Many calls on my cell...no one on other end when I answer...

I am getting called from this number every day on my cell.  I don't answer numbers I'm not familiar with, so I just ignore it and it ends up as a missed call that I don't care about missing.  

I'm not going to waste my cell minutes on calls that are basically phone spam.  After a week or two of this they will stop.  It is likely an automated caller that is calling random numbers until someone answers so they can add the number into some sort of data base.  Then even more calls will come in!  No thanks!

I also have been receiving this call.  Today I answered and waited to see who it is.  The call I received was from Autoway Honda

Getting the same call, both work and Cell, dead when pick up and no voicemails left when not.

I just started getting these calls at work as well, this has been going on now for about two weeks.  If I answer the call there is only dead air, so I just pick up the phone and hang it up.  I'll see how long this trash lasts.

These calls are from "AutoWest" or other names they use. They are ultimately affiliated with AutoNation dealer network. (huge) They are trying to get service business, get you to make appt for service at a dealer that has supplied your contact info to them. Relentless bunch. I never answer (10 calls this month so far). I just bought a Nissan from a "GO" dealer in Colorado. I will never do business with this group again (Rental, Used, New,)

Funny thing is, I (Barlow Joe) DID just buy a Nissan recently here in Texas, so I suppose there may be some truth to what this person wrote.

I complained to AutoNation. Got a call from Marc Cannon who said they're trying to track down the number. It's not registered directly to AutoNation but it may be a service some of their dealers contract with. Here is Marc's email.

I recently purchased a car from AutoWest Honda in Fremont, California.  I receive phone calls on my home and work cell phone.  It is very annoying, since they hang up and never leave messages.  If this keeps up, I will be sending an email to Marc Cannon at cannonm@autonation.com to request that they place me on their "DO NOT CALL" list.

This makes sense. I purchased a car within the last few months and started getting calls from this number. The dealer I bought my car from is part of Auto Nation.

We just bought a used car from Toyota of Cerritos (CA), a Power Direct dealer. Started getting phone calls from this number today.

Multiple calls at work and on cell.  Dead line when picked up.  Callback to the number results in immediate hold queue.  Very annoying.  How do you stop it??

I recently bought an acura tl a month ago and have been receiving annoying phone calls from this number and other numbers, even though I told them to stop calling me. I bought a service plan with them through Auto Nation. Even though I've filled out their surveys and answered questions over the phone, the calls never seem to stop. I even recently added my number to the Do NOT Call list and started getting calls from this number still. So annoying! I just never bother picking up, figured they should leave a message if it was important.

They've called me for days and not left a message, I told them I'm perfectly capable of making my own service appointments.

My car had not even half the miles needed for the first service, and I finally had to hang up on the guy, as he was trying to upsell me.

So much for the "Do Not Call List."  It's unenforced, unnoticed and b***s***.  We need something else that actually works.

I checked here before answering the call. I picked up, but did not say anything. I waited for about 10-15 seconds and the call was disconnected. Based on everyone's comments, it sounds like it's telemarketing crap for automotive services. I bought a new car within the last few months, so not sure if this is related to the new car or my previous one. In either case, VERY annoying.

Sounds like everyone is having the same problem. I have been called everyday for three weeks now. Has anyone had any success getting it to stop?

As if the customer service when I bought my car from Go Nissan 104th wasn't bad enough, now they harass my phone everyday. Never buy from them!

called me EVERY day!! sometimes twice a day. never a message. i answered a few times and no response. So annoying! finally i had just missed their call, i called back, and almost immediately transferred to an operator calling on behalf of honda. asked a series of questions about satisfaction of the new vehicle, and trying to schedule my next service appointment for inspection of $24.95. i refused the preset date he offered, then told him id contact honda personally for my next service. hopefully, the harassment of blank phone calls will stop now.

I had the same experience. Calls coming in, I answer, hear dead air, and then the call hangs up after about 3-5 seconds.  I already purchased a service plan, and filled out their survey.  I have no idea why they still want to talk to me.

Block your number, call them, and hang up when the rep answers. They do answer blocked phone calls, and it's their nickel.

Three days in a row, multiple times a day. Even after I registered on the "No Call List".

Fifth call in two days received from this number. No one is on the other end. Annoying!
