I also received the notecard indicating a parcel pick-up.  Everything that everyone is detailing.  I googled the address were the item was being held and it turned out to be a company in Grand Rapids dealing with vacations.  Tried to write a review about their deceptive practices and the submit button would not work.  What a surprise.  This is a scam.

Thank you everyone!! I got the "parcel pick-up notice" yesterday.  Since I ordered something on the mail, something really heavy, I thought it was regular procedure to get the note.  I called but the call keeps on "failing."  Thanks to your comments I am tossing it away.
Thank you

Obviously ShillKill is involved. Why would anyone or any company just hand out Tablets? If that's what they wanted to do why didn't they mail them to our Homes instead of these misleading yellow cards. I'm sure they get there hooks in some unsuspecting Old Timer, Kid or College Student. The UPS knows it is scam mail yet takes money to send it out. Greed, why are they allowed to send known criminals to send these letters?

You don't have to believe me! All I know is I'm sitting here enjoying my FREE tablet because I didn't run to the internet crying "SCAM" just because I received a postcard in the mail from someone other than grandma. I took the time to call about it (and at that point received the address of the nearest Global Vacation office) and instead of just hanging up, went and checked it out. By the way, the nearest office to me is in Dublin, Ohio.

Really?  Fine.

1.  Now, tell us exactly where you went to pick this item up at.  Give us a physical address.  Of a real building.   In a real neighborhood.   We'll check it out on Google Earth.
2.  Tell us the name of the person who supposedly just gave you the item.

I'd like to contact this person whoever he or she is, because I have some choice words for him or her.  So do a lot of other people.

Did any of you actually GO to get your free tablet? I receive a yellow postcard from Global Vacation Network that stated I had a parcel pick up, and it stated that I had 72 hours to call. I was skeptical, but I called anyway to see what this "parcel" was. I was on hold for a good 10 minutes and a lady came on and told me that I had been selected for a free Android tablet, all I had to do was schedule a time to pick it up. So I did. I took my friend with me to pick up this tablet, and we were both convinced that this was a scam...especially after reading all of this! NOPE. Unlike all of you a***oles, I have a brand new Android tablet because I actually took the time to check it out. It was no hassle. It was actually easier than I thought it would be...no listening to a timeshare seminar...no pushing a cruise down your throat...no investment bullcrap. We went in, gave our name, showed our ID and we're handed a tablet. New in the box. That's it.

I received the same postcard on May 20, 2014.  From West Palm Beach.  Tried to do a reverse look up on the phone number but there was no info.  Obviously this is a scam.  I am turning it into the USPS Postal Inspectors.  Please consider doing the same. I would not suggest calling the number because then they will have your phone number as well.

Received a Parcel Pickup Notice at my parents address where I haven't lived for 30 years from 888-684-2674. SCAM address was sent from West Palm Beach,FL and will surely be for the Android phone, etc; all I have to do is listen to a sales ad for an hour or two about buying a time share or some resort hoopla. Do not call and do not give up your information.
