Why can't you guys just be honest with us secretaries when you call? If I had put the call through to my boss and it was a survery, he would have flipped out! But there may be a time when he IS interested and I know him well enough to know what those things are.

I am currently employed at psa. Even though no one has left a comment for a while, I figured I'd post this for anyone who googled us. We are a market research firm. We DO NOT SELL ANYTHING!! We only want your opinion. Surveys vary depending on the clients we have at the time. I don't know why we call from a blocked number, and for some reason, we are not allowed to tell you what psa stands for. But since this is anonymous, I'll tell you....psa stands for penn schoen berland and associates(I don't know why the "b" is missing). U can google that.....it has a website and a Wikipedia page.

I Was Called Twice. Call1 A Survey On Education... Then The Second Carol Was A Rude Man Asking About My Opinion On Current Events.

Ken Beck from PSB (he indicated a research firm) offering an IT Survey and $25. Sounds like same name and similar firm but different phone number (888.871.9502). Interesting the company is PSB instead of PSA.

I just got a similar call from Ricardo.  I am a manager at the Federal Communications Commission and will refer this to our Enforcement Bureau.

My office phone received a cryptic message from "Joyce" of PSA (no further identification) with a reference number.  Tried to call back the toll free number, but heard a message stating it was the "CRG Hotline."  No further plans to call back.

I too got a call from this number on a Sunday. A women named Kim (a relative took the message) was the caller. I don't know the last name. Kim told my relative that she wanted me to callback 888-871-4326. Kim gave my relative a 5 digit reference number. When I called back to find out what is was about I got an answering machine that identified the company as "The CRG".

She called back, and said she was having a problem with her computer system. I asked her how was Denver, which is where they are located, and she said it was beautiful there. Then she wanted to call me again tomorrow, to which I said No thank you.  I told her I wasn't comfortable with her mentioning of my being military and that it is illegal to distribute such lists.She WAS very nice though and I didn't sense she was uncomfortable and is really legitimately trying to perform survey work.

Yeah, a lady just called me and then re-doubled ...she was like.."oh wait..what....oh, can I call you back?" she asked me if I had already did an interview, and I said no, I don't even know who you are. She did mention the 20-30 minute survey, and after I exclaimed that was a long time, she mentioned the "75 dollar honorarium".. What the helll is an honorarium? haha. I think its bs, and if she calls I'll tell her to go fish elsewhere. I wasn't too happy that she already knew I was military....these people are buying lists from someone and I want to find out who they are buying them from so I can report them. PSA Employee...since Personally Identifiable Information is illegal to sell or distribute from Federal sources...would you mind telling us all where they got the information so I can have them arrested? Thanks so much.

Yeah, I got this call dumped on me from my switchboard operator too.  Laura, with PSA Interviewing stating she was doing a double blind interview that would take about 10 minutes of my time.  Offered a $125 payment for my time.  

I questioned how they got my information, what information they needed from me and who would be receiving my information.  Should could not give me and direct responses and that irritates me.  How do you expect me to give you direct responses when you are being so vague.  

I told the lady calling that it was not a good time and took a message.  I doubt I will call back.  I don't like how sneaky this felt.  

Today we live in an information society.  These people could get your information from anywhere and hunt you down.  Then, any information you give them solidifes their information they already have and expands on it even further.

Have received 2 calls from them in the last 2 days. One from "Kathy Warren" and one from "Harvey Bell". Don't think those are there real names.
Kathy left a reference number and a toll free call back number. They are keep asking for my boss, and will not leave a message when i told them she's unavailable.
How many times will they call before they let it go?

In my case they have not paid after 4 months now. I think they just want you to forget so that they can never pay, and you either forget that you were supposed to be paid or forget who to contact.

Lesson learned on my part. I won't do these surveys again.

THIS IS A SCAM!

They called. Asked me to complete an interview and offered to pay $75.00.

