Just received the letter. This time, no fish on logo, but instead a sailing sloop. No website, no mailing address. I will not be calling either.
Francine 2012-10-18 22:29:15 Unknown
Got the same letter today. Same Mark Sims, different phone number. 877-248-1520. My response date is 10/31/12. Airfare voucher is now up to $1499. And then they say "If you choose to decline this award, please contact us so we may issue the ticket voucher to the alternate." Right, I'm not going to call to get free airfare but I WILL call to tell you I don't want it. He's obviously a very bright man!!
ian Marshall 2012-10-04 19:55:36 Unknown
He must have started up again, ( October 2012) got a letter stating that they had tried to contact me and this was my last chance to collect a $1499 airfare any where in continental US.
The company is calling itself "Tradewinds on the Bay" and signed by the same Mark Sims.
Obviously a scam that i will not respond to/

Just got the same letter with the same confirmation number. Must be a scam!!!!!!!!
2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
Ditto here with the letter! I also went to the puter to check it out. A few years back we recieved similar letter and it was all about timeshares. We went, bored to death and eventually said we weren't interested and they showed us the door, the backdoor....lol

I just received the same letter with the same confirmation #. Must be a scam.
pzi 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
Same lame why don't they get pinched!!
Same same 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
Its not a bill collecter. I have excellent credit and owe no one. This is NOT worth it. We did one for Northern Maine and did get plane tickets, BUT you have to send $50 for each person for taxes, etc. You have to tell them when you want to go, within a 30 day time frame. There were other hoops to jump through. We sent in the money, but after them asking for additional things, they offered to send us our money back, so they really don't want to give you the tickets. We were lucky, we did get our money back. They people that do these time share spiels get mean and nasty when you don't buy. NOT worth it!!!

Thanks for posting, I got the same letter with the same confirmation # SCAM
Ken 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
Same everything...no call made to my home, and no postage cancellation. Not a scam, legit website, just poor marketing. I'm more curious about the lack of postage cancellation as I saw the mailman drop it off with the rest of my mail.....

Got the same letter but with a reply date of May 25th. My wife and I looked at the letter and she suggested a Phishing Scheme. It made sense given the name of the company FINn and GILLiam We had a laugh over that one.
Mark Courtenay 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
Yep, I got the same letter, confirmation number, signatory and all. Do they actually think people are stupid enough not to check this out? And to Scott, I got this letter and I have no bills, am debt free, and aren't behind on any utilities. Any other harebrained ideas genius?
Rhonda Hutchins 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
I got a letter from this place calling themselves Finn & Gilliam with the same contact number and same 1400.00 air tickets offer. They must be changing tactics. No return address. Signed Mark Sims, VP, Travel Awards Division.
Danielle 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
I recieved this letter and I am not deliquent...so I would have to assume that your probably jumping to conclusions. Try calling the number and find out for yourself.
Sonja Jordon 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown

Kat 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
I got the same letter just now. I live in Thomaston right next to Rockland so this make sense. They really sould have made this a little more legitimate though if they want to bring people in.
And no, it has nothing to do with bill collection. I have nobody trying to collect from me at all. As for them trying to contact me, that's just a lie. I havn't gotten a call from this number ever.

I got an letter with no return address.
Tammy 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
I received the very same letter today. Same confirm number too. I thought it interesting that there was no return address on either the envelope or the letterhead. Also, I have to wonder if the letter was placed directly into my mailbox without going through the USP since there is no postage cancellation.

Free airfare to see my father in law in FL is worth 90 minutes of someone trying to cram a timeshare down my throat. I'll let you all know how it goes!
Helen M 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
same letter and signed by Mark Sims
Cheryl 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
I AM ALSO IN MAINE AND JUST RECIEVED THE SAME LETTER WITH THE SAME CINFIRMATION NUMBER, GLAD I CAME RIGHT TO THE COMPUTER TO CHECK IT OUT !!!!!
Joe 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
Scottfree ARE YOU BRAINDEAD? It is a telemarketer not a bill collector. Way to make an assumption.
circle 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
the company that is persuing you is a company that is marketing condominiums in rockland maine. i called the number and this is no scam really. in fact, it is true that if you go down and attend the 90 minute seminar in rockland, you really do get the airline tickets. whether you buy or not the company plays the odds that you will buy a week at the timeshares. interestingly enough, i live remotely in this area and actually worked on the first round of units a couple years ago as a sub contractor. so, the tour is real and so are the tickets. if you can endure the pressure for a couple hours, go for it.
Jude 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
Of course it's a scam!! We all have the confirmation code 8940. Anyone who believes they win $1400 in air travel from a company with no return address deserves to get scammed. This type of mail is why stores sell shredders.
scottfree 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
Are you people all BRAINDEAD ?
This is a incredibly inept (maybe not ...) bill collection scheme.
These people contacted you by mail because you are delinquent and irresponsible with your finances. (You havent paid a bill, credit card, loan, bank, etc. etc. and you are hiding from them!) They have tried to contact you and you are hiding behind your answering machine, caller ID or whatever. How better to FINALLY get the creditor on the phone than to tell them they've WON SOMETHING? DUH !
