Well they at it again. Had this happen once a couple years ago, now today I noticed a charge from GAMMA III for 17.71
It happened shortly after a paypall money transfer, so everyone beware of your transactions online with Ebay. I think thats where it is happening.

I received a call from this number. I picked up and was told (every few seconds) "Thank you for your patience, a Time Warner representative will be with you momentarily" - or something very closer to that effect.

I too received the $9.15 charge from Gamma in TX on my Visa account on 6/18/08. I too called the number and listened to the British jackhole on the answering machine. I came to the computer to look up the number to see what it was, and I found this site. What the hell is going on?

This number called my cellphone a couple times today, I didn't get to it at first and then when I did nobody answered.

got a call from them this afternoon - saying someone had listed me as a reference. When I claimed to have no knowledge of the person they asked about, she then asked if I just wouldn't "help him out" and say I did. yeah and here's my bank account number too.

I had a charge of $9.25 show up on my credit card with GAMMA in TX and this number listed as the vendor. No idea who or what this company/person/whatever is. I had to cancel my card because of this fraudulent charge.

B.A. - I got the same charge and it said the exact same thing as yours did.  This was on my bank account though, Im guessing by debit card even though I never use my debit card on anything out of state... just on groceries and gas.
What is this business?  I called but they say to leave a message and do not state what or who they are!!

The Dove Foundation - Non profit organization about cleaning up the film industry. Called only one time so far, but they wanted to call again.

Just got a call. I answered and said hello twice. The person asked for me by name and then hung up. Scared me.

$9.25 from Gamma Tx as well.  Cancelled my credit card this morning.

these jerks have been calling for weeks but i didnt answer the first time (cause i didnt recognize the #) but i thought maybe it was some long-lost friend or something.. however, long-lost 'anyones' would probably leave a msg.. theyve called every day since and not once have i received a message. maybe i'll forward their # right back to them.. :)

A charge from "Gamma" in Texas with this phone number showed up on my Mastercard bill. The bank says it's a hobby and toy store. I never heard of them and disputed the charge.

Recorded call received DAILY asking for a "Michael" somebody who doesn't exist. Of course, if "Michael" isn't at this number, we can call to have our number removed from their database.

Same as all of the other responders. Have not been able to get a response either but I am sure it is Columbia House as they think we owe them money and in fact we never received the CDs we ordered. We received someone elses order which was returned to them promptly and we know they received them because we requested a signature when they were accepted back by Columbia House. We hadn't had any correspondence with them for almost a year. I think the best is to block the call which I will try doing.

Repeated calls, either hangs up, or says to please return my call, but no details given. When I call that number, I get a fast busy.

they call and hang up then call again ask for someone I have never heard of, why can't we block them.

I get calls from all the time. They used to call and were rude over and over and over again. Most of them I couldn't understand I wish they would go back to the country they belong to. They were always asking for someone I don't even know. Now they just call and hang up when I answer. If I don't answer they don't even leave a message (Hooray)! I say throw em al in Jail. We have enough LOSERS phucking with us all the time.

This is not a debt collector; it is not a toy store; it is not legitimate. This is a SCAM! Its MO is to charge just under $10 to thousands of accounts. Many people don't notice or just assume they bought something that they didn't. I disputed it and got my money back. I'm not sure whether the bank's insurance gave me my money back or if the bank contacted the account holder and they did it, but I am going to find out and pursue it as far as I can.

You should all do the same. These people should be caught and strung up by their genitals!

Called, no reply when I said hello. very strange. Called on mycell phone though. Does anyone live in the NY area or have a (917) cell area code receive calls from these idiots? Just curious

This is a debt collector . If you want the calls to stop, pay your bill. You can call them back to find out what bill you owe.

It was MCO Chase..some sorta collection department from Chase bank. They called my mother-in-law to get info on me. We are a few months behind on payments because of me losing my job.

If you ever call their 1-800 #'s for anything out your cell phones or any other number they record that on their database.Plus they can always inquire about other possible # you may have to other people or tracers.

I get this guy every now and then -- 'Ted Hughes'. I wonder if it's student loan stuff?

This number shows up on a Credit Card charge on my VISA bill.  It says it is for a company called Gamma Dalla????  When you call the number - you get this weird english accent man (recording) to leave a message.  I have left 3 messages and no return call has been made to me - so now I am disputing the charge on my VISA bill.  But, you still have to pay the bill in the meantime - luckily it's only $9.15!!!

I am always getting calls from this number. I had a caller ID isntalled that lets me know the number that is calling and then l put that number into the caller ID memory bank so when they call again my caller ID will say the number and then it will say Spam call do not answer. This way one one wastes their time answering the call.

i have a charge that was made on my m/card for 9.25 on june 10th from this number. it says Gamma, tx. i don't even use this card now and have no idea how they got the number. it bothers me. i am currently disputing the charge. even if you owe money to someone, why would they charge things to a random card? it makes no sense.

Got charged on my credit card for $9.15 with the description #Gamma on 6/11/08. Amegy Bank told me it was an online purchase from a Toy Hobby store in Dallas, Called the number listed on the transaction 1-888-869-2203 Got a strange sounding voice mail - left message and no reply to date. Cancelled my debit card and hope to be credited back the 9.15 soon. Nothing is safe out there!
