I live in Oregon and I got the same letter with the same offer number.  Was thinking about calling it, but if you got the same letter too, no way!

Just received the same letter in the mail, offer number 8967. I called the number (1-888-844-1430) and a lady answered and asked 'How can I help you'. I decided to hang up and will run this letter through my shredder.

I got this letter as well although mine came with with offer number "8930". I was pretty sure it was a scam so I Googled it and found this site. Sure enough my instincts were right. I thought the footnote of "This promotion is not sponsored by or affiliated with Marriott Resorts and Hotels, Shell or Cheveron, but they are major suppliers" was a dead give away.

Well, I see that if you sit for a 90 minute presentation, you can get the two nights/flights for two. But what's so bad about that, if one wants to do it? Some info isn't given like where will you go, or do you get to choose, but is there anything hidden? I don't see that anyone's really called to see what's up.

I called and they wanted to set up an appointment at the Valley River Inn for this 90 minute talk.  I asked if it was like a timeshare...they said no...it was a travel club that was trying to start up and promoting it by offering these trips.  She said at the end of the 90 minutes...you'd be asked to show a credit card to validate who you are...but you could cover up the numbers.  We did something similiar down in Florida for timeshares and though we declined...we received the goods promised.  I'm always leery. Did everyone get the gas voucher?  The gal said that we were very fortunate because they only sent a few of those out!

We got a very similar offer from Paradise Today and attended thier prsentation.  They did not want to follow thorugh on the free trip.  They said was just a gift from others that they were passing throung to us and they would assume no responsibilty for the free trip.

This time we recived thsi offer from Custom Trips via a post card and the wording of the offer is almost identical.  I suspect that there is some sort of connections between the two companies.

Well the new number is 888-827-3175 and the offer number is 8957 the post mark is from Florida and on the inside it says Pasco, Wa PO Box J 99302 It has US AIrways , Chevron and shell all over the place. I to got this just before my birthday. And it makes all the same promises Free airline tickets, free hotel stay, free gas. Your on the hook for the taxes, gee wonder why you would pay them taxes when the airlines charge tax to your destination, do they have esp and know where you are going. I have been through these before, and I called just for the heck of it. I was told that they only had two seats left and I needed to sign up now for a 90 minute presentation. This would be at the Embassy Suite hotel. The requirements where two ID's one had to be a credit card, and a drivers license plus you have to make 60,000 annual income. I have never heard of these guys but from what I am reading they get around a lot.
I did go to something similar in the 90's and got everything they promised and no hassel, but this I am not going to.
Like they say buyer beware.....
