and rude. They pretend to be a process server and really they are a company that buys old debt (7+ years) that has been written off for pennies on the dollar. They harass anyone with your same last name. They are not exactly a professional group. They attempt to use a great deal of legal terms to get information out of you. Real process servers do not call you to give you notice, you are just served.

They harass anyone with your same last name and they call your employer. Legally they can not call your employer again if you tell them not to but they are not exactly a professional group. They attempt to use a great deal of legal terms to get information out of you. Real process servers do not call you to give you notice, you are just served. It is best to record all your conversations with them.

They are trying to collect money or get sufficient info to decide if it's worth it to sue people who have broken a contract.
