Had a former employee leave and I have been getting hang ups at my office.

I had 2 calls from this # today alone.  I don't know who the # belongs to. The line is open...I don't believe it's a hang up per se, but I think it's a computer generated call and perhaps the voice on the answering machine didn't register with the computer.

Calls everyday.  I don't pick up the phone.  It's annoying.

I get about 5-10 calls from this number every day.  If I do pick-up there is no one on the other end.  The calls are relentless.  Extremely annoying!

calls several times a week..says its Ruben schwartz and its not a sales call. I called back to see and find out its Chase bank. If you go to directory and hit 5, it will take you to their do not call list. lets see it that works.

I have my printer/fax machine pick up calls like this one.  Works nice last call i rcvd from this number was on 3/04/2008...   I think it worked and they took my number off their lists..  ;-)

Calling the number back ... entering "1" and then entering "5" appears to take you to their "Do Not Call" registry.  Follow the prompts to enter your phone number to be taken off their call list.  They claim it takes upto 30 days to implement the request.  I did all of this today, lets see if it works since I have become tired of getting 3 calls per day from this number.

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago offering all kinds of benefits for getting my "pre-approved" Chase Mastercard. He said if I would just verify some information so he would know he was speaking to the right person we could get the application moving. I said no way was I giving out or verifying and personal information to someone who called me and he seemed genuinely surprised that I wouldn't do it. I also googled the number and found this site...I'm actually kind of relieved to know other people have been called from this number for the same thing as annoying as it is.

this is Chase Credit Cards.  like the above tip says, you can call back the number in order to stop them from calling you.  follow the voice prompts and do the following:

press "1" to continue in English ("2" in spanish?)
press "5" to register for Chase's do-not-call list.
enter your telephone number.
press "1" to finish, or "2" to add another number.
don't forget to press "1" at the end to finish registering.

i've had Chase call my house at least 50 times in the last year, and i've reported them every time to the National Do-Not-Call Registry.  i think there is a loophole for them to keep calling you IF YOU USE THEIR CARD OR BANKING SERVICES.  let's see if registering for Chase's own DNC list is effective.

No message is every left.
How do I get them to stop?

We get calls from this number EVERY day! It has been going on for months, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. We don't even bother answering because when we do, there is nobody there and they just hang up. Is there anyway to stop these calls? Will the phone company block it? We are already on a do not call list.

They call several times per day and never leave a message.  They come up on the callerID as "unknown" and we never pick it up for that reason.  After reading the notes from others on this site, I went ahead and called it back and followed the directions (option 1, then option 5, and follow instructions).  It does seem to work.  Get yourself a pen and write down the confirmation code when you get through the phone instructions.  It also says it will take Chase 30 days to process the request.  I'm going to mark my calendar and hold 'em to it!  Good luck, everyone!

Chase is very persistent. Keeps calling my office every week so I put them on hold for 5-10 minutes everytime.  Don't answer their questions, otherwise they pepper you with offers for their credit card.

I think the dialing of "1" then "5" works... however-stay on throughout the call and make sure you finish with "2" to fully register.

"Chase" says I've been pre-approved for their credit card. I ask her how they got my landline work phone number in Washington state, which I don't disclose. She wouldn't tell me. Found this site by Googling this phone #. 3/8/08, 19:55PST

This IS Chase - I have one of their gold cards. They want me to sign up for a "Chase Professional" account. I'm like "OK", but then caller starts asking for personal info that Chase already has (since I have a current account). I tell caller that Chase has all the info re me that they need to change my account. He says it's "Chase policy" to ask these questions. I suggest that their "policy" needs to be changed, and I won't give any personal info over the phone. Caller persists in asking personal questions, I politely end call. This was 3 days ago - we'll see if they call again ...

Thank you.  It was option 5.  After some rigamoral they did let me enter a number to remove.  We'll see if it works and I'll try this method on all the other numbers.

this number is now calling 4 or more times a day. Nobody answers or leaves a message so not sure who it is that is calling. They are calling earlier in the day now, 7am this morning, and then again at 9am. We stopped answering all toll free numbers, and take our phone off the hook durinmg certain times of the day

constantly receiving calls from this number, nobody answers when we say hello, no messages left on answer machine. Now as soon as we see "toll free number" in caller ID, we ignore call, let answer maching pick up.

We get calls from this number all times day and night, at least 2 or 3 times a day. We never answer, let the answering machine get it, they stay on the line for a while but never leave a message. I wish they would stop calling and bothering us but I'm not sure how to get them to stop.

Just wanted to let you folks know that if you call that number back and press one to hear prompts in english I believe option number 5 allows you to remove your number from their lists.

I've been receiving phone calls from them for a while. I don't know what they want because we recently move here. If they keep calling I will call the police!

They call at least twice a day - once in the afternoon and once like 2 minutes before 9pm.  It is getting too irritating.  I don't think I've been available to answer yet, but I will answer next time and tell them to take me off their list.
