Received no less than ten calls this week. A lady with a soft accented voice (Hispanic?) asked for my father by his first name. Claims she is taking a survey for a local agency on people with mobility issues to help them get a power scooter. Started asking about insurance coverage. I shut her down quick saying we don't give out private information over the phone when we didn't initiate the call. She called back at least three more times within 20 minutes and then 3 more times today--two times with no message left and once while I was home and I told her no one in our home has mobility issues. When the call first comes in you can tell it's an auto-dialer because there's a dead spot before she says hello. I picked up and hung up three times and they just kept calling. She is persistent and annoying!

My house just got a phone call from these retards.

They actually thought we would volunteer private information about our business, but instead of getting us to talk to a real person they used an automated message, a repeated recording, that is currently blocking all incoming and outgoing phone calls to my house.
I don't know what they hope to accomplish but my uncle, and i s*** you not, is way up the chain of command of the federal police. He was in London after the bus bombings and helped track down the terrorists. These guys, or girls, are way out of their league and I really don't mind being instrumental in their downfall.

I recommend everyone screen their calls, and I also ask everyone to post as much information as they can, and soon, so I can pass it on to my uncle. He is good at finding people (see above). Cheers.

A womans voice actually left a message telling me that they have an important business matter to discuss with me. Yeah, right.

You might get a call from a debt collector if someone you know gave your number as a secondary contact.  I get them for my daughter's ex-insignificant other.  I asked to be removed.  I also tell them that if they had called before they extended credit, that I would have told them that he is a bad risk.

I am tired of these people calling me, do not leave a message and I star 67 and dial the number and no one answers the phone and then once I did the same thing a gentlemen answered the phone just saying hello, no company name mentioned I am tired of these people calling me.  Calling my cell phone

Recd a phone call a little while ago on my landline.  I called the number using my cell phone.  A man by the last name of Garcia answered.  He asked the number that was called so that he could pull up the account.  I gave him the landline number.  He asked me for my name and I refused to give that to him.  He kept asking and I kept refusing.  I told him that since someone called that number, he can atleast be considerate enough to tell me why he is calling us.  He said he wasn't able to pull up the account (sounds like he contradicted himself.)  I told him that either his company is either a scam or they are a debt collector and that he is never to call that number again.  That we are on a do not call list and if he wants to speak to us, he's to contact us in writing.  I then told him that the call has ended.

Since nobody is behind on their bills, it shouldn't be a debt collector.

Sounds like someone trying to collect information.  Maybe a private investigator or debt collector, probably the later.

called asking for wife by first name, demanding that I identify myself by name.  I only offered that the person they asked for was my spouse.  They continued to ask for my name.  I continued to offer than I am her spouse.  they continued to ask for my name!

THIS IS YOUR RIGHT TO REPORT THESE CLOWNS.  IF YOU DON'T THEN YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN.  REMEMBER, REPORT THEM ON THE FIRST CALL.  NEVER OFFER YOUR NAME OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE CALLING.  IF IT IS A LEGITIMATE CALL FROM A PARTY TO WHOM YOU HAVE BUSINESS WITH, THEY WILL ALREADY KNOW TO WHOM THEY ARE CALLING.  REPEAT... NEVER OFFER INFORMATION... MAKE THEM IDENTIFY THEMSELVES.

Keeps calling 3 - 4 times a day.  Told if they call one more time i will file a complaint with the FCC

Lady called, said name was Cindy Lopez with Loyalty Advantage Payment Group. Asked for owner by name, said had offer of rate reduction to current payment system. Same results as affordableoil's post.
Why bother having a federal do not call list if these scum can continue to operate even after being reported???

Asked to speak with "first name" which was the owner, I said he was not here and I could take a message.
She then asked to speak with the person in charge of debit purchase machine.

said she was representing Loyalty Advantage Payment Group. Very rude as I said I was not interested.Said insisted she would call back and I told her not to. She said she would and then hung up. I called them back several times and asked to speak with the Supervisor whom got on the phjone and I told him to stop calling people and wasting their time, that I knew he was a scammer and to get a real job.

He said ok and then hung up.

Jerking her around by telling her I will send info. show them how it feels. I may call them and see if I can sell them something.
