These people keep calling me & don't leave a message. They have called me twice in one day even.

The best way to stop these calls is to buy a Panasonic Phone that has Call Block built in to it. The model I have is KX-TG6531 or if you have Verizon phone service you can go online & block numbers from their website.

The DNC list doesn't work but either of these options will.

Debt Collectors historically have an abysmal load of bad debt in their personal lives, and last an average of no more than six months in collections before they burn out like a dog turd in a campfire. Any collector worth a thimble of dirt wouldn't be wasting valuable time on this board sounding like a jack***. You've got nothing going on pal.

Do you ever think that there are extenuating circumstances, and have you ever been a place where you needed someone to be nice to you.  Well I hope you never find that place and if you do I have some S**** on you the way you people treat people.  Good luck getting anyone to pay you when you act like that, maybe if you were nicer to people they might actually pay you.

This company called and said this was not a sales call and was an urgent call about a certain case number.  They left no name of person or company.
Trying to scare someone I guess.

Called my mother's home looking for my son...who lives 725 miles away. My son has NO credit cards, NO loans, no owed bills in his name! He's only 22 and has NEVER even applied for a credit card! My parents are close to 80 years old! They have been getting lots of phone calls from weird companies looking for several people. They moved in June last year. It seems the new phone number they have used to be someone else's that didn't pay their bills!

Man with scary mobster voice leaves message that a family member needs to return his call by a said time and date for his own good.  I wouldn't call a sinister sounding guy like that back

I have received numerous phone calls which have become threatening over the past week or two regarding the company Ace America's Cash Express trying to collect from my mother who has not paid her loan off.  I do not speak to my mother, and I have told this company on several occasions to take my number/s off the list.  They are rude when I call back, threatening, and even hang up on me if I become upset.  I really need this company to stop harassing me!!

ASKING FOR FAMILY MEMBER. SAID INVESTIGATING A CASE, GAVE A CASE NUMBER AND SAID TO CALL BACK ASAP!

Record the call from your answering machine, if that is how it came in.  At least write down the date/ time of the call.  Send them, a return receipt letter stating it is a cease and decist demand per FDCPA, to stop calling you at the numbers they have been calling you or any other number.  If they don't stop, call them and make a demand for $1,000. If they continue to call, file a small court claim for $1,000.  Soon either they will call to settle, or the judge will award you the $1,000.  They usually stop after that.  If they don't, repeat the process.  I like them to keep calling, it's free money

These ppl are a collection agency for a place called Ace Cash Advance. They are rude and will not stop anything untill you send them a cease and disist letter. After that, you can sue them for contacting you again. The max is 5000. If anyone can get a company name and an address...then your in. Otherwise, they won't stop calling till you get fired.

These people called my sister-in-law.  She said the person who called was very intimidating with his words like we had broken the law and was going to be executed if we didn't return his urgent phone call. My sister-in-law was freaking out and practically out of breath when she called to give us the message.  So it's a collection agency?  You just don't do people like that.  It's wrong and causes a lot of emotional distress for the people who don't know what's going on. They should be sued.

i think they are very professional and doing a great job i was contacted by someone who helped me was very kind it was excellent customer service skills

you act like you're the perfect person in this world.  you act like you've never done wrong in your life.  give it up!  you sound just as ignorant.  people fall on hard times.  does that give you the right to treat people like crap?  NO!  it's the sincere, understandable caller that will get somewhere with these people in debt.  not people like you who think you're the SH** and think that by being A**HOLES you're gonna get anywhere.  get a life.  you're the one that sound stupid.

These people have no class.  They called me on Easter Sunday at 705 pm.  Just because they don't have a life or anyone to share the holiday with doesn't mean they need to ruin mine.  How rude and insensative.

This bunch has called my wife's HR Department and her boss.  They tried to extort money out of her: "$600 by 10am or I'm calling your boss!" and other threats. Their tactics go way beyond legal debt collection.

I just got a call from my 75 year old mother, who was extremely upset after these people called her threatening legal action against me. I called the number, was given NO information about what it was for, what the problem was, nothing.. UNTIL I gave them my SS. I did that and then still did not get the information until I would give them my mailing address. The woman continually YELLED at me to calm down. I had three witnesses (was on speaker) who all said I was in no way NOT calm. I called back to complain about the treatment and was again told they would not talk to me unless I gave them my info and that I was NOBODY to them. I am on disability, I am judgment proof. Regarding the bill, I told the people I owed, what happened, that I would pay it and they chose to send it to these people. I would rather have a bad credit rating than give these guys a nickel.

I don't have any debt and these people are calling me, i've already told them this is not the number for the person they are trying to reach and yet they still call me. and your trying to say debt collectors aren't shady people??? i'll be sending them a bill for all the minutes they're using up on my cell phone trying to reach some glenda person ...
