They keep calling but never leave a message.  I never had direct tv.  I beleive the FBI should take care of these type of people.

How do we wipe these a-holes off the face of the earth once and for all? Am tired of constantly requesting that they don't waste OUR paper and ink with their crap.

This company keeps calling to collect a debt for someone whom I do not know. This has happened several times. I have called and they have verified that my cell number is associated with a different person's name. They offered to put a "do not call" on the number but would not verify that my number has been deleted from their system of debt collection. They would not let me talk to a supervisor; it was, though, clear that the employee was used to such calls of complaint.

Could be you have the phone number of a person they are looking for.  I get them on my new Cell phone number and they are looking for someone I never heard of.  Use your call blocking feature to stop their calls

I received a phone call today..they hung up for no reason on first call. I called them back as I didn't recognize number and found out Verizon Wireless wants money I don't owe them.

Looking for J D Harris. I just got this number a month ago.

I called Direct TV directly to clarify if this was a debt that they were trying to collect. I tried setting up servies through them awhile ago but because of the direction my apartment faced they weren't able to set up services which meant I didn't have to pay for any services. Direct TV said I did not have an open account and did not owe anything. The is a scammer, do not give them any personal information!!

"We have an important message from RPM. This is the debt collectors. Please call 866-2274," and then it cuts off as he's saying something else. After looking around and finding that this is a debt collector for DirecTV, I'm more than a little confused, considering I only just turned 18 and have never had any sort of bill with any type of cable company. Not to mention not even anybody in my family has ever used DirecTV, and we've been with Dish for the past 6 or 7 years. Hoping this is some kind of misunderstanding or something that'll just blow over, but looking at some of these other comments, I'm guessing that's unlikely.

I have been reporting these companies however I was told that they are allowed to call as many times as they want either way you look at it it is still harrassment.

they called this time using a different number.

they call 5-7 times a day or night. i would them to stop. they don't talk i just get a click when i answer.

This number calls me constantly and hang before I can even answer.  They call two to three, sometimes 4 times a day and never leave a message.  I do not owe anyone money.  It is annoying to say the least.  I think it may be Verizon and I have a Verizon phone so why don't check the records to find out I am not the person they are looking for.

This number has called my house and they are calling for someone that DONT EVEN LIVE HERE!! I wont it to stop because i do not owe directTV.!!!!!!!!

Ever since I got my new phone they've been calling all the time!  I switched numbers on my phone and they are still calling!!

I have been with Comcast since June 2000, and prior to

During the same time period, I have also received a total 119
calls from Receivables Performance Management (RPM)
using telephone number 310-401-1240 (Google search).

Calls to my cellphone "block list" are immediately
"answered" and "disconnected" WITHOUT my cellphone
ringing, beeping, buzzing or vibrating.

The only time I know when RPM has called is when I
look at my block list once or twice per month.

Not ONE time since February have I ever received any
demand notices or letters in the mail.

Therefore, unknown balance + unknown account number
+ NO written demand for payment equals NO case in
Small Claims Court or Superior Court.

The ABSOLUTE burden of proof lies with the accused...

They call daily though I do not owe them anything, and now they also email with some undefined message.  DirecTV's billing is very dishonest, and so is their debt collector.

Welcome to the crowd, after about a month of getting call from these annoying people I finally decided to settle with them, first of all it was for some equipment that they refused to send a return label and box to for the equipment but was quick to charge me or should I say my daughter for it but was in my name and so on but the point is they are stupid, I finally made arrangement with them to settle this account for them to stop calling me everyday(7 days a week) and guess what, they still call and harrasses me about a bill, a bill I am
making payments for, what or who does this, Help, they are driving me craz!!!!

I get several 8xx numbers calling me, including this one.  I don't owe any money to anyone.  To solve this problem I bought a call blocker machine from Digitone.  Easy to program and you can block 80 numbers or area codes.  An area code blocks all numbers within that area code and only counts as one number.  They cannot leave a message, the machine just hangs up on them.
Today, I am starting my campaign to call all of these harassing callers.  I'm starting with (888) 838-5127.
I started calling early this morning and left message after message using redial.  Around 8am they turned off the answering system, now I just speed dial the number and it ties up the line with a busy signal.  I told them if they call back, I will do this everyday.

I called the number back to see who it was.  I said, "Why do you keep calling this number and then hanging up?"  He said, "It's a machine, mam.  It's not a person."

This is a collection agency.  They work for a number of different companies.  Verizon, Direct TV, Teco Gas..etc.

They are horrible and call constantly. Late at night, weekends, many times a day.

Talking to them does not help.  they are completely rude to deal with. I am currently in dispute with Teco gas over the bill they sent to collections with them -- even though I am in a dispute with Teco directly over the charges and have explained this to them, they still continue to call and keep telling me to just pay the bill then go after Teco in small claims if it ends up I paid money that is not owed to Teco and to "stop wasting their companies time."

Don't know who this is.  Doesn't leave message - shows up as missed call.

Talked w/person and stated would try to get paid by the 20th;the date she said would be acceptable; Since then, getting calls at least 3 times daily;representative was very rude; Hung up after I told them my number is on do not call list; I will bill them for calling my private cell phone number minutes that are not free; they have account logs and they know the last times contacted w/details!!! They are running up my minutes minus the amount they will get paid.

I've never had Direct TV. So I don't have a clue to why they are calling me, but they need to STOP!

This number calls my phone numerous times a day, everday, including Sunday.  Very annoying and they do not leave a message.

I've been getting calls from this number frequently.  They let it ring twice and hang up.  Tonight I called the number back, I got transferred to a representative and they were looking for someone else.  I was getting borderline harassment calls from Dish Network looking for someone else (asked them twice to remove my number), so I'm wondering if this company RPM is associated with that, especially since someone else said they are a collection agency for Direct TV.

This number has been calling me for a week now several times a day, if i do pick up they either hangup after i say hello or ask for a women named, i think Rita, (Which is not me, as i am a Man) and i tell them they must have the wrong number. But they keep calling, as much as five times in one day.

I just got this new phone number like 5 days ago and only my mom and husband have the phone number.  I haven't even called anyone or practically even used it.  I have not given it out and should not be traceable to me at all.  I don't understand why they are calling, this is why I didn't have a phone for the past year, don't want to get random phone calls for bull.
