Receving several calls from Jack Davis asking for call back this number to sovle IRS tax issues.  

I got few calls from this number leaving message on my phone telling me that I owe IRS money for few violations.  I called back few times and got the same guy with midle east accent and gave me different names. He told me that I must pay $7,000 immediately otherwise I will be arrested. I was panic to go on the IRS website and talked to the real IRS agent.  This agent said that IRS WIIL NEVER MAKE PHONE CALLS, it was a fraud. I reported the fraud, and the agent said IRS has been aware and it has been investigating. BE CAREFUL - DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFO.  Watch out!  Why does this number/fraud still work??? It needs to be brought down!

Caller id showed 3475590378 with name or company unknown, the caller name Shawn Skipler claimed he from IRS audit department, said there is legal petion against me, when the case goes to federal court, I will get arrested, asked me call back 8888557239. Called back twice, first call asked me whether I had an attorney, I asked who they are and they hanged me up on the phone, called back second time, they asked my phone number, I asked them who they are, they hanged up phone again.

Claims they are IRS and threatening to put us in jail.

I received a message from a Daniel Jackson claiming to be from the Tax Audit department of the IRS and that they rec'd a legal notice against my name.  

They asked that I call back to (888) 855-7239 before it reached the Federal Claims Court as I was arrested.

I called the IRS and confirmed there was no case and no money owed.  Also, reported the call to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at (800) 366-4484.

Also, filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC. gov.

The caller ID on the phone that matched the time was (230) 560-8422.   There is no where is North American with this code.  It belongs to Mauritius, Nigeria, a country known for scams.

I received a call from this number claiming to be an IRS agent and stating that i have commit a fraud with IRS and started reading my rights after letting me know that I am going to get arrested in one hour.
I was scared. He also gave me a number to call back, to confirm that he is an IRS agent. He also gave me his badge number and his full name. He did sounded and acted legit IRS agent, and fooled me for a short time. After hanging up with him I called my local police department and they confirm that they don't have any warrant against me and also I called IRS. Everything was fine. I realized later that this was a scam and the guy was demanding $4000 to settle the case.
I hope that the culprits get caught and they won't be able to scam anyone.  

I got a call today from caller ID saying URGENT from telephone 541-257-1235.  The heavy accented man left a message that I would be arrested and to call him back at 888 855-7239. I called and he said IRS.  What a scam. I am calling the police when I get home and the real IRS.

I am getting repeated call from this number. It is getting annoying. This is harassment. I guess it is useless to ask how can these people live with themselves. :o(

"Albert Lewis" left me a message in a very heavy Indian accent, saying he was with the IRS and threatening to have me arrested if I didn't respond. I'm usually too busy to answer the phone, but would love to get on the line with these people and have some fun! I live for this sort of thing.

Just received a call from this number. The man asked for my father. He had an Indian accent and could barely speak English. Claimed his name is Albert Luis and he was calling from "U.S. IRS headquarters on Pennsylvania Ave." and there is an important legal issue that my father needs to claim by calling him back at this number.  I cursed him and said I'm reporting him to the police.

Have had several calls from the number 888-855-7239 saying that it is the IRS legal audit department. They can barely speak English and sound as though they are reading from a script. The caller has a very thick
accent , possibly from India, and is impossible to understand. They threaten that I will go to jail if I do not respond. I appreciate the comments from others who have been contacted as I was suspicious that it was a scam. The IRS will send you something in writing if there is a problem. Do not give out any personal information to these people.

Called at 8am and said from IRS.  Threatening and abusive.  I called the number back and another guy with thick Indian accent answered and said the first guy was out having coffee.  I worked at CPA firms and the IRS doesn't call and threaten like this.  Some kind of shakedown!  

they are calling aggresively leaving several messages from IRS. They should be jailed. I could hear others reading out the same script in the background. Looks like an army of them call Americans.

this is really scam becarefull from these IRS calls.  they call me from 888-855-7239.   They should go to jail for ever.  please do not give any money to these kinds a***ole crocks.  THE REAL IRS PEOPLES WILL SEND YOU LETTER.

this guy is a FRAUD... he called and threatened to arrest my wife and put her in jail for 48 hours... seize my house, cars, etc.... he said to go to the bank on my cell phone and withdraw 2,900.00 dollars and go to a government office to get vouchers to send to an address... he said his name was KEVIN SHAWN in an Indian accent...  he said the court was listening to our phone call and I had 45 min before my bank account is frozen...

Called me twice to let me know that there is a tax fraud case against me and I should contact them at 888-855-7239 ASAP to avoid arrest. Fortunately the caller who is supposed to be an American IRS agent can barely speak English. Make me wonder if she called from American IRS or Indian IRS because she has a very heavy Indian accent while reading the script.

They should go to jail.

Just received a call from this number. claiming he is from IRS with Indian accent. Threading me that I'll go to jail if I do not respond. Please beware of this number. This is a big scam and I'm not sure how they do it. They should go to jail not the call recipient.

Left a message addressed to my name.  Caller claimed to be from the IRS Fraud unit stating a pending tax fraud case against me.  Wanted me to call back before IRS "arrest" me.  I think this is some kind of scam trying to scare people.  The IRS would send a formal notice by mail to notify you and not by phone with a toll free number.  Beware of this kind of calls!
