A man by the name of Robert Hess calls my place of employment, and my home, says have a pending case, but does not say who he is working for, anyone have any idea who this is?

It’s a “law office” (doubtful) that called me on behalf of HSBC/Orchard Bank to collect an outstanding credit card balance from more than 4 years ago. What a horrible job to have, posing as an attorney who claims they “may or may not” be able to take action. They guy (a supposed Richard Steinberg – with a spanish accent?) couldn’t answer about 80 percent of my questions. Weird. Hope this helps y’all.

i got a call from this richard guy too. technically he can't do anything in the first 30 days from the date he receives your account. he does make it sound urgent and needs to be more friendly.
unfortunately i couldnt pay what they wanted and i got served like 2 months later. i can't afford all hassle. can i settle my account for less?

He refered to himself as Richard Steinberg. Called me at work. Played up the tactics, said I had to respond to this debt settlement immediately or he would give it to someone who would use it against me. Found out he has recently sent me a letter, so what really was the point calling me with a mandatory settlement. You're absolutely right, he has forgotten all the rules.

ohhhh richard steinbach...you are good.  but not that good.  they are credit collectors for credit one bank.  please remember to look up the fair debt collection act, he has forgotten all of the rules.  it is not that we don't want to pay our debt, we are unable to at this time.  obviously he is loosing money from his dinner table because he is very persistant.  loosing his patience though.  who ever is the card holder remind him you can not have calls at work because that is his favorite place to call.  he even ask a co-worker if we had an attorney.  after he has been reminded you can actually place a suite against them for up to $1000.  http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/searches/stop-collection-calls.html

Keep getting calls from this WHATEVER (800 Service).  I keep telling them that the person they are looking for is not here nor has not been for some time.  My phone number has been mine for 3+ years.  If this is some Legal firm or some creditor they need a sting for making these calls.

What a rude person.  Called my number, had the wrong number so I asked him not to call back.  He continued with a string of rude comments and threats.  He would not tell me what company he represented.

Tell him he'll get to see them in court as that's where you'll have to go first for them to get a judgm,ent against you.

got a call from the same # - Robert Hoffmman/Heffman(?). Wants to discuss a judgment being made, and wants my statement.
