I live in Minnesota and I just got the text today. Glad I looked on here before calling the number.

i received a text to call this number:

after not finding any information on the number, i called it.

says something about :

("your (unclear) credit union debit card has been suspended, press one")

it is unclear what credit union they speak of.  i know it's not the credit union that i have.

Yep!  I got the same text also at 1:12 P.M.  I have a 281 area code and am a Verizon user.  I tried calling the number from my land line at work and got a fast busy signal.

Ya I got a text saying "Plus4 CU: Please Call 1 (888)881-4820" at 11:50 am today

I got the same text at 11:23 this morning. Glad I researched this number before responded. I have Verizon and I'm 281 for what it's worth.

Just got this very same message to my Cell from 888-881-4820. Sounds like a scam. Glad I checked. I am in Houston, as well, with a 281 number.

Received the same text. 281, Verizon, and North of Houston. I hope nobody falls for this....

Another Houstonian here, I just got the text as well.  Is it only limited to Verizon customers?

Common demoninator may be 1) Verizon and 2) area code. My wife & I both posted to this site & both have 281 numbers. My daughter has an 832 number thru Verizon and hasn't recv'd the message.

Yup, got this about 30 minutes ago. I didn't call back due to not recognizing what it was.

I don't live in Houston anymore, but I used to, so I still have my "281" cell phone number. They are just making their rounds like previously stated by others. Just delete it.

Got a vtext from this number. Garbled message with unspecified credit union saying my debit card is suspended. I did not call.

Same message. Tried entering a bogus number to no avail. Agreed this is a scam. Verizon Wireless is the carrier. Should also note Verizon sent a text earlier about upgrading my minutes. Unknown corrolation, but my minutes aren't an issue. Weird.

Located in TX too, they must be making the rounds today.  We're all just a few mins apart here with these comments.  I too rcvd txt message (on verizon) "notice@vtext.com" call 888-881-4820.
