This is the ultra high pressure scam firm Dun & Bradstreet Credibility, a formerly shared business (now independent) of Dun & Bradstreet. All they want is to scare small businesses into paying for false services. They are a predatory operation, no doubt. I demanded my numbers be added to their Do Not Call list. We will see if they obey.

Sherrie called from Dun & Bradstreet about recent activity on our business accounts...sounded fishy to me so I put her on hold to look up her number. Found this page, went to pick the line back up to tell her to never call here again and she had already hung up.

A wolf in sheep's clothing.
Official Dun & Bradstreet - D&B website is www.dnb.com.
These scammer's website is www.dandb.com. They had the audacity to advertise it on this page.
I finally returned their official sounding phonecall. The mumbling rep said some 'public administration' had been trying to view my business report. She could not tell me who. Finally, she said no one was reporting my on time payments and this could affect my business credibility.
When I finally smelled them for who they really are, I hung up.

This number keeps calling and hanging up when I answer the phone. If it is a credible business, you would think they would state why they are calling.

Put us on your do not call list.
| Lynne McKnight 2013-10-09 22:30:29 Unknown |
I fully agree. I get so many solicitation calls and I just can't be bothered. But this one from this number said he was from D&B so I actually listened a little longer than normal. This guy was rude and insulting. SCAM!

D&B telemarketers. They seem to pester you on a schedule. several times for a few weeks then nothing for a few months. I don't answer unidentified calls and "unavailable" toll-free numbers. If legit, they will leave a message. If not, keep on calling and I will keep on not answering.
If they can give you what they call "credibility" for a fee, then it isn't worth much, in my opinion. It explains why I lost money on a bankrupt customer when D&B was still not reporting the bankruptcy 8 weeks after it was filed. That is when they lost me.

And did you know it is against the law to have a machine dailing random numbers for you to sell stuff to. Especially when they have there number on the do not call list. A federal list that states they don't want losers like you bothering them. So scam is what you are and I hope you catch a nice law suit

A msg about "activity" on my business credit report. They want to set up an account before providing any details. At least they identified themselves (although they are hanging on the Dun & Bradstreet name). More telemarketing crap!

They called again and my Digitone Blocker stopped their call. My phone does not even ring when these scammers call.
BTW, I called the number back and they answered as D&B. I left a message with my real name and asked them to stop calling me...not that I really care...they are SOooo BLOCKED!
Buy a call blocking phone or device!

Props to the legal firm above that is going after this illegal scam perpetrated by this company.
I received yet another call from these people (D&B???). As usual, their call was blocked.
I have been in business for over 30 years and have NEVER been refused credit and no vendor has ever mentioned that they used D&B as a credit reporting or credit history source. Same thing with the BBB - another scam organization that is basically a "pay to play" outfit. You want an "A" or "A+" rating - you have to pay. Do not rely on any information provided by either of these sources.
SCAMMERS ALL!!!

Dun and Bradstreet Litigation
The purpose of this website and forum is to raise discussion and investigate a possible fraud or scam being committed by business credit rating agency, Dun & Bradstreet and/or Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corporation.
In this regard, our firm is currently investigating claims that D&B and/or Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corporation falsely report negative credit ratings for businesses in order to generate monthly fees from those same businesses who seek to ?repair? their negative credit history through D&B?s website. The information we have been provided suggests that Dun and Bradstreet may create false vendor information on a business whereby D&B reports that an unidentified vendor has indicated that a business has not timely paid its bills or has outstanding debts. However, the business has no outstanding debts and all bills have been timely paid, and when the business attempts to identify the alleged vendor who reported a phantom debt or unpaid invoice, D&B refuses to identify the vendor or provide any proof of the alleged debt. After the business makes an inquiry to D&B regarding the vendor and the negative credit rating, the business is advised that in order to repair their negative credit history, they must sign up with Dun and Bradstreet and pay a monthly or annual fee, generally in the hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
The incidents we have been privy to include the following: One day, my firm was contacted by a representative from Dun & Bradstreet who informed us that there has been some negative activity reported against our business. We were shocked that this could be the case because we had always made timely payments with vendors. The D&B representative informed us that we could try to correct the negative report by accessing our profile on the D&B database for a fee of $400.00.
Despite the shock and confusion, my firm decided to pay the fee. Despite accessing our profile and searching around, we were unable to find a single vendor who had ever submitted a negative report about us. I contacted the D&B representative who was not able to provide any rational explanation about the negative report.
We have been investigating what individuals are calling a scam by Dun and Bradstreet. We have reason to believe that D&B fabricated the report in order to make us pay their fee for accessing our profile.
In another case, a business reported the following: Dun & Bradstreet listed that my company was ?likely to fail? because one vendor reported a 90-day late payment of $50.00. After paying the $400.00 fee to access their profile, the company was still unable to locate the allegedly late invoice. As in the case of my business, the representative from Dun & Bradstreet could not explain why the company was rated ?likely to fail.?
A separate business reported that it was denied a business credit based on a Dun and Bradstreet report. When that company contacted Dun and Bradstreet, they were informed that they would be given no information unless they signed up to access their Dun & Bradstreet profile for $400.00. This company even noted that the name of the CEO on their Dun & Bradstreet profile was incorrect and false. Ultimately, this company went to another lender who agreed that Dun & Bradstreet is not accurate, and not trustable. The company was approved then approved for a line of credit despite the negative Dun and Bradstreet report.
In yet another startling case, one business owner was contacted by Dun & Bradstreet and was informed that his business? D&B credit rating had dropped. The Dun & Bradstreet representative informed the business owner that if he paid a $449.00 fee for a self-monitoring service, his credit rating would be restored. The business owner was shocked because he had been in business for ten years and never paid a bill late, and was given no other options.
We have come across similar reports of a business being informed they are ?likely to fail? because of a negative report by a mystery vendor that is never found. Many business owners feel lost and confused because they don?t know how to properly handle the serious charges they face, but my firm can help.
If you feel that Dun & Bradstreet has cheated or defrauded you, please comment below or send us an e-mail and share your story. At this time, we are investigating a possible class action lawsuit against Dun & Bradstreet.
If you or your business believes it has been the victim of fraud or scammed by Dun & Bradstreet, please post a comment below and share your experiences or send us an e-mail at the address below. We will investigate your experience and evaluate whether you may be a proper party to pursue a class action lawsuit.

Definitely a scam, left our business a message saying we NEED to call them back and give them our "business number" which is some random number he read off. Wish there was a group or company based on tracking these b*****ds down.

*************SCAM**************
They called again and again their call was blocked.
I have been in business for over 30 years and trust me - THIS IS NOT D&B!!!
Additionally, no one uses D&B to obtain your credit history. That's all done by the 3 major credit reporting agencies - NOT D&B and certainly NOT by these scam callers.

It's more like "Mike Miller, of Miller's sh*t shovelers". These scammers don't even try hard to convince us anymore. It's like they have 1 eye on the cricket game, & 1 eye on their work. Plus, the other guy "Hollice P. Wood", I mean really! Why not use the name "Ed Wood", the 50's king of schlock movies.

888-881-9222 has been calling my cell phone. So I put them in my directory as Dunn & Bradstreet PESTS. Now I won't make the mistake of wasting my time answering.
