gots calls from this following number 888 880 8518, 323 315 0140 and 714 312 0043 and they were connected to each other, hope FCC investigate this people and sue them for invading privacy

I received the same call from a lady today, she asked to speak to the owner and I replied " why?" she was rude and I could not understand her so I hung up on her and she kept calling. Finally I decided to call back that number and all I got was a busy tone.... so i looked them up and all  I found was this website......

They are some sort of yellow pages that publishes your cell phone number on Google, AOL and Yahoo! among other websites.  I told the woman I would find out who they were and I would sue them if they published my number.  She asked "why are you freaking out?"  Duh!!  I demanded to know the name of the company and to speak to the supervisor and she immediately hung up.  I think these people know how to piss people off.

Caller claimed to be verifying my information for a online website for notaries.  First the person was calling on my cell phone and I have it listed on the do not call list for 5 years (yes I renewed it).  Second I asked if this call was to solicite money from me and the person said yes...I asked to be removed from their call list and do not call again and my phone disconnected...HUMMMM really they hung up on me.  FINE.  Now I have documented what number it was and no NOT to answer.

Received ten calls from this number today alone said I was not interested. Now they are just messing with me calling from different numbers.

They will get aggressive with you. My friend got them so mad that the woman was saying "F*** you. F*** bi***", (SHE WAS SAYING THIS) and they called him twice that night and told him they were going to kill him. And there's been no way to trace the call. The whole thing is set up as a scam, even the parent company Xacti is built as a scam. They manage an information network that connects North America and Europe?? That's the internet!!! Also, they sell computer software (usually geared toward PC spyware removal and internet security, how ironic) and they sell mobile apps. The ones that charge the crap out of your phone, and are granted permission to record your keystrokes and text message and call logs. (Hint- Info stealing). The Usdirectory website is designed to look exactly like Yellowpages, and the association changes based on whichever Search site listing they pulled it from. One day they're with Google Places, the next day they're with Yellowpages. The woman who gave a hispanic name (but I assure you was NOT hispanic) told me they were bringing an online version of Yellowpages to my area. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? They depend on computer illiterate people who don't understand how THE INTERNET WORKS. They are looking for those few unfortunates dumb enough to sign up and don't care about the people who say no.  It's just like a roofing or paving scam. Knock on 100 doors, and 99 people will tell you to F off, but that 100th old man says "A new driveway? I have problems with this one? $14,000? Ok son. I'll get the checkbook." Same with fortune telling. For every 99 people who come in and get the $10 card reading and declare it as BS, there's that 1 who will empty her checking and savings account to remove the "evil" from over her. There address is a PO Box in Florida, probably listing USDirectory as the owner, and not a name. And the address it's tied to is probably a rental address which was occupied for a month before they broke the lease. You call the main company 800 number and you get put on a very long hold where a hispanic man answers eventually and sounds completely amazed at the allegations and takes your number and promises to send a request to main office and put you on the do not call list. I winced as I gave him ANY information. I conclude this with the fine print from their website Terms of Agreement. 'Nuff Said.

Same as above, calling regarding a YellowPages listing.  Told her I wasn't interested.

I'm a new face painter in my area and I too just added a Google Place page and started getting sales calls. I guess it's the cost of business. I'm a local company so I guess I won't be able to answer 1800 calls. Ticks me off a bit that my cell phone is now going to be abused.

Second call I have received from this number.  Such a heavy Indian accent, I could barely understand the caller. Their offer- get you more and better response to on line yellow pages for only 4.95 per month.
It is a scam.  The first time they called, they ask for a lot of information asking quesiton after question.  After 5 mins of this, I ask for them to get to the point as I was late for an appointment.  
They did not care and continued to follow their scrip.  I finally hung up on them.
Just got another call, with the same script.  
All my phone numbers are on the do not call list.  So how can they get around this.
Be sure to report them if you are on the do not call list.

