I just received a phone call from a Frank Austen with this company, Goldman & Associates...saying i owe from a payday loan back in 2011. He said they have someone in the area ready to serve me papers to go to court unless i pay over the phone today. They refuse to send me anything in writing the validates the debt. But he will send me an email confirming payment, but only after i pay. Do i ignore?..this is so stressful  :(

Goldman Price & Associates also known as Goldberg Keller & Brown have a main # (888) 875 5183 that is flagged as a telemarketing. They claim to be a Law firm.  Known scam names are John Cambell, Mr Thomson ex327 & ex302, Mr Freeman ex334.

They use a variety of scare tactics (Completely illegal)  to harass.  Most of the calls are completely bogus and contain threats mach as one would expect from the Mafia.  They will not give information about their claims because they have already made false claim & threats.  They do not belong to BBB and have a rating of F on a scale of A+ to F.  They have 17 complaints closed with BBB in the last 3yr and 9 in the last 12mo.

They have 160 listed with Spokes & 800.

got a phone call similar to all of the above that I owe for a payday loan from 2010 on a bank account that was closed a few years before that.  The message they left was that I was going to be issued 2 summons to appear and gave some case number, as I have already had issues with someone compromising my personal info, I am extremely cautious about answering any questions, according to the secret service there are more crimes being committed with computers than there are with guns.  I did call just to check it out, and of course the woman who answered was able to name my old bank, so I gave her my attorney's number and told her that since I had been compromised once, it wouldn't happen again, if this was legit my attorney has my bankruptcy info, and I also informed her I still had my paperwork showing this account closed.  When I asked for their physical address, she would not comply, said it was against their policy, BULL..anyway did a skip trace on the number, it's a cell phone.  I think what makes me so angry is that I have my faculties about me, but what about the elderly, someone who just might cave to these gestapo tactics.  These people don't care and I think cell phone comanies should be accountable for issuing phone to people who get them for the purpose of committing larceny.

Multiple calls, not remotely valid issue and I am sure if I turned it over to my attorney to call they wouldn't like it..

I DON'T BOTHER TO ANSWER. IF YOU CALL THEM BACK YOU ARE ADMITTING YOU OWE THE DEBTS. BESIDES IF THEY ARE LIGIT THEY WOULD HAVE TO SEND YOU PAPER WORK ON WHAT YOU OWE. THEY ARE TRYING TO GET YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFO SO. I CHECKED THEIR BUSINESS. THEY ONLY HAVE A 885 NUMBER. IF THEY WERE A TRUE BUSINESS, WOULDN'T YOU BE ABLE TO GET THEIR PHYSICAL ADDRESS AND AN ACTUAL NUMBER. BE SMART. WHEN IN DOUBT, CHECK IT OUT....IT WOULD BE THAT HARD TO LOOK FOR YOU. MORE THAN LIKELY YOUR IDENTIFY HAS BEEN COMPROMISED. DO NOT EVEN CALL THEM BACK.

I WAS WONDERING WHO DO I CONTACT TO FILE AN COMPLAINT. OR REPORT? ALSO THEY MAY GO BY THE NAME OF GOLD STAR MANAGEMENT.

I received a message from Goldman Price and Assoc. about a returned item from my bank. Didn't state the banks name nor did they give me a file name. Gave me very little info to go on.According to the 800 notes above I found out they are debt collectors.

I got a voicemail message from Goldman,Price and Assoc too. The message sounded like it was being left by someone using a voice changer,very creepy. He said that it was in regard to an item that had been returned from the bank and that I needed to call them right away. They had a file # to refer back to when I called back,which of course I would never do!!
I have protection checking so if something was returned the bank would pay it and then charge me for it, also I check my account several times a day and nothing has been returned!!
Beware these guys play really dirty! I've had these guys call my neighbors before saying that we are in legal trouble and are going to be served. They google your house and your neighbors and do background checks on the adress to find out your name and numbers.
Remember if you owe someone money, they always contact you in writing, and it you are being served you get a written notice and a law officer/sheriff/server comes to your door with id. Don't be fooled by these people. They are real scum and I have no idea how they sleep at night!!!

