I keep getting calls and I even waited on numerous occasions for a human to pick up.  No one ever did.  I even emailed them.  No response.  I did get something in the mail saying it had to do with "the resolution of civil shoplifting" at Wal-Mart.  My 16 year old did try to shoplift, she was unsuccessful and the security guard called me.  He didn't have her arrested and Wal-Mart is out nothing, and that was the end of it.  This law firm has an "F" rating with the Utah BBB.  Has anyone successfully gotten them to go away?? Sue them??

They keep calling me about a credit card I ran up that got bought by some other company.  I thought they couldn't go after me for that can they?  Its been a year at least so a bud told me I can sue them and get money for them hassling me.  Score it twice, I say!

I used to work for this company, they are a law office that attempt to collect on debts. Although they shouldn't be calling before 8am and after 8pm, they usually have no control over who they are calling or how many times they call. If someone gets ahold of you they are to confirm whether or not you are the person they are looking for, if you are not that person all you have to do is tell them so and they should delete your number from their calling list. You cannot sue if you are the person they are attempting to collect from if they are abiding by the guidelines. If you just hang up expect calls in the future.

They are anything but legit. They are a collection agency that constantly breaks FTC laws on collections. Anyone getting calls from this shyster and do not owe anyone AND had told them to QUIT calling you, SUE the LIVIN HELL out of them. This is harassment.

He is not licensed to practice law in Nevada, but sends letters to Nevada residents threatening to sue them on behalf of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.

That is illegal under Nevada State Bar Rules, because he is not allowed to practice law in Nevada because he doesn't have a law license.

In their wording, his letters also violate the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

They first started calling me in June 2008 looking for somebody else.  After written correspondence back and forth they agreed (in writing), that they had the wrong person.  calls stopped for about 1 year, and have started up again.  Despite ackowledging they have the wrong person, they continue to call and harass me.  Said that they will continue to call until the debt is paid, even if it is not mine.  

Have hired an attorney to sue under the FDCPA and the TCPA.  Don't see how I have any choice.

Their law firm is Bennett & Deloney out of Utah.  Their old address is 1265 E. Fort Union Blvd., Suite 150, Salt Lake City, UT  84047.  Although according to them, their new address is 10542 S. Jordan Gateway, Suite 200, South Jordan, UT  84047.  Individual name partners are Michael B. Bennett and Richard H. Deloney.  Based upon a cursory background check, it appears that they can't keep people working there.  Their partner Ron Noyes, apparently got fed up and left as well.

Have received several calls from this number with no messages left.  I called it was answered by a man with Law Offices of Bennet and Malone.  I just hung up since that's what they do.

Says it is a law firm called Bennett & Malone (name shows up on my caller ID.  Asks for my personal information.  Says it is not a telemarketer.  Has called and asked for my personal information about twice before.

I am receiving calls twice a day at least from this number 888-832-0243. They never leave a message. I called back and a recording said my call would be answered by the next available representative. I just hung up. I am not wasting my cell phone minutes on someone I don't even know!

It's a collection agency or something similar...people trying to collect a debt.

This caller is a debt collection service.  It appears they simply dial a block of numbers and hope for a hit on one of the debts they are collecting.  In my case they have called an unlisted call forwarding number a few times in the past few days.  The number they call is actually owned by the company which offers the call forwarding service.  Fortunately the call forwarding service now offers a "SPAM" filter.  As of now the service will return "This number is no longer in service" to any caller with caller ID 888-832-0243.

I filed complaints with the Department of Justice, The Federal Trade Commission, and Law Enforcement.  Once I obtained Reference/Report numbers, I contacted my phone carrier and had ALL their numbers blocked. After 4 months of ignoring them, I finally got fed up and decided to do something about it! I put forth the time and effort to file complaints.  If enought people do as well, then these people will be fined and/or shut down.

they are a collection agency. i paid my debt but they are still calling saying my debt to a company is not paid off, every once in a while they leave a message stating its time sensitive and a legal matter for about the past two years, i spoke with the people i paid my debt to and they just tell me to tell them to not call any more or have Bennett and Malone call them- what type of professional business is that? all they do is HARASS. I KEPT ALL MY RECORDS JUST IN CASE THEY TRY TO TAKE ME TO COURT.

Actually, I checked... the firm IS licensed in Nevada...
