Just received this morning in my e-mail responding to my Craigs list ad.  Called it, sounded legit....remained listening to music, did not get a live person on the other end.  Decided to check out on the web and thanks for everyones advice!  Just another guy out there looking for work!

I called and it sounded like a legitimate opportunity, then they wanted your info to pay for a background check ($99) when I said that I wouldn't be able to do that right now she abrubtly said thank you for your time and good luke getting through (calling back) ????

they called me and ask for 99.00 dont do it

i got taking but i will give then a real "HELL" i found that Sara Kimberly White is a WANTED CRIMINAL she was charge in 1999 with PC 484(G) FRAUD USE OF CREDIT, PC484E(D) GRAND THEFT OF ACCESS CARD 4 OR MORE, AND PC5027(A) (5) OBTAIN TELEPHONE/ TELEGRAPH SERVICE BY FRAUD THERE A FUGITIVE WARRANT FOR HER ARREST FOR $500.000 IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY SHERIFF CASE NUMBER FMB03682 DEFENDANT 657169 WHITE, SARA KIMBERLY SHE NEVER SHOW UP IN COURT, I WILL TRACK HER DOWN, SHE PLAY WITH THE WRONG PERSON.

i got rip off by this company, i did check Sara white and Joel Becker they have been arrested for fraud, and Sara Kimberly White is been wanted for fraud, u can check her on San Bernardino County Superior Court Open Access check on criminal and u find her, the Santa Monica address is a fake and the Wilshire blvd is another fake,

I gave contractormanagementsupport.com money on Monday 10/18  Back ground check was suppose to clear yesterday 10/20 and start receiving work orders today 10/21. I spoke to 3 different people. Karen, Roxy ad Jackie. I believe i just lost $99. I should have checked this company out first. There also affiliated with contractor411.com.

I also received a auto generated email from Sara white. This it what is says:

I got an email responding to my add on craigslist it seemed to good to be true so i did some research and found this blog then i did further research and tracked it down too mr.numbers.com they are collecting names an # for telemarketing research figured you guys would like to know happy hunting guys

Here's how it went for me.  Because of the Business Law classes that I am taking, I am informed about actions that can be taken against Cyber Criminals.

I must inform you that I have to report you as a spammer because you have just sent me the same exact e-mail from a different e-mail address, and when I respond, it auto-feeds another e-mail address into the ?To?? box.  I have ran a cyber search on the number which is a ?scam? number for a ?$99 contractor scam?.  I feel I must also inform you of the Cyber Law in Ohio, United Stated.  With a malicious intent to harm people, including taking money unrightfully you can be prosecuted in the court of common pleas as a civil offense, which is located in Cincinnati, OH.  If you are a non-American citizen living outside the US, and you are trying to harm or unrightfully take money from US citizens, you can be prosecuted as a Cyber Terrorist and it will be a the Supreme Court Level. Because you are sending e-mails to me, knowing that I am located in ?Columbus, Ohio? from your response to my only ad on Craigslist, even if you live outside of the United States, you are subject to Cyber Law governed by this state.  IP addresses are easy enough to track, and there is a list of angry contractors that want to pursue justice for the exact same message I have received.  Pain and Suffering for having a psychological issue caused by an e-mail that led to premeditated petty larceny is worth $2.5 million to most people.  Please do not contact me again, or I will hire a detective and sue you for harassment, cyber stalking, intentional cyber terrorism, and pain and suffering.  Plus, if I get fired from work because this is a work e-mail address and the post was for work, I will sue you for that.  It looks like a class action lawsuit because of the others that have bought into your scam.  Use your resourcefulness to earn money honestly, but I better not hear from you again.

got an email from this number in response to our ad posted on craigslist - they are again asking for $100 guess they want the extra penny now and saying they have at least 6 months worth of bank contracts and get new contracts every two weeks.

Watch out for this number too - it is apparently the direct line to having your money taken for no reason: 866.796.1431.

Give us $99.99 and you can have lots of work between $200.00 to $600.00 for 2.5 hours of working doing Forclosed homes ... Yeah, okay we were born yesterday. Do a check on the phone number, do a web search and lo and behold no such company. So pay them $99.99 and get screwed ... STAY AWAY FROM THEM PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're looking for work to tie you over try www.freelancer.com . It's a great site that matches employers to freelancers. Different jobs from legal to data entry. No cost. The site charges only if you bid on something and it's accepted. Then it's only a small percentage. I've been a client for several months and get a number of projects from them. No bad checks because it's all done electronically. And I always ask for 50% upfront before starting any gig. For those looking for something to help pay the bills it's worth it. Saved my butt a number of times and I work from home.

Just adding my two cents here also.  Just got someone sending our company their junk also to clutter our inbox.  Rule #1, if it sounds too good to be true, don't waste your money.  Anyone looking for people to work for them will not charge a cent.  There are plenty of "free agencies" willing to represent you to real employers - those are called "head-hunters", under the phonebook - emploment agencies.  There's also another way to look for work and that would be through your local government database.

For those of us that are self employed, we could all use a break.  Make sure to report each of these jerks, it will help save others some time and money.