She sounds like she is getting better at what she does.  she asked me the same Qs then more specific Qs like key hit words for finding my listing on the internet.  Watch out! she'll say your listing will be # 1 in your area on google and others and then ask for your credit card # and give you an unbelievably good price like $4.95 / month ( the real thing costs near $100.00 / month. if you refuse and hang up she'll call back.  I didn't answer.

I was afraid of this.  Somehow I became a victim of the Thumbtack scheme.  I should have known it was funky once I saw they let you post to Craigslist (with a template and all), but even Craigslist - the shadiest site out there - blocks anyone from using their URL in a link or text.

I to got a call from 888-880-8518 with the same Philippine lady with an accent and she said she was calling from US Directory (Online Yellow Pages)

Here is what I found out:

I have a computer repair business in Northern New Jersey and was searching for ways to advertise online when I can across Thumbtack.com (Like an online yellow pages if you will)  Once I signed up with them (Thumbtack.com) I got a call no more than 10 minutes later from this lady from US Directory.  

I also have Google voice and have blocked them!  The contact at Thumbtack.com is Heather Madison.  Her email is heather@thumbtack3.com.

I just got a call from that # too, didn't answer, then looked it up. I'm loving my new Google Voice number more and more.  I just went into my online dashboard and blocked that number...for free!!!  If you don't use Google Voice, maybe try it out.  I use it so that my business calls don't have my personal numbers and I can set the ringer for certain hours.  Now I know I can BLOCK telemarketers and sales people too!! :)

Just called me.   I didn't take the call.   Didn't leave a message.  Thank you everyone for the heads up not to answer this call.    I added it my iPhone  DO NOT ANSWER contact.       Everyone with iPhones this is a great way to avoid calls from Collection Agencies, Telemarketers, Political fund raising, general scammers.............just people you don't need to waste your time with on the phone list.    Then add the QUACK QUACK ring tone.   For piece of mind you'll never have to deal with these people again.    My list has over 200 phone numbers on it.  Scary.

They called my business today, obviously my business number is available online in many places, so I don't know where exactly they got it.  Indian male asked for the "owner" I asked who is calling he said "Nathan" (right, like I believe that). I asked for the company name and he said it was YellowPages (again, as if I believed that). I then asked for a call back number, he would not give it.  He said why are you asking for that, I asked you for the owner.  I said, this is a solicitation call, if I ask you for a call back number you are required to give me one. He said, oh yeah and what law is that then? I said if you were a professional company you would know that wouldn't you.  Do not call back.  He said "Oh I will call you back every day". I called him an a***ole. Immature, I know, but I enjoyed doing it.  Then I hung up.  Going to see about blocking the number now.  Or better still, redirect that number to some government authority :)

I just signed up for Hotfrog.com.  And suddenly I received two calls toll free calls. The first 877-330-0835 I think when I searched it, it too was for usdirectory.com and the second being 888-880-8518.  I just dont answer my phone.  Let it ring!

I received a call from this number today. Recently, I received a call from somebody claiming to be from yellow pages and saying the listing was completely free but they wanted me to buy a premium ad. I also do not think that it was from any known yellow pages company. But seeing the descriptions, it seems like they don't take no for an answer and don't respect that I said I am not interested.

Same stuff different day. Just like 777-889-4685 the 888-880-8518 are exactly the same stuff. Scam callers and total waste of time to answer when they call.

I received  a Call,Could barely understand mainly because they were speaking Reading) so fast ,not the accent for once. I interrupted asked ,"before we get started, What company are you caling from?"
He Replied ," USA  internet Directory .". Than I told him to wait let me get a pen ,I don't wanna end the call and not have known who it was. I aked his name, He said . Sam Gomez,. I then asked for his operator I.D number too identify him. He replied" I don't have an I.D Number ETC... , This is my direct phone line"!!
I asked now what was he inquiring about, he asked "this is your main business line ,correct ? I said no ,He than explained that clients are seeking my business service. I stopped him said , No thank you , not interested and hung up.
