What debtors are you referring to?  The supposed debtors that are getting all these FDCPA-violating calls about nonexistent debts that scammers like you refuse to validate?  Why don't you stop making excuses and obey the FDCPA?!  A true scamming shill like you always tries to hide behind lies and threats of nonexistent lawsuits (another FDCPA violation).  

If a person legitimately owes a debt, then you should have no problem obeying the law while trying to collect on it.  People should pay the debts they owe, but need to make sure they are paying the entity that is legally entitled to collect it.  And I'm pretty sure that's not you and your buddies who call people from this number.

Why don't you debtors just stop complaining and pay your bills! I mean seriously if you are called and you are advised of your bill and your balance, whether the statue limit is reached or not, if you know you owe the bill for which you are being called for contact the direct merchant. Find out who your debt was sold to, and pay your bill. Stop trying to make excuses. A true debtor always tries to hide behind the statue, I really hate when a debtor claims fraud but yet they were making payments then stopped!

I received this very same call at my work of employment! They actually spoke with my human resource department since I was not at my desk at the time. How embarrassing when you get a message that you are going to be served papers at work between certain hours that day if you do not return the call. Same number 888-828-6608 (David Green -funny huh last name is Green) (Case #55954RZL). Thank goodness I had enough smarts to research the number before calling since I knew I didn't have any reason to be served papers but you never know. I did call the number and got pretty irate when they wanted to verify my info. I said I had a case number and that is all that they needed to get my info. Of course once they verified my info my birthdate and social security numbers were switched around and they stated they had the wrong person. Really you asked for me by name at my employment when you called. This is really kinda scary that they are that brazen. I called the attorney general had them fax me a copy of complaint which I am in the process of filling out now. This is so much bull that there are such low life people out there. Get a job and work like the rest of us and quit stealing! Hate a thief!!!

I received a call from this number and was threatedned I was being sued for a debt collection. I was going to be receiving pprs at work by Friday at noon if I did not pay. I did provide them the upfront payment and now i realize they are apparently a scam artist and I have LITERALLY SCREWED myself! I just want my money back NOW !!!!!!

So I called and there is a case against me I guess, anyone know what could happen if I don't show up?

No show at 2:30. They just called me about 30 minutes ago asking for me and I said they could not  call me again. Of  course they will. I called asking  for their bar information and bond information which is public information when asked and all I got was an argument so I truly don't think they are legit. I think they searched  up my credit report and saw that my debt for this particular one was sold off to someone and they are trying to get the money from me. I had another company try this on me earlier this year with the same exact debt, so I'm pretty sure by now i would've been taken to court.

I just looked at my credit report, and this particular debt was purchased by a company called LVNV FUNDING, LLC. There is nothing on my credit report about my debt being sent to court or anything. There's no update on that at all. But RS&Associates is claiming the ORIGINAL people I had the debt with hired them, not the ones who purchased my debt. So yeah, i'll just wait for the court thing.

One more note: The debt they are going after me for, the statute of limitations ran out as of September of this year. So 08/2012. They are attempting to get money from me for something that is out of date.

Do yourselves a favor and go to annualcreditreport.com and check the debt they are calling about. Look at it carefully. It should say "Date of report" which means the date you went delinquent on it. THAT is the start date of your statute of limitations. If you see anywhere that it is different than that date then dispute it. Then count 4 years (or however many for your state) and if you're past the statute of limitations, then breathe easy.

Call your local county and district courts, and verify if there is a court case against you. They will have your name in the system as they can only serve you if you have a case already pending against you. If there is nothing, then inform the courts that you were served with false papers at work. They will tell you what to do next.


Let us all know if you do have a case against you. This will help us understand if this company is legit or not.

This idiots just served me at work? is that even legal? what should I do next? do I have to show up in court? please someone, this is the first time I ever get served, don't know what to do.

So, I got a call from a private number about 2 hours ago stating they wanted to serve me with legal documents between 2 and 2:30 at my home. They stated they had no information regarding what it was concerning but had a number for me to call and gave me the 888-828-6608. I called them, and I'm told that a law suit is pending against me for an old credit card debt I had. This debt itself is five years old if not six. Texas statute of limitations is four. So at this point because we're hitting the 7 year mark soon they're going to try anything to get me to pay.

They asked for me by my maiden name, never even verified my married name. They state that I had a choice of paying almost $2500 and they'd send notes to credit bureaus stating I paid in full so it would help my credit score. Or I could put $500 down and $200 a month until paid off.

I'm then told  I had until I was given the documents to do this otherwise after that they couldn't help me. I tell them i'm supposed to get served at 2:30, and i'm told I have until 3PM to call them back....so wait now I can call after that time?

I called the courthouse and they checked both county and district. There is no lawsuit against me in my married name or maiden name. They also stated that my county does not use process servers or any kind. I'd have been served by an officer/constable/sheriff. Also I would not have been warned of them coming. Considering they didn't bother to verify my address, or my married name, it's obvious they weren't intending on coming!

Unless someone knocks on my door at 2:30 and surprises me (which if they do i'll update this) just remind yourself, you will NEVER be warned they're coming lol. I'd remind them that this is false representation and as they are breaking the law in doing this, they legally cannot contact you again.

another call from rs and associates.. they said i owed a company and was serving papers from 2-5. their "attorney" was sitting right beside them and wanted my bank card number. isaid "that's what they make the amil man for.. you're coming clear from anaheim california to deliver me a paper? come on!!! i hung up the phone!! please don't fall for it, i'm begging ya!!!

Caller is male. In his voicemail message, he states there is a complaint document that will be delivered to my work address if I don't call back within 24 hours. He goes on to verify my work mailing address. A while back (2-3 months) I got a similar call from a female caller, using the same threating tone and message.  I have not idea what they are referring to and I don't like the threats.

Received a telephone call from 714-453-1953.  What came up on the caller ID was 'RSANDASSOCIATES'....no separation of letters/words.  Idiot female told me that she was calling about the 'charges against' me and proceeded to give me another telephone number to call and a supposed case number.  The telephone number she told me to call was 888-828-6608.  She refused to tell me what the 'charges against' me were or give me any further information.  I told her I would not be calling anyone until I had more information.  When she told me again that I needed to call the 888-828-6608 and give them the supposed case number, I told her to pass the word along that I am NOT calling on this, then I hung up.  

The creatures must think I am stupid.  If in fact there had been 'charges against' me filed, then why would I have not received some sort of notice by mail or a sheriffs deputy at my door?  I do not care who these creatures are....as far as I am concerned, they are liars, rip-offs, scam artist, etc. and I do not abide the likes of them, nor will I fall for their garbage.

Robert Stone called me from 407-793-7111 which is a Walt Disney World's Phone Number - more specifically  -  The All Stars Resort.  Stated that I had 30 minues to call 888-828-6608 before he reports me and he is doing me a favor because evidently I don't know anything about it.  THIS IS A SCAM!!!!  Don't fall for this, folks - do your own investigation!  AND ROBERT STONE IS PROBABLY A PHONY NAME!!!
