If you're in Canada and being called by any collections company, regardless of your actual situation, you can fill in and print and then mail this form
http://www.consumerprotectionbc.ca/images/con ... only%202013.pdf provided by Consumer Protection BC to legally stop them from calling you. I did that with one agency then this one started calling. So I'm about to fax one of these forms in to them too.

Marianne is a Moron and so is her Mother 2014-02-12 18:41:04 Unknown
Hey Marianne, you and your mother got SCAMMED!!!! She didn't have any outstanding bill with this company at all but both of your are so stupid you paid them money. You must feel like a fool. Your poor mother not only got scammed out of money that she STILL owes to her credit card company. Tell your mother to pay her bills on time and maybe she won't get scammed like this. Shame she has a fool for a daughter too. I feel bad for her.

I keep on getting this number 1-888-850-1518 calling my house looking for some one that does not live here and never has. When he asked me my phone number he told me I did not know my own F-ing number when I asked for his supervisor he just said the same and hung up on me I would like to report this person. I also would like to find out who it is as if it keeps on call my house I will find a way to charge them for harassment. I will give people a word of advise talk to your telephone company and they will tell you how to block them for good that will be my next step. Done with rude people that do not have a single brain cell in there heads.

I keep getting calls and they are getting annoying.....they don t even explain why they want to a person who supposedly has my phone number!!!
Ontario 2013-11-07 15:05:02 Debt Collector
I get these calls on my cell every freakin day!. I don't answer them but called the # back from my land line phone because I was getting tired of it. Its a collection agency that keeps calling, they started using different phone #'s and they're still asking for someone that I don't know. When I've asked that they remove my # from their calling list...the person they are looking for doesn't live here...the woman on the other end gets ignorant and rude. I usually return the favour and tell them I'm reporting them to the RCMP. Within a week the calls start coming again from a different #. It's easy enough to ignore the calls, but its a real pain to have to put up with this crap over and over!
Jane 2013-10-29 20:18:05 Unknown
This number started calling over the last week or so and won't even leave a message for me, and the phone only rings 4 times, not even giving me time to go answer the phone. If there is legitimate business with me, I have received no written notice before this.
Ryan 2013-10-10 19:44:46 Unknown
LMAO!
I did that too! They really do seriously hate it, then I reported the a**holes to the Business Bureau.
The company calling me had so many complaints against them that they opened an investigation on them.
Never received a call again.
P.S. in Ontario, they're only allowed to call you once they've sent you a formal letter informing you of your debt. Then they're only allowed to call once a week at a time specified by YOU.
They're also NOT ALLOWED to be harrassing, threatening or intimidating in any way. Don't let them intimidate you, they purchased the debt off the original company and are trying to make their money back.
F*** these A**holes

Okay, now I feel like a HUGE a**. Please ignore the previous comments I made. Those comments were pertaining to a company called ICA - International Credit Auditors. Funny though that I was also approached by ICE, and I based on what I've read here, I am not hiring them. Again - sorry!
Micky 2013-09-20 17:46:46 Debt Collector
Hello people, I work for a company that was approached by ICE to offer their services to us. Despite the fact that I politely told them more than once that I would get back to them if and when I'm interested and to not call me again, they still did. First mark against them. Also, I cannot think of one sentence that I was allowed to finish. Not a good selling tactic on their part - second mark against them. This company is in fact not an actual collection agency. What they do is once your AR department has exhausted all efforts to collect a debt, ICE takes over and makes the phone calls, sends letter, etc. in the hopes that the debtor will pay because they believe that they are being contact by a collection agency. What ICE is actually doing is PRE-collections. If they don't collect within a certain amount of time, then the creditor has the option to send the debtor to actual collections. By this time (because we sent the debt to ICE instead of a collection agency) the debt has now lost a substantial amount of its original value and the age of it makes it more difficult to collect. If you hire ICE, you have the choice to either pay a flat monthly fee to send your overdue accounts to them and the fee doesn't change whether or not they collect, or you can pay a small fee for each account but they will only accept a minimum of 6 accounts at the same time. As for threatening you with court, they have absolutely no authority to do such a thing without the consent of the creditor. Unfortunately, because they are not an actual collection agency, they are not bound by the laws that govern bona fide collection agencies which leaves them with the opportunity to harass you. Having said that, harassment is harassment regardless of where it's coming from. I was mulling over whether or not to do business with them as they are cheaper than a collection agency but after reading all these comments, I've made up my mind. Regardless of any debt owed to us, I am not interested in our customers being treated in such a way. Bottom line ICE IS NOT A COLLECTION AGENCY. You have nothing to fear.

I know for a fact that this company is stupid. They called my house which I just got a phone hooked up and asked for some completely different person. I can't even tell them to stop calling cuz that person doesn't live here. It's just a stupid automated message. Maybe they should keep on top of their accounts! So annoying.
scarem 2013-08-21 18:04:31 Unknown
This is a debt collector hired by a company that obviously wants their money. Just called the number as it has called our office numerous times and left messages for an ex employee. They were happy to remove the number and update their files.

Just a message stating " if I wanted to cancel the booking with booking.com I'd have to ring the the quoted number". Do these scammers really think some peolpe were born yesterday ?

Hey Mike
I want to hear how you made out. would love to know how many scum of the earth's are packed in there. It's troubling when society globally goes into the crapper, you cant keep up and the companies that plead for your business and begged you to take their goods on credit, then after not keeping up for 3 months they send the debt to unprofessional organizations such as International Credit Experts, to totally harass and as stated above can cause serious damage to individuals and families both financially and mentally. Yes something should be done, any suggestions?? other than Marianne P's...
My story...they are the company who has "been hired to collect"...b***s***. this is the 3rd company and they just bought the debt for cents on the dollar (so I have read...lot's of good info out there-google).
They call work, home and cell at least once per day if not twice. So that's 5 calls per day minimum and they legally can call 3 times per week if we consent to the call.
A blatant disregard for the laws. They even called my neighbor...wow what do***e bags, ya I said it...
As of tomorrow. Sending a registered letter to them "suggesting to go to court" and f***-off. Don't mind court if it comes to that...I heard the court thing 3 times now from each company Even if you pay them they cannot take you off any credit report like Equifax, they don't have any authority...don't believe what they say. If you have gone to collections you will have this on your record for 6 years regardless of payment. Even if you settle they will sell the unpaid balance to other scumbags and start the whole process over. Do not talk with them. Hang up or don't answer. Send the letter and complaint to Consumer Affairs
Also, i'm calling the POLICE because they call my wife's work personally once per day and also leaving a pre-recorded message. I'm also backing that up with a formal complaint to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs
1-800-889-9768. they will send a complaint form and I will fill it out. I suggest all that look at this site do the same, it cant hurt. the more complaints the quicker they get arrested for breaking the Collection Agencies Act Laws.
would love to read more experiences...
Cheers!
