Just got a call tonight from Michelle at Alligent Tours. Sounded legit, but same shtick as everyone else on this thread: two round trip airfare, two night stay, year long vouchers, give code CPI. Just have to pick them up in person in Lombard. Same address as listed previously, but sounds like they go by several different names.

After I got off the phone, I immediately looked for their website, which doesn't exist. Sorry, but no legit company nowadays survives without a website so I figured it must be BS.

Appreciate everyone posting about their experience. Definitely not wasting my time now!

I also received a call from Noelle.  I had filled in a raffle at Maifest.  Noelle said 2 free airline tickets and 3 nite stay.  No time share but would need to see a credit card- Duh- worst trick in the book.  I think we should all call or email Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce and report this company _ Allegiant Tours 1919 S Highland Lombard IL Suite 821, 630-537-0903
They should not have dicey firms hawking peoples contact info

I received the same call from Noel. I was also at the Mai Fest and filled out a raffle for Blackhawks tickets. My husband and I went to the meeting in Lombard and it was pretty sketchy, but we ended up staying through the whole thing to hear what they had to say.
The first presentation was only about :30 mins with this fast talker girl, but then one of the VPs of the company, who "happened to be in town", came in to give the other half of the presentation (which took 2 hours). This guy was pretty persistent and tried to sell their vacation plan for 1984 throw back prices for the company's anniversary. Sounded like a lot of round about BS- we should have just walked out, but we didn't.
The real kicker was after the presentation was over, they called us into a room and this old Eastern European couple continued to push the vacation club offering the whole program for $2,000 (normally it's $11,900). They were even going to pick up the taxes and waive a few other fees. We still tried to politely decline, but they kept prying for more personal info like credit score and income, and were very pushy. It wasn't until my husband got pissed that they finally gave us our "generic voucher" to mail in for the 2 free round trip airline tickets, and 2 night 3 day hotel. I'm thinking they paired us with these people since my husband is Hispanic (and doesn't even speak Spanish), and the woman kept going on about how she was a school teacher and language interpreter.
Unfortunately, we did not read these posts before going through this ordeal. I might as well change my phone # since it sounds like I'm going to be receiving a lot of unwanted calls :(

I can't believe I almost fell for this. Received a call from Noel at Allegiant Tours 630-537-0903 saying I won a raffle at MayFest for 2 airplane tickets and a 3 night hotel stay. She said everything mentioned here and even gave code CPI. I specifically asked her if she was trying to sell time shares or anything else and she said no, it was just a presentation then meeting with an agent. I'm so glad I saw this before they wasted anymore of my time.

i just signed up for the free tickets to the bridal show and i got a call from Brittney at (630)537-0921, she called last week and said i was a finalist, in a pool of ten to win airfare and hotel vouchers or a cruise and "wasn't i excited!" then she calls me back this week and says yay you won!! she never asked my gross income, but did ask if my fiance and i live together and if our IDs both said we lived at the same address..odd. she also said "ill never ask to see your credit card", they obviously learned this is a failed tactic. I know better when something smells fishy, not to eat it. But I humored the girl out of sheer boredom. They are using the name Global Tours now and say they are a mom and pop company that has been in business for 20 years; but of course when googling them I find this site. This is the email confirmation they sent to me:

Thank you so much for posting this, because I just got the exact same call from a Bridal Show I attended in February and we are scheduled to go tonight, I still don't know the name of the travel company, but I definitely will not be attending after reading this... You're so right, who cares if we live together and how much money we make, that should have been a red flag right there! :)

I got a call from these people last night. Her name was Tabitha and she said she was from the Bridal show I attended a few weeks ago. She said I won 2 roundtrip plane tickets and 2 night hotel stay. I have a year to use it, blah blah blah. All I had to do was come down to their office and pick up the vouchers. I should have know it was a scam because she asked really odd questions. She asked if my fiancé and I lived together. (who cares) also, how much our combined income was?? I should have known at that moment I needed to hang up. But, we would go to the meeting and sit through a 90 minute presentation. I was actually going to go until I came across these posts. Thanks for the heads up!

