It's a debt collection company illegally scaring you into validating your home address so a court summons can be delivered. When pressed for details, they get real angry and I have gotten a couple of them calling me names. Fact is: no such court summons exists and they are breaking the law saying they will be delivering a summons. They are misrepresenting themselves in order to collect on an old debt. The callers tend to be in their early 20's and have the IQ of Wal-Mart employees. They have persistently called my relatives, my work and my phone. Evidently, they have me tracked. To really get them angry, this is what you need to ask them:
1. What is your name?
2. What is your address?
They will then claim they are a courier service and they just verify addresses before they send couriers.
When you press them some more: who is your employer, etc?
They get highly agitated and begin calling you names or being ignorant.
I have actually enjoyed hearing them get so mad simply because they are breaking the debt collection laws. It's a nice way to punish them.
Also, do not worry. When they resort to these extremes, they are desperate. Continue doing whatever you are doing. Do not give them any money. When I reported these incidents to the attorney general of Bucks County, PA, he concurred that these are illegal means to secure payment. In fact, they have not been able to prosecute them. Their time is coming and I certainly hope people continue reporting them. If you don't report them, they will continue their harassment.

These jerks crossed the line when they first claimed they would not take a money order to secure the debt, then when they found my brother's name on facebook and started harassing him. Now I have an attorney and am going after them for emotional distress, harassment, illegal debt practices, and deframation of character. They will not provide the verification of the debt and refuse to "cease to exist" so now it's time to play hard ball

If you owe a debt pay it back and then there wont be debt collectors. You are the original scumb bags that make debt collecting happen pay for damn bills and none of this would have ever happened in the first place. Dont be mad at the people that have a job to do because you dont have a job that you get a paycheck to pay off your debts. Stop being the scumb bag and there wont be scumb bags to live off the originals. All in all PAY YOUR DAMN BILLS.

Received a call from Ms. Harris stating that she is going to garnish my wages if I don't pay a debt.

The tactics these guys are using are ILLEGAL...spell that, I---L---L---E---G--A---L, in and of themselves (any debt collector who wants to pretend to be a normal person on here and TRY to refute this can consult the FDCPA because ICS, JEC Law, Northtown Capital  breaks EVERY component of it, and I can provide MP3 labeled recorded files of their calls to back up everything I say)...THEY CANT *****AND WONT****** TAKE YOU TO COURT BECAUSE THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW THEMSELVES, and their networth is not such to risk going to court...they are as broke as any normal person is right now!!!!!!!!!....save your voicemails and sue them for $1000 per call, because I can assure you with every call they make to you, they are breaking the law...they dont know how to collect debt without breaking the law to do it.  TOBIAS BOYLAND invented this type of collection...Google the name and educate yourself about this scam!!!!     This company is known as Northtown Cap, JEC "Law Firm", and ICS Interstate Check Systems...all of them are the same entity and all are a SCAM!!!!!!  Beware, dont pay them one single red cent!!!!!!!  Whether or not you owe a debt, DO NOT PAY THEM...go to the original creditor because its much safer and they WILL take the payment...anyone who says otherwise on this website is just a collector in disguise.

All these people do is say Anything to try and make you give them your financial info. When they call mei first of all they called my moms phone and she called bu***hit on them and they hung up on her. So I called and told them I could send a money order they would not give me an address and when I questioned them on why I couldn't have their areas they hung up on me they hung up so I called back again and they threatend to send the police from texas to kick down my door. This was when I told to go right ahead! So far nobody has kicked my door in yet lol! Dont send any money to them!

I have to agree that the idiotic comments left here either praising ics or astonishing people seeking advice about the company must be in cohorts with them.  I have recorded the moronic and inaccuratemessages left on my cell.  Having a website or filing incorporation papers is no guarantee of legitimacy.  They are simply persons that make their living attempting to collect on any paper they can purchase.  If I could post their ludicrous voicemail here I would.  My advise?  Never speak to them and never answer a blocked caller ID.  If it is an important call that you need to receive, you will get a message.

These people have been calling me about twice a day for the past six months saying the same thing over and over again. That I need to contact them because I am a suspect for check fraud. That I have 24 hours to call them back or they are filing a law suit against me and taking me to court. 6 months later...no one has shown up to my work or house to serve me papers. My mother works for a major credit card company in the fraud dept. She says that small companies like ICS purchase these old debts for about 5 cents and then collect the money owed for themselves. I will continue to ignore these calls until I get served. Don't get dooped!!!!!!

