They called me today and the number they called from is 908 445 2832

I received a call about a week ago and now I changed my mind and would like to cancel my subscription

I got a call yesterday and for some reason they knew i had a visa card and that it started with a certain number. Thinking it was part of my amazon purchase, I verified the card number and then got debited for $68.28

omg i gave my social security, im freaking out bcus i canelled my card and everything but i gave them my social :(

so basically im screwed. i got a call from them last night, the poeple talk too fast and i for some stupid reason agreed to it...i gave them my card stuff and i really can remember if i gave my ss# i dont really know why i would but anyways...how do i go about cancelling this i called no one answer i called my bank they cant do anything until i cancel with the vender and get the cancelation number...im super pissed off i have a one year old and go to a $30,000 college program and support her dad cuz he for some reason refuses to get a jod...and i do all this on a job that pays 8.30 an hour aka do the math, i have no money left over. so please if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it.

I was called twice, missed the first one. I was told that I could pay $4.99/month for 60 months for 5 free magazines. I also got entered into a drawing for $100,000 that would be polled in like 8 months. I reluctantly agreed and was switched to a supervisor who proceeded to up the ante and make the offer 19 months of $69.00+ and get a bunch of useless stuff that I don't need. I tried several times to say that I don't want to pay for this, and that I would like to stop everything from here on out. I ended up calling my bank and had my card frozen. They attempted to pull out money, but had been denied because of lack of funds (which only saved me this time). I cannot believe that I fell for this. I only regret saying yes.

Hey, I did the same exact thing.  I was wondering if the gift card worked out for you.  They didn't find out another way to charge you, did they?

I don't need to dish dirt, but I can give some good info on how to avoid people like this.

Don't buy things from t.v. (ie: $19.99 products, etc.), they sell your info to people like this. Keep your banking info to yourself unless you're very familiar with the company that you're dealing with. Stick with well known companies unless you are prepared to lose whatever dollar amount they are quoting, as you will likely have no recourse. Also, don't enter those dumb contests (fill out a preprinted slip, drop in a business card, etc.) that most often ask you to fill out your name phone and address/email, because they end up in these guys hands and sold to similar companies and individuals. Also, never agree to buy ANYTHING over the phone and don't even ask the telemarketer to send something in writing. You have no proof of who you are talking to, they NEVER will say where they're actually calling from, and if you ask them to send something in writing, quite often they'll twist your words and act as if you agreed to the "offer" just by asking for something in writing.

Tell them to put you on their do not call list and hang up. If they call back under the same phone number or same company name, they're breaking the law and you must should really report all of the company names given to you and the phone numbers to the BBB and your Attorney General.

I just got called by them today and gave them my information! What should i do to stop them from scamming me! They told me that I won a $1000 visa gift card and then sold $68 worth of magazines and I didn't know until i put the number on google and then I checked my bank account and that 888-854-4706 number came up on my bank! Those ba**erds!

The recently took a payment out of my card. How can I stop this?

This is exactly what happened to me today.
First i gave them my account number but then changed my mind. they said ok and they will cancel everything but i still receive a $1 charge.
I called my bank account and they said that i need to wait to see if they are going to actually charge me
So what happened? Did they charge you after that $1?

i've gotten a call and i told them no and hung up on them and they still had my card number and everything. the number is 8888544706! watch out!

hi the same happened to me did yo try to lock your account after it happen or close it down and make a new one im 18 i know how you feel buddy. they ruined peoples lifes what was the person name the one who called me was named KELLY!

the magazine called said my name and i gave my info out without thinking the lady said her name was kelly she told me what was up so i was ok i hug up, i told my mother when she told me it was a scam i was mad so i locked my account the next day i got a text from my account saying they were trying too get some money whitch they couldn't they will never get the money i just want to get out of the subscription. they lied to us i wish there was a way to get out but theres only two ways [ try to lock your account or close it and my a new one] i feel your pain and this is some bullcrap Good Luck to all!

i cant believe these people like to steel money like this... i also got involved in this situation... i called to my bank and got a new card hope this is enough... although they took $35.00 from my account...

thats what i did.. i call my bank and told them that i have a problem with this company. my bank told me that they can block this company from taking my money but we dont know if they transfer my number to other company..anyways i change my card number..idk if thats enough...and the thing is that today i received a magazine from rollingstone.. im not going to pay anything i already told them to cancel my subscription and they said they cant which makes no sense...now i know that this is not a good company because im enrolled in another magazine and i can cancel my subscription at any time....

NO THANKS! HEARD THAT ALREADY...THESE PEOPLE ARE RIDICULOUS, AFTER I GAVE HER A PEICE OF HER OWN CAKE SHE FINALLY AGREED TO CANCEL IT, BUT IM SURE SHE WON'T EVEN CANCEL IT KNOWING HOW THESE PEOPLE ARE.

u don't seem to have any problem finding the cash to pay for the porn channel tho...!  don't beat down the magazine publishers. they need a slice of your pie too ya know.

Some  stupid guys got me too  for 68.28$.. it was early morning and I was tired .. unfortunately I agreed to 19 fucken payments of 68.28.. THAT ALMOST 1300 F***ing DOLLARS!!!.. the guy was talking so fast I couldn't get the company's number ..they called from a 000 number so I could't call them back ..  what I'm going to do is go to the my bank get the same card with a new number   they  me back .. and I Cancel that s**t .. why the hell did I stay on the line with this guy ... I think I got scammed .. someone help me what can I do
         any other Ideas people I need help .. I don't want these f***ers to mess up my credit

I was cooking dinner when they called saying I would get a free Dimond Watch and a 100.00 gas check for a price of 68.58 they told me to call and let them know when I have money on my card then I get up yoday and check my card and there's money missing they took money for my kids cloths and x-mas they tell me they will put the money back and lower my payment to 39.93 what kinda s**t is that

this company called my son whom is learning disabled, he told them no he did not have the money. they asked him for his CC#, but they would not charge his card. Well they took his last 69.00 dollars for something he did not order. He is going to the bank tomorrow and cancel his card and get his money back. What Jerks!!  Do not fall for this! Tried to call they don't answer!

I got a call like that too but it was a different number. They told me that I was in a sweepstakes in winning 1 million dollars. I can't believe I that I believed them. It wasn't tell I finish the transaction with them that I realize it was a scam!

The Same But i Canceled my Card number and got another one.

I received a call while alot was going on at home. I told them I'm unemployed and it's hard at this time, I feel tat because of their pressure on me I gave my credit card number, never received magazines and was billed (off my cedit card) 69.99 that was not the amount I was told I am trying to call them in the meantime I'm going to have to get my card replaced and go further to see if it is in fact a legit company. I'll go as far as necessary.

I received a call from this number awhile back. I believe it is a scam.  And I fell for it. I was sick with a cold and I don't know what I was thinking. They were trying to sell me magazines. I tried to cancel the magazine subscription, but couldn't. They told me I agreed to pay for 16 months worth of magazines.

same thing happened to me...the lady name is monica or something like that. they charged me the same way they charged you all saying the same thing about those magazines. i swear that pisses me off and i had to eventually cut my debit off. do anybody know if there is a way we can sue these people to avoid many other people to fall in this trap? email me @: educatedartist@gmail.com...thank you!
