Any ideas who calls from this number?

You bet-its a scam company that uses bankruptcy and court records to harass people in an attempt to get money by posing as a law firm collecting for a payday loan-they use many other numbers and several names including: Lewis Law firm, FLS associates and others...when you call them back, if you do-they tell you that you are being named as a party in a lawsuit, or that you have commited fraud and that you cannot declare bankruptcy on a payday loan (I know they have used other debt and stories, but this is used most-they also call from: 888-872-2618, 360-382-1799, 716-213-0916 and 0915 and others.

If they start calling and you have filed bankruptcy- file a complaint in the county in which you reside (Usually with your bankruptcy attorney) document all calls-time, number what was said...save all voicemails-they wont ever send mail or anything in writing because they are scam artists. Also file a police report for harassment if you have enough calls, but confer with your lawyer first...and most importantly--DONT give them any personal info or money...EVER-only your lawyers name, and contact info...state clearly "I have filed bankruptcy and you must confer and direct and further communications with my attorney...nothing more-then hang up- Again...keep a record of ALL communications- be as detailed as you can..this is what is needed to file legal action.  If you have not declared bankruptcy and they have located you through other means- talk to an attny if you can afford to...if not, contact a legal assistance  program....file a formal complaint with your bbb, cpa and attorney generals office-there are usually forms online to do this.

I've also been called from this number.  Recently the calls started coming from 513-257-0509.  I've never filed for bankruptcy, nor do I have anything in collections.  When they call, its always a recording "...contacting you regarding an ongoing investigation."  In the message, they never adequately identify who exactly they are, I am not a lawyer, but I believe this would qualify as telecommunications harassment. I called the number back to point this out to them, and they "contacted their IT department to have me removed from any call lists they have.."

I received a call yesterday regarding some "on-going serious allegations against me" so I try to call them back and no answer, but just a voice mail. I have no clue what they are talking about. But at the end of the message you could tell that the call was rehearsed because you hear the lady mumble was that good and then the phone was hung-up. How can these people sleep at night. I was really nervous but now I'm not.

I got a voice message from Financial Liability Reporting services...They asked if by 3 different names the other 2 people owned our house before us and our name...They said that our address has serious allegations on our property and that we need to call them up with the name David La Fleur and phone # 888-872-2617 x702 and gave us a case # and than said call them up right away so they can forward out to the County & Jurisdiction... Is this a scam? We owe no money or had any bankruptcy and I'm a law abiding person...Just want to know if this is a scam, who I can find out before I call them up or if I can report this to whom?

Dont Call back...change your # if you have to..its a scam--sometimes pose as a law office [they are not] try to scare people into giving them money. If you get calls from this place report it at once to your local BBB, CPA (consum. protect.) and Attorney generals office.  They use multiple numbers and names- again...its a scam-- they prey on those who either recently filed bankruptcy or had a case filed in court (debts)

Just called me and, like Chris says, didn't really say anything except that there was some important matter or something and they needed me to respond or else they would make decisions about the "stuff" without my knowledge.  Uhm...should I call back?  I'm kinda freaked out right now.

Called my cellphone and were looking for some person by the name of Ivory.  They tell you that you are a person of interest.  Marketing ploy....sounds illegal!  I too am on the do-not-call list.