I have received calls from this number repeadly and haven't answered.. I get the same message everyone else has gotten only no file number and no name of who the are looking for, just that I need to call back due to a returned item from my bank... the first time I called my bank and of course nothing was wrong so i just ignored the phone calls and messages... today I finally called that toll free number back 1-888-578-5183 and a man answered.. didn't say his name... I said I've gotten at least 50 calls from you and it needs to stop... he said Ma'am that is an not true.. I said Uh yeah it is .. he again said No it's not and I don't like your tone... hang on a minute... then asked what number I was calling from so I told him with no area code.. and he said Ma'am I don't like your tone call back when you can be reseasonable and hung up!! So I called right back and said Listen.. I'm not trying to start anything with you I just want to know why you've been calling everyday leaving messages... he said I'm looking for a Melody Blackburn, is that you or do you know her.. I said NO... he said I'll remove you from my list....  and the one time I answered it was the same message, to call him back... I wasn't given an option to speak to anyone then.

This person was trying to collect a debt and then when I told him I didn't currently have a job, he proceeded to tell me that he really didn't care about my personal problems.  I told him to f off and hung up on him.

I have recieved rude threatening calls from this number.They asked if I was "stupid, or just dumb"? That does not make sense.

This person called me 3 times back to back, when i finally picked up he said I was being sued and I needed to pay $1820 for a payday loan that I got in 2009, I told him that I never applied for any payday loans, he then started yelling at me, saying well you played yourself! you played yourself! I hung up, and blocked the number, who are these people and what is their problem! Is this some kind of sick joke!

This very rude person, John, has called my 80 year old father threatening
legal action.  After contacting him he said he was looking for a "Mary
Elizabeth Todd" and starting threatening me for my phone call.  He

Recently, my sister who has an UNLISTED and UNPUBLISHED phone number got a call from them asking for me.  I never gave ANYONE her phone number, heck I don't even have it on my phone nor do I even know it (she e-mailed me letting me know they called) and she said they claim I gave it to them.  I never heard of this company and I find it offensive to call a family member to contact me when I haven't lived with my sister for over 10 years.

...this jerk called my house  at 8 am asking for my daughter's husband , who she is separated from, and would not give information as to why they were calling  claiming  they had a message.  what's interesting is these are people who scan public records, police reports and other open records to  dubiously use the Freedom Of Information act  to try and scam people!!  How pathetic  !! -- don't ever answer questions from Goldman Price & Associates -- they are just crooks!!

I received this same call today on my house phone around 2pm from the (716)# saying I had a returned item from the bank & also that it would be in my best interest to call back on the (888)# to "discuss a voluntary resolution in this matter"...As well as not leaving the name of the person they needed to speak to...they did NOT leave THEIR name either...or a file # to refer to when I do call them back!!  I know for a fact that I have NEVER done business with Goldman, Price & Associates & I also know that I DO NOT have ANY returned items on ANY of my bank accounts.!!  The guy who left the message was rude & demanding...and he expects a response from me?!  I will respond to that jerk by posting his BS on every site I find that takes complaints about his kind of crap!!  I too live in Calif. & am also tired of those who scheme & scam & try to interupt my day with it...so I too fight back!!

I received a call on my cell phone at 8am from (716) 247-6329, it was a NY  #, so I didn't answer. A recorded message was left on my voicemail saying they were trying to contact me about a returned item from my bank and it would be in my best interest for myself or my counsel to call immediately. It then said to call (888) 875-5183 to discuss a settlement . The recording said we are trying to reach, then it skipped and mentioned no name . They said to contact them immediately and refer to file #, and it skipped again and gave no file #. Since I knew of no returned item & I live in CA, I was confused so I googled the name and it pulled up a construction company in NY. This is obvious FRAUD! I have recently had similar experiences, idiots using very threatening language and saying that I have officially been served & that the police would be coming to my work to give me court documents. I found out they were frauds too. These criminals use fear to try to get innocent people to give them money they don't owe. Always ask then to send you proof and documentation in the mail, they can't do it so they get mad & rude and  hang up on you. Don't trust any call like this unless you have proof and know you owe the debt. They are everywhere!!

