They called with a recorded message for me or my attorney of record to call them.
Never did hear an actual voice.
Call at all hours - with the same message.....
Will be contacting The Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General.

They called me at work with a pre-recorded message too. These type of calls are not allowed at my work. I will be adving the BBB of their actions

They called my work number. The recording said they were "Vandenburg, Chase & Associates" and that either I or my attorney needed to contact them immediately.  I looked them up and found their website is: http://www.vcacorp.com/index.php.  While looking around I found the following about what they charge companies to do collections:

We have very competitive rates. If you have a current collection agency, we can match or beat their rates. Our normal rates, listed below, are based on the size and age of the account.

   Accounts $500 or less - 45%
   Accounts $501-$999 - 40%
   Accounts $1000-$1999 - 35% plus court cost if applicable.
   Accounts $2000 and above - 30% plus court cost if applicable.
   Accounts older than 1 year add to above rates - 5%
   Overseas accounts add to above rates ? 10%


I knew it had to be lucrative business, but didn't know it was that good.

Claims they are a lawyer trying to contact me and to return call before end of the day.