This was supposed to be a 10 minute survey. It actually took more than 30 minutes. The worst part, though is that they NEVER PAID!

My advice, say no!

There is no one to call and no email address.

I did receive the same call from Alanah with a reference number for my boss and she didn't want to let me the nature of the call. We called back and the number doesn't exist. Weird!!!

I got a call today from Scott Sloan with PSA.  He wasn't sure who he needed to talk to and didn't want to continue the call once I told him that I do not give names, numbers or email addresses. His number came in a unlisted.

I am also a PSA employee and I just wanted to give some feedback. The reason we are required to call you back is because your phone call comes into our office and the transferred to us at our desks. For us to be able to complete the interview we ask that we call you back, this is so we can dial out from our computers that are loaded with the script for the interviews.
At the end of all interviews that there is an incentive given for completion there is a phone number and reference number given should you have any issues in receiving your payment. The time frame for checks to be received is because all payments are sent out at the same time, when the project is completed. Usually a project takes anywhere from a week to a month or so to complete, that is the reason for the delay.
Google "PSA Interviewing" and you can get our BBB page and review. We do deal with some sensitive information and projects (Political) and depending on the project and subject matter we do not disclose our location for general security reason. But with one 2 min Google search you can locate all the info. I hope this clears up some concerns and issues.

I got another call from PSA interviewing. A month ago, I tried to return a call from them, but could not get through to an actual company. When I called this time, I got through. Strangely, they needed to call me back from their phone. Also strange to me, they could provide virtually no information about their company, not even a location, beyond "in the United States." They have no website or other contact information. Regardless, I participated in the interview to see what it was all about. The questions were mostly non-personal in nature. The process was a little rough around the edges, but the woman was friendly. I was promised the call would take 30 minutes, but it ended up taking about 60. Now I have to wait 2-3 months for payment. I am crossing my fingers that I get paid. Are they hoping people will forget? We'll see.

PSA - said to reference 154 to expedite service. Gave no indication what on earth he was referring to. I have no plans to return the call or pick up when i see it on caller ID

Our office received a message from Ryan Greenfield of PSA at this toll free number (also left a reference number) wanting to discuss the Sarbanes Oxley Disclosures (financial).  Sounds like a research/survey company.

Got a call 3/31 very cryptic.  no plans to call back.

I just got a call from stupid a** Scott Sloan also; he called and asked for our firms managing partner.  When I tried to screen the call and ask what PSA stood for he indicated that he was with a staffing solutions agency.  I indicated that the partner wouldn't take calls that were not client related.  I asked if he was a client and his reply was "I don't know"....

Secretary took message from Ricardo Gutierrez from PSA with a reference number, said it was regards to FCPA.  Glad I checked this board before calling back - thanks.

Mine was a Melissa Davis, clearly reading from a script - she repeated my full name at the start.  It sounded like PSA with an 888 phone # and a reference #.  At least they got rid of the same first/last initial thing.  Can you say SCAM or at best ANNOYING?

Someone calling themselves Kim Turner just left me the same sort of message.  Shady time burglars!

Why so long to send a check?     It should only take 3 days.     You can cruise to the Panama Canal in 10 weeks.

I just got a call from Victoria at PSA Interviewing. Victoria sounded like she was being coached on what to say in the message she left. A google search shows that they are a marketing research company. I called the 800 # (888-871-4839). When I called back, I got transfered to Chad who told me they are gathering information about technology usage for companies in Mass. He told me I called an incomming only line (not sure why that matters) and had to call me back. When he called back, he informed me that since my company was more than 30 miles from Boston, we did not qualify as a Mass technology company.

So great, now he has my name, my direct number and that was it.

My suggestion, don't call them back. Let them do the research in a more formal way like the US mail where they can be liable for mail fraud if they are not doing things right.

The Incentive PSA offers for Qualification and completion of the Interview is not a scam, PSA does send a check for the amount offered 7-10 weeks from the completion of the project.
