How did the manage to find my office number?... so shady! they have a bunch of fake information!

For the people that work for this company: I would rather work at McDonalds than bothering hardworking people with your b***s*** type of job.  Wake up. In this world there is no easy money! instead of calling people to scam them please get off your lazy a** and take some action into your life! get a better job! a job where customers will appreciate your skills stop bothering and wasting peoples time. Scam or not scam you do not call me on my personal phone. If it is business related let my bank handle it. You low piece of s***.

Received a call from Sarah at Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. a little while ago - call back number 888-881-9822. I said I'd have to call back as I was busy. I then called D&B directly. D&BCC is a sales group that is not affiliated with D&B, but yet they have our DUNS number and contact information. The D&B representative also kept to the script when answering my questions about this group so I didn't get very far with her. I don't think I'll be in any rush to return the call to see what they want to sell us to improve our credit rating.

Please do file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC & FCC..

Got a call on my business line.  left a message.  The woman sounds not familiar with she wanted to say, with broken sentences.  The connection was bad, too.  Sounds quite suspicious.

Just got a call on my cell phone (it is my biz #)... when I answered, a recording said, "sorry there is no one available at this time". Duh.

Glad I read these reports though since. While I'm registered with D&B for part of my business (required by Aple - go figure!), it's totally irrelevant for me as I don't DEAL with anything credit related.

Just received a hard to hear voicemail from someone called Dion from Dun and Bradstreet.  The phone was really crackly.  She said they had information that I should know about our company and I was to call back at 888-881-9827.  She had a reference number for our company.  Sounds very dicey so I checked on line.  Good to see these reports.
I will not call back.

I just received a call from a lady named "Chelsey" she said she was with the same credit rating agency, asked to speak with the owner of the company. I asked her what it was regarding (she didn't know the company name, or the owners name!) . When I asked, she sounded slightly baffled and said it was regarding our credit report, then she rushed the conversation and said she had to get going.... SCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!

Apparently they are the largest credit reporting agency in the world according to the gentleman who called me.
Also the IRS has the ability to lock us out of our office, in Canada.....

Everytime they call our office and I ask them to remove me off their list they hang up.

Why would I want to do buisness with a American company in Malibu without a Canadian office or knowledge of Canadian credit laws....

Same old story.  Scam.  None of your vendors, banks, insurance companies, etc. would be inquiring with them about your credit rating, as none of them have ever heard of them.  They would have used one of the three big name credit reporting agencies, not scammers.

Sad, just sad! These scammers just ain't got it. They don't even try to be convincing. Wow! Is this the best India has to offer? Stick to watching cricket boys.

Pure and total scam

Hello just received this call from Dunn & Bradstreet Credit Corporation
The girls name was Chelsea and the message said this
"Hello this is Chelsea and I'm calling you from Dunn & Bradstreet corp. we hold
and maintain your business credit report and a recent
purchase was made and they needed to speak with us."
I called bull s*** right away. They wanted to sell something that
Would improve our report history.

I keep getting nuisance call's from 1-888-881-9822, telling us about credit activity, which is pure BS, since we don't apply for any credit, and when i started asking this BOZO about a service that doe's not apply to us in Canada, he got belligerent and then i asked him if he was even a graduate of kindergarden, and he hung up on me. So, knowing this is a pure boiler room scam operation, using a credible name, i asked to speak with the owner or president, or any educated person with credit reporting experience, and they hung up again. This is ultimate high pressure sales tactics of a useless perceived product to RIP OFF the busy people earning an honest living, by pure crooks, and despite the crap they try and spin that they are credible at anything, but trying to steal your money. Shame Shame, and i hope they all go to HELL!!!

Listen to what the March 21, 2013 post says and report these people and their actions.  We received the same call with the same go around as everyone else:  Two things:  I googled the 1888 number and arrived here, and thankfully so.  Second Thing of concern:  google the reference number that he or she gives you:  I did and it brought up a bunch of private information readily available for sale.  It included our company name, our address, and claimed to be able to provide information on income tax returns, etc.  

Hasn't anyone found it odd that the people who reportedly work for this Dun and Bradstreet are not very professional or businesslike when they respond to the posts on this site?

One more item to consider, I asked this person to call back once last week while I ran a google check on them, and she has not stopped calling since!  Through the weekend, didn't matter!  So that would indicate this is not legitimate.  If this were a legitimate company in the first place, they would be professional in all aspects, 100 per cent of the time.

Report it, copy the google searches, and forward to the police anti fraud squad.

These Dun & Bradstreet extortionists tactics are nothing new.  They engineered the perfect system to extort businesses by allowing anyone to inject wrong information into your report and then allow them to remain anonymous citing privacy laws.  

