SCAM!  got a call from 855-501-3051  asking to call back (even left a pin number for me to enter) and another number to call back on 888-620-5879.  They said they were calling about my Citi Best Buy Account.  I have neither.  Called Best Buy and Citi both have no record of me.  This is a scam. They try and get your billing and last 4 on your social as well as any other information (like which bank you do use).  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING.  ALWAYS CALL BACK YOUR BANK OR OTHER INSTITUTION ON THE NUMBER THEY PROVIDE.  

These calls started the day after I looked at a car -- and foolishly gave them my cell number -- at Bell Ford in Phoenix.  Thanks to this site, I figured out where they originated.  Just called the salesman and told him that if the calls don't stop, I will never buy a vehicle from any Bell-affiliated dealer.  He claimed it was a survey to see about my experience.  It told him if it was, why didn't they leave a message?  
Big lesson not to give my cell number to any sales people.  The extra problem is that, even if you are on the Federal Do-Not Call List, once you give your number to them, it's not illegal for them to call.

this dude poses as someone from a local dealership (the dealership posed depends on what car you have) and calls to try to "buy back" your car. Immediately denied any further info; will block #

Apparently Vandergriff Toyota in Arlington, TX uses them also.. I too am getting these calls....

This company doesn't seem to care if you're in the do-not-call registry, and apparently neither do the car dealerships that pay them.  I received 3 calls from them in a week, after I shopped at 3 car dealerships.

Cars.com lists 888 numbers for each dealer ad. If you call one of them the calls begin.

they called to take a service servey for my recent visit to plaza Hyundai

It's a telemarketer for Camelback VW. Guess whoever had my cell number before was a customer. They said they would update their file. We shall see.

Same thing with me.  Was called, picked up, no one there.  I called number back and they answered something like "customer care center."  I asked to be removed from their list and was told it would take 24-48 hours.  They knew my name (from cell #, apparently) and referred to an Acura dealer I had visited.  I don't know what advantage a company would have by annoying people with calls and not being there when you answer.  (However, I have heard of robo calls being made at the same time and speaking to the first one who picks up.  Perhaps that's what's going on.)  Based on some of the messages above giving different dealerships and car manufacturers, I suspect it's a central number used by a number of car companies.

This number is unsolicited spam to my cell phone using my precious minutes.

call came in, I answered, nothing/no one there

Kept getting calls with no messagain, finally called the number back, it was to follow up on a service appointment I had at my local dealership. Basically just a survey.

888.870.3289 called my cell 3-4 times a day.  Called them back on a landline.  Identified as 'Customer Assistance'.  Spoke with a 'Linda'  (very nice) and requested deletion from their list.  Said 24-48 hours.  We'll see?

Can't  be.  I get calls from them all the time and have never leased or purchased a Honda

These jerks have started calling me too. I don't own a Honda and have never even talked to a dealer!  Nor am I a Subaru customer.

It's possibly a telemarketer from Honda or some other auto dealer.

This is a Customer call center for Ford in McKinney TX. Call and have them remove your phone number. They have called me for a week now.

Have no clue who this is, they call my land line then immediately call my cell phone when I do not answer.  I do not give my cell out except to personal friends.  How do I stop these people, I am on a no call list.

I was called and asked to do a survey on my recent trip to a dealership. I did the survey and requested to be removed from them. I only did it as the dealership treated me very well and did not pressure me into buying a higher model i did not want. This is no different then some of the other companies I have been too that have also called, emailed, or mailed me a survey. They stated that they would be removing my number from their system

I was very kind to them as they did not try to sell me anything.

I'm getting unwanted and constant call from this number. First time I answered and no one responded. From then on, I have not aswered and they leave blank messages. Plese, make them stop!