"Logan" called me today. telling me that I had 24hrs to call him or the proper paperwork would be filed with the county clerk.. Last I knew the ICS law firm was listed on the scam list under the # 888-408-3144.
I received several phone calls last fall from a Erica Sheridan.  The calls came even when I informed her that I was notifying my local police dept of her scam.  The calls lasted a few weeks then ended.

this people have been calling me to work.  today it was "Logan" investigator with ICS in conjunction with Hays County Sherriff's Department.  They are so full of it!  Don't give them any money, they are a third party collections firm trying to collect money on an old debt.

You undoubtedly work for this company because you are the only one out of hundreds that say they are legimate, that is really strange. These people are attorneys true enough and the owner Jason Djakubec has had 2 felony convictions in New York state, so undoubtedly you didn't do your homework as well as you should. They are not listed with the BBB in New York and are shown all over the internet as frauds and scammers. So, anyone reading this PLEASE BEWARE !!!

If the person calling speaks to the person they are trying to contact they do have to identify themselves, their company and the reason they are calling.  If they are leaving a voice mail message they are actually not allowed to mention the reason for their call.

I received a call from a Denise Parker that stated that someone had gotten a hold of my social security number and committed fraud with it.  She was calling to discuss rectifying the issue and protect my credit.
Turns out it was a completely bogus phone call and they wanted me to pay a bill (one that was paid two years ago).  I told her to call me back with a fax number that I could send proof of payment to and she continued to talk as I hung up.  
Unfortunately for her, she called my business line and I had no other choice but to report it, as it is considered harrassment and no one in our state is to call business lines to make collection calls.
Beware of poor, phony business tactics used by this company.

My boyfriend received a call from this number, her name was Lisa Morgan, stating that she was from ICS law group and that she was informing him of allegations brought on against him and that him or his lawyer needed to contact their offices... We called and nobody answered... I dnt know if this is a phony collections call like the once stated above?

Pretty sure you have to disclose that you're calling to collect a debt, though, correct?

"ICS" called me as well -but it was like twice in a 30 day period. I had totally forgot about owing this check as i took my cash advancement in 2008 as well. My identity was stolen which caused the need   for me to close my checking account and open a new one. I'm actually glad they contacted me so i could clear up my check as I'm a responsible adult. The investigator was very professional and courteous, as well i wasn't talked to like a " piece of crap " As we all know and have been contacted by bill collectors in the past !  This company did provide the ness. documentation and yes there are attorneys ! I also did my home work !  Kuddo's to ICS !  and thank you so much for all your help

the people that are defending this company all work for them.
they are not lawyers. they are bottom feeding scum debt collectors and nothing more.
most of these things cannot be collected on. further, most internet "loans" are not permitted in some states and CANNOT be collected on. that's the stupidity of the loan company. further, this company is not licensed to collect in most states. bottom feeders. period. it's really laughable. what's more humorous are the threats and comments left that you will be put in jail. no. in the US debtor's prisons are out of fashion. they can try to get money by intimidation tactics but, most likely, they will not take you to court because you would then be able to present your evidence of their unlawful practices.

I have been in the 3rd party collection industry for over 20 years and the tactic these people are using is highly illegal they refuse to tell what ICS stands for and it has to stand for something.. they refuse to give out there address and they refuse to identify any attorneys whom may be assigned to file suit against me which is all highly illegal per the fdcpa they have to identify who they are what their address is and what the state filed civil suit # is so I can look it up they could and would not provide that info so this is a dirty collection agency collection on garage debt and using dirty tactics... DONT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY

i was also contacted by this company. I did take out a payday loan from Arrowhead investments in 2008,could not find the contact number to contact them after I paid them and now this company is saying they are a law firm who is going to have me arrested for check fraud, and have me arrested. I am pretty sure this is a threat which is illegal. They are using an address from years ago in a state that allows payday loans because the state I live in now, Maine has this company Arrowhead investments on the list that they can not do business in maine. So ICS is using my old address from 6 years ago, because they know maine will not allow them to do anything!

I got a call from this number today at work.  The woman on the other line said that her name was Mya Thompson and that she was calling about a payday loan I took out in December 2008.  I did take out some loans at that time, but I paid them all back.  I almost got scammed like this last year.  Does anyone know how I can keep these people from calling me.

I keep getting harassing phone calls from ICS, stating that I have committed fraud and is threatening to take me to court for $900.00 plus court cost. The ICS person name Jim Growing, and he said he was an attornery.

I received a call from Jim Growing, he said that he is an attorney and is filing charge against me for fraud and that I own $900.00 dollars plus court cost. The loan he's trying to collect his already be paid two years ago.