I have received at least 3 phone calls a day for the last week from these people.. it's a pre-recorded message from 716-247-6329..stating that " We have now received your file and would like to speak with concerning your file, when you call back please have your file number available for review with our associates"!?...and they tell me to call 1-888-875-5183.

There is never a file number in the message.. just the same message every time. I am thinking this is a spam recording off of something I must have entered my cell number in on the internet? (purchases or something?) I dont use my cell number on anything but the internet.. so I know it's not a debt collector, My bills are all paid on time.. so I have to deduce that this is a scam..

This should be illegal considering most of us pay for phone calls received on a cell phone.... ridiculous.

I got a call from a guy named John from this he stated that I was being sued and I needed to pay $1461 for a payday loan that he stated that I got in 2008. I told him to email me this info and he became really irate. I told him I wasn't just going to give him my bank account number to him how do I know this is even on the up and up. Still waiting on the info so I can see what he is talking about and what proof he says he really has and why should I be sending him money and not directly to the company he says I owe. Still waiting on the email.

this is the second time I have had calls like this. First time around was about my grandma and this time my husband. Isn't there something we can do to stop this crap!

This person keeps calling my family and friends trying to get my number. They say we have committed check fraud 4yrs ago and need to reach us for court. We have NO checking account. I called them, the guy on the line said he was from the DA's office and he said that he couldn't send us any information on what we were being charged with. Really

Goldman Price has been harassing my 14 year old daughter.  The office has called repeatedly and every time I call back and ask for her number to be removed from their records.  First few times they were nice about it, but I talked with John Campbell tonight and he was unbelievable rude.  I asked repeatedly for his manager's name, to which he replied that he was the Director of the Claims Department and he was the boss.  Upon repeatedly asking for a manager's name, he actually tried to accuse me of harassment!  Don't know what their scam is, but I'm making a call to my attorney to make sure my daughter doesn't receive any more calls.

I have received a message from this company. I have been dealing for months with people calling and harrassing me with Indian Accents. I have had to report them all. And now this...what gives? When are they going to lose my information. I have learned to check all numbers that call me now because of these people. I do not even know how in the world they got my information to begin with. This just sucks!!

This number called me recently and left very rude messages! They said they had sent me correspondence regarding a civil lawsuit and I haven't respond so this will go to a higher authority! Please....I have NOT received anything in writing about a lawsuit or civil matter that I'm part of! If you are being sued for anything, you WILL receive something in writing no matter if you have moved because the law can find you! These people deserve to be shut down!

I just got a call from 888-875-5183 telling me that they had a file on me.  I don't think that is possible.  I have been having scam calls from someone that says they are financial criminal investigators and they are turning me over to the legal system today.  Today I get a call from the above number.  I know it is a scam, I have no intention of calling them.  Whatever happened to the "do not call" list?
If this continues, I will file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

I just received the exact same message! I have no idea who these people are or what they want; what I do know is that if someone is getting ready to sue you they don't call you and tell you, they just do it. Bunch of Rat B*****ds!

I received this message on my answering machine!

"I'm calling on behalf of Mr. Thompson of the law offices of Goldman, Price and Associates. He's asked that you call him today at the toll free number 888-875-5183 extension 302"

No reason for the call.
He did no even state who he was looking for.

Jack is right.  Don't sweat over these people.  The same guy leaves 888-875-5183 extension 327 on behalf of Mr. Thompson on my parents' voicemail.  When I called to let him know he had the wrong number, he became obnoxious and proceeds to tell me that it's impossible that extension 327 was left as the callback.  Extension 327 belongs to the Director (he pronounced it as DIE-RECK-TORE) of Claims Department. <insert his condescending chuckle here>
He proceeds to tell me Mr. Thompson is no longer employed by their firm.  SAY WHAT?!?!?!!?   "Then why did you say you were calling on his behalf when you left the message 1/2 hour ago?" I asked.  
Did he really want me to play back the message he left? <insert my chuckle here>
If they were legitimate, you would be contacted through the proper channels.

The only other people who begin a sentence with "look" would be their pimp daddies.