I think I experienced something similar to everyone on here, but the company's MO seems to have changed.  Tonight I was contacted by a woman (sounded more like a girl) with Wheaton, IL phone number of (630) 517-0384.  She told me that she was from Total Focus Research and that I'd applied for a focus group on travel websites that had filled up, but that I was eligible for another group the company was hosting on domestic travel.

Now I'm feeling very foolish, but at the time she called I was pretty psyched.  I do a lot of focus groups (which means I apply for a lot more of them, and most of the applications tend to look kind of sketchy).  I remembered filing out a survey on online airline ticket booking so I went along with "Whitney" and verified my information (she had a lot of it already so they must have been the one who posted the craigslist ad for participants).  I was told to come on Saturday, give the receptionist the code "CPI" and that I would be undergoing a 1.5 hour long interview and compensated 2 airline vouchers for my trouble.  Sounded too good to be true, so I'm glad I googled because clearly it is.  Total Focus Research doesn't appear to be a real company, more like an amalgamation of a few popular ones.  And since Whitney refused to give me the name of the client corporation they were hosting the group for, I couldn't find that either.  Disappointed I gave them my address, but also glad I didn't waste my time.

What a sexist scumbag.  Sounds like a former car salesman.  I had a car salesman give me the same "you're the man, does your wife run your life" crap, and another salesman ignored my wife and talked only to me even though she was in the room and we were looking for a car for her.

I called 1-866-240-5463 after receiving a legitimate looking check voucher with American Airlines in the header.  I was asked to make an appt for a presentation for a "local travel agency" who was using this as a marketing promotion.  Two free flights?  Right....  If it's too good to be true, well, it's too good to be true.

After I had pushed for information, the rep said that the "company" was called Featured Travel (not A B Vacations), but I am posting on here because he used the same address: 1919 S. Highlands Lombard, IL

I had searched Featured Travel and found nothing.  Only found this blog because of the matching address...

It's a SCAM.  Stay away!!

We went to the presentation last night and although I thought it was a scam, it seemed to be a very good deal. The red flags went up for me as well with the people who called me, they called 5 times in a row and they also called me the day of. However, IF the program actually works like they say it does, it will be a good investment. We were there really late last night so I didnt get a chance to go through all the materials. I plan to reserve a week or two for this year. I will keep you posted to my outcome.

Today I received the same phone call from global tour company. They told me that I filled an sweepstakes card and they got my name and home phone number from there. I NEVER have or will fill any sweepstakes. They called from PRIVATE NUMBER. I could barely understand what the guy was saying, then I got it that I will receive 2 totally free airline tickets. I told him that I decline his offer and I hang up. Few minutes later the same guy called again, so I gave the phone to my son. My son told him not to call again, that we are not interested. He too hang up the phone. And again few minutes later they called again. This time I took the call and I talk to some manager with very heavy accent. He was trying to make an appointment for me to go to Lombard. I nicely declined, but he started offering me $50.00 gift card. He just didn't want it to let me go. I had to tell him again that we are not interested. Then I hang up the phone. After I hang up I have "Google" it the GLOBAL TOURS and find all of this. I am just happy that I didn't cave in.

I received a call from the people at Global Group this afternoon and was told all the same things... No out of pocket expense, sit thru a presentation get a free prize. I had to bring my wife and ID to Lombard to Tuesday At 7:45. I asked for a website to verify this so they gave me yourconformationletter.com. The first guy was nice and very repetitive about no money and I was guaranteed to receive a prize for the online survey I filled out for Sony. He told me that I would get another call from his supervisor for the password needed to get in to the appointment. I hadn't looked at the website since I was at work and told him I'd be able to look at it by 5. He said he would call me back at 5. Well 4:59 my phone rang again. I had my wife come look at the website while I was on the phone with the "supervisor" she said it's a scam I'm not going. I told the guy this and after a couple of times of asking my wife "Why not go get at least a free TV" And being told "We won't get anything"  I told the guy she won't come so thanks for your time. That's when he told me......

I thought I was talking to a man. I don't think I've talked to a man at all, I think you should change your name and become a girl, women are supposed to be under the man, you should have your wife become the man since she makes the decisions, and that i should give her a big dick too.....

