what did you find
lynne 2011-06-06 21:06:03 Unknown
I recieved this call a few days ago, and returned the call today. the lady stated her name was Cristine and worked for RSG finance dept. This seemed a little weird since I have relinquished all my rights and signed my timeshare back to the company I bought it from. I have to admit it seemed like a really good deal until I sterted to do a little research on the web.

I fell for this scam, is there any way I can contact anyone to report them? Many of the numbers they gave me are now disconnected. Hopefully Karma comes their way.

Someone named Daman called & said he had someone here that has researched & wanted to buy my timeshare. He gave me a customer service number 1-888-310-6279 which a Shane Rogers called me back with the number 1-888-407-2615. I paid a Title Research Fee of $2600 for 2 timeshare weeks that I was Supposed to sell. He also gave me a verification number. After the 90 days there is just a busy signal. I tried all 3 numbers & cannot get through.

I see we're not the only ones to be scammed. Just took us a bit longer to realize it. I also had a "cold call" regarding our timeshare and was told they had a buyer, was assured the close by early February
I left a phone message for you today. Please call me 863-634-7016. Your help is very much appreciated.
Maybe we can stop them before anyone else is taken for thier hard-earned money.

We we're not so lucky as to have found this site first. Do you think we still can dispute sinc it was December when we gave our credit card?

I paid these people $2000.00 visa after getting clarification from a no doubt scam company....do not buy into this, there must be some way that we that have bought into this can get our money back?? anyone have any words of wisdom, except "don't be so stupid next time???""
shannon 2011-02-26 05:39:22 Unknown
I just read your email and am from canada and paid this company $2000.00 from my visa in october! they said as recent as 30 days ago that the estople certificate has been received and the deal is basically finished and i would be hearing from them.....i phoned Kyla Andrews(no doubt a scam) and phoned her number and it is no longer in service, i sent an email to which i got a reply last month that they have forwarded to customer service. Today i called 5 times and asked to be called back, enquiring as the status of my timeshare sale, they will not answer or return phone calls. What is the address that i call or sent info with regards to registering a complaint? is there anyway i can get my money back from this company or the visa company?
i would appreciate any information you can give me

Lucy Cordova 2011-01-31 17:32:57 Unknown
I too was contacted by Resort Sales Group. I was told that they had a buyer for my property. I paid them a fee of $2250.00. I talked to a girlby the name of Elizabeth Stone at 1-888-865-3255. She then directed me to the corporate office where I talked to a guy by the name of Eric Turner. That number is 1-888-310-6279. I called again and I got a different man by the name of Shane Rodgers. His number is 1-888-406-5677. I have been calling everyday for over a week, and no one has returned my call. I have left messages and still nothing. I called my credit card company and stopped payment no the fee. I will call the State Attorney General and I am going to file charges against them.

Please can you give me the information for the police report and who to contact, I'm unfortunately a victim of this company. I will contact my credit card company to let them know about the fraud but I also want to press charges against this company. I will appreciate your help. You could call me at 321-759-4298.
Thank you,
Elvira Maldonado

Try your credit card company and tell them the company was busted for fraud. They will probably cancel your credit card and give you another one. They can then open up an investigation and give you a credit while they investigate.
You can also send Detective Stevens an email, he is looking thru all of their records now.
Not sure, though, if/how you would get you money back. credit card is probably the best.

Follow up with your c/c company. I was able to report it as fraudulent and they will contest and possibly reimburse, luckily RSG refund before it got that far. Don't give up. Not sure where you are from but in Canada, c/c company most likely will support you as long as you have all of the documentation that you followed through. I wish you luck! Keep posted. M

Received a phone call from Elizabeth Stone for Resort Sales Group and caught up with the sales pitch gave them my c/c number - BIG MISTAKE! They had already taken the amount of $2,250. Cdn which is $2,340. US while I'm still on the line before I signed any agreement. When I received the contract, I had 7 days to cancel which I did within 24 hours via fax and email at least 6 times of each being no one would return calls. When they did, according to them it was too late but it was still within the 7 days. With numerous follow emails, faxes, phone calls and having to change my c/c I finally received my refund today but it was without a struggle. Looking back - never again TRUST NO ONE when it comes to selling you timeshare unless it is with cash or certified cheque. I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO AVOID THIS COMPANY AND WHAT THEY REPRESENT - I was lucky according to my c/c company but they currently have many disputes with selling timeshare claims.

On January 13, 2011, the Orlando Police Department executed a State search warrant on a business in Orlando, Florida. The timeshare telemarketing scam went by several business names, one of which was RESORT SALES GROUP, as well as TIMESHARE SPECIALISTS INC. Four subjects were arrested, while 27 were detained and interviewed.ALL are pending additional charges to include racketeering, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Documents and computers were seized, as well as lead sheets and contracts. At this time, we do not know if the business in SC is involved in the scam, or a victim also. The group commonly "piggy backed" on legitimate vacation websites. The OPD Financial Crimes Unit is continuing the investigation. BTW, telemarketers for the group commonly posted positive comments on this BBS to make the company appear legitimate...it is not. They do nothing with your money but spend it on themselves. If you have been a victim of this group, please call me, Detective Michael Stevens, at 407-246-2971, or my partner, Detective Hilary Bledsoe at 407-246-2470. For those of you who called me from all over the US and Canada...THANK YOU, we could not have shut these guys down without your help!

Been contacted and also spoke w/Emily. I will not pull the trigger and pay 1,850.
Who would pay 21,500 for my timeshare when I can't give it away?
