This person called my place of work and left a message saying to call back Bank Of America at this number in reguards to my credit card. When I called back this lady asked for my credit card number right away and didn't even say where she was from. I didn't give her any info. Then I called this number back again and a man answered and said he was from Visa.

I got a letter. It doesn't look real. It looks like something from a cheap printer and the English isn't all that good. The sloppy bold letters at the top say "FIA Card Services." There is nothing that I recognize about the account.

If these guys are frauds they have blown it because it is a federal charge to use the US Mails to commit a crime. This is what I suspect is going on.

read my posted mesage. this a a number to bank of america. what they do there, i do not know as of yet except close peoples credit cards. did they tell you what dept you were calling. these are very unethical, clever people that work at boa.don't call that bank they will cut your credit lines, close your accounts even if you have a spotless record with them as we did

They called my house on friday.  I called them back today and they wanted all my information, yet when I inquired about them, they tried to intimidate me by stating my credit would be closed unless I gave them my employment and income.  He gave me credit card numbers that do not match mine.  I asked for a letter to be sent to my house to protect myself.  They sounded suspect.  They never gave me their information.

They've called my home every day this week wanting to talk to me about my Bank of America credit card, but when my wife asks them to hold on a minute so she can pass me the phone they hang up. Today she finally got them to leave a call-back number so I could contact them and when I called a guy answered it as Core(?) Services. When I acted confused (I thought I was calling BofA) he hung up. Probably a telemarketer or a scam.

Thanks for the info. I received a voice mail today from them and they sounded very official and made it sound very time sensative. My BofA account is in good standing. I was a little stressed. Of course now they are closed.

It's a Bank of America referral.  They asked me the same questions;  I refused to talk with them, and called Bank of America and requested no calls or solicitations via mail or phone.

Received a call from them, when I called back it seems as though I called Bank of America, something about credit lines, the person who finally answered couldn't figure out why I was called, then he started asking questions about my finances (average income for household), etc...

It's MBNA, currently BofA if I am not mistaken.