The lady that called me (Dionne) had detailed information on a false report that D & B made about my company so I don't think it was a phishing call.  If its a phishing call, it's FRAUD.  If it's actually from D & B and they use these tactics, it's also FRAUD.

Anyone else who receives this, I suggest you make a report to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.  You will hold for a long time (lots of fraud out there) but you will get to a real person that knows what they are talking about, will take your report and share it with the appropriate LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES.

If you don't report fraud, nothing will get done about it!!!

PS - Dun & Bradstreet also violated my privacy by disclosing my private information (as defined by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) on their web site so I am reporting them to the Privacy Commissioner (1-800-282-1376) as well.

If someone turns up here and alleges to be working for them, or is representing them in a positive manner for some of the conduct being discussed here, that person should let D&B company known I attempted to reach D&B using the numbers on the website and not a single number allowed me to reach anyone.

I was called a month or so ago and told or company had had a great many financial checks in a short time and while our credit rating was bad, they could help clear it up.

Odd, because our accounts are paid in 15 days and we have not had to use our line of credit other than twice for three weeks in the past two years.

I told them I would call them back, went online and found the link below, apparently they are prepared to lie in order to gain business. I am quite sure that the service they provide DOES have some benefit but frankly, I have to wonder how much benefit really  if theyfeel they must resort to lying in order to generate business for themselves

Listen to your voicemail and go online and research that # on D&B website its ur duns #, we are a real company doing real business dont call thats fine

This is the second time they called us. The first time resonded, they wanted to offer us an option to monitor and update the credit report they provide about us. However, it's not cheap. I asked them to email me more details about their services and prices, they never did that.
I searched for our company at their web site. They are offering different reports but indicate they need time to collect details for more comperhensive report. So, maybe somebody really asked them for detailed report and they need that info.
I don't care, if they make money selling our reports, they should give us an option to access and update our information for free.
At the same time, our vendors and clients don't need this kind of reports and it will not affect our business if we don't provide that information at all.
However, the message sounds very rude ("it is very imperative to call us ...."), so no wish to respond.

8888819822.  This number also called me with pretty much the same story as everyone else. I was immediately suspicious, and rightfully so based on what I see here.

Got a call from Chelsea at Dun & Bradstreet "Credibility Reports".  Left phone number 1-888-881-9822.  Stated that reports has been purchased on our account and to give them a call.  I was to reference #24937082.   Who care's if someone else is buying reports, if you have a D&B # that information becomes public anyway. NOTHING BUT A SCAM

Appears to be a legit company, but each time they call they want to sell an information package as there is a new report.
After I decline and inform them to take me off their scam list, I get several scam emails with the same claim number.
Don't know if it is D&B or someone using their name, but it pisses me off either way!

Got a call on 27 NOv. 2012 from a Dunn and Bradstreet Credit Corp.  Said there was a lot of credit activity on my D&B Account.  I asked him who.  He said he did not have a list of who only the number.  I said well what was the number.  he said 3.  At this point I was very suspicious.

I asked him for a phone number which he gave me (888-881-9822).  I then asked him for his mailing address.  He said he was not at liberty to divulge his mailing address other than to say it was somewhere in the United States.  I told him that I was no longer at liberty to speak to him and hung up.  Sounds like some sort of scam or hard sell.

This is not a scam. The connection is bad, noise is in the background, so I became quite suspicious like rest of you. However, I got to live agent when I called that number. I explained to him that I don't want any further phone calls and he was glad to take me out of their system. The company is http://www.dnb.ca and it's legit company. By the way, when I chatted with the guy (Rony?) he explained that they charge whoever pulls your report and "feel obligated" to let me know that somebody is interested in the company as apparently credit score is based on their reports, so I could understand why they wanted some financial info. Yet, I would not provide it to them. Everything they need should be publicly available to them from other sources. It's ridiculous to ask business owner "how are you doing". It's not scam, but smells bad anyway.

Call received today 2.00PM - claiming there has been activity on our businss - left a ref# 249250820 - we already deal with a reliable credit reporting company. Totally a scam of some sort!

Total scam - Another recorded message from these guys.  They said they were from Enerbrand Credit or something, which is not the same company they said they were last week!!!!  Called from 888 881 9822, listed account reference as 248 587 383, same as everyone else here - increased credit activity on the account, need to get in touch with us directly.  They must think I'm a chump.

Our nonprofit received a call this morning. They asked for our Executive Director by name, and said there was some "adverse activity on our Business Credit Profile." They provided this toll-free number along with a DUNS reference number. The adverse activity is that we are not a customer of yours ;)