I hung up the phone before I let my kids here all the very very bad things that were going to come out of my mouth since I don't teach them to hate anyone and they couldn't hear the call. But I would like to share his phone number (630-439-7095) like I did with all my friends on Facebook. I'm looking for information on this groups home company so I can figure out away to stop them from doing stuff like this to other people!!!!

Did you ever get the airline tickets?  I am scheduled to attend a presentation by Asian Global Tours, Lombard, IL., tonight.  I am not really interested in joining a travel club, but a couple of free tickets would have been nice.  They talked about the tickets very briefly and gave no details except to say they would be free but I would have to pay the "taxes."  We went last week, but showed up 10 minutes late and were told we would have to reschedule.  She was pretty aggressive and kept asking me why I was late, as though I was her employee.  At this point, I think I will just forget the deal.  Nothing is free, and I suspect this will be a grueling two hours of heavy sales pitching.  If you or anyone you know went to one of these and got free tickets, and are happy with the situation, please advise.  I think it's a scam.

Event Reminder
The first caller ID shows number 0000. When they called me again, it shows 1-503-457-1034 Asi Pacific ? Sometimes it shows the 1877-202-8686 or unknown number ????

I had similar call from AB Vacation or Global Tours and spoke to a guy who was nice the first few minutes, then forced me to choose a meeting date that I'm not available to attend 90 minutes presentation. What a stupid idiot ... they thought I would reschedule my other appointments for their business just because they offer 2 FREE tickets to fly anywhere ........

Finally they confirm an appointment that I have free evening. After that AB Vacation or Global Tours or Tours by Global had called me every single day to remind me that I have to be on time for the meeting date. The last call was about one hour before my appointment.... telling me they are waiting for me to gave away the ticket.

It really smells fishy that a company called me out of the blue and so desperate to give me FREE TICKET ? I have been suspicious of somekind of TimeShare from the beginning but I went there anyway. I purposely arrived a bit late with intention not to waste my 90 minutes for the stupid presentation. Of course they won't let me join the presentation for being late.

So, while I was there, I asked the girl at the front desk if it is Time Share sort of business.
She said no it is not time share. It is a Travel Club that required membership.

I asked how much is the membership fee ?
She said I have to attend the presentation and all information will be provided to me.

I asked what kind of travel club and the website address to see some info ?
She said that the website is "STRICTLY for MEMBERS ONLY" and will be given during the presentation
LOL HA HA HA HA

Is that website so precious that NON member can not buy the product ?
She was trying to explain some sort of stupid details ..........
I just said.... yeah.... WHATEVER !!! Take my name and phone number OFF your list. I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

If someone unknown called you and offer FREE stuff, please please please... DO NOT FALL to accept the offer ! I'm hoping someday a police or investigator could have been invited and that would be the end of their scam.

I wish I was there when you and your husband were.  I was about to lose it too when I went.  Totally lied to us over the phone and told us we were 1 of 9 folks to win a chance at a car, etc. etc.  When I repeatedly asked if anyone was going to try and sell us something I was told "no" over and over.  Then of course our free airline tickets (which is all anyone got) out of the 100 or so people there at the same time, there are charges in excess of $100 per ticket.  I want to teach these people a lesson, I just don't have the time to do it.  On top of that - I had to pay a babysitter to go and listen to their b***s***.  When you do the math on their "Totally Awesome" vacation club, it is all lies.

I feel like posting a sign in front of their office building forwarning people before they enter that it is a big SCAM!!!!

I've received two calls from this "company"  A B Vacations, starting on Thursday and Friday (6/14 & 6/15). I repeatedly told the caller I was NOT interested and NOT to call me again. Since Saturday 6/16, I've received TWO text messages from this "company". I've responded "STOP" to both text messages. As it has not yet stopped and I NEVER initiated contact with the "company", I will be reporting them to the FCC for violating my verbal and written instructions to STOP contacting me via my cell phone.
I've used quotes around the words "company" because this is simply a scam. No reputable company would continually solicit and harass someone like this.
