Got a call from this number for someone who is not at this number.  Never heard of them before.  Said his name was Vance Bowman.  He left information about them on my voicemail that should not be shared due to privacy laws.  I called the call back number, got voicemail and left them a message repeating back the info that they left on my voicemail and told them this was not that person and that they left WAY too much information about this person on my voicemail, and not to call my  number again.  They called me back and told me that they did not make outgoing phone calls and that I was rude (I kinda was) and that was a bad thing to do to a litigation office and that I had "started something that was going to cause me all kinds of misery".  I think that is a threat?  Bring it on!  These people are psycopaths!

They left a message on my son's phone that I was passing bad checks -- which is a lie. When I called them back, they claimed that they didn't make that call but a "locator" did. When I told them I wanted to proceed with any exchange in writing so I'd have a record of it, they got very huffy and insulting. When I pressed the woman I spoke with on my rights under the FDCPA, she claimed they weren't a debt collector but were taking me to court. I told her I'd contact the original lender, she got more insulting and we ended the call. By claiming not to be a debt collector, apparently, they think they can get away with not following the law. Which is patently untrue since they are attempting to collect a debt, legitimately or not.

I received a call from Capital Litigations after calling them back from my job.  They originally called my mother, who never gives out her cell.  They made threats, saying that they could not  get in touch with me, so they are asking if she'd pass on the information.  They said they were calling on behalf of 2 plaintiffs and lied about the county they were in. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES CONFIRM OR GIVE THEM INFORMATION ABOUT YOURSELF.

The telephone number I was given was 1-877-658-2033 ext. 183 or option 1.  Now, in 2013 they are claiming to be "Locator" services for debtors.

They gave me a case number and everything.

Kimberly Taylor from Capital Litigations called my job & told my Human Resourses director & my boss that she was sending Federal Marshalls to come to the hospital where i work to arrest me for Wire Tapping !! My boss took me off the floor & told me to get my belonging because she didnt want them to arrest me in front of my patients & staff.So we had a conference call with Ms. Taylor & she told them she wanted to talk privately with me & she denied to me that she said any of that to my bosses.So i almost lost my job (still might?) . The thing that really pisses me off is that a year ago i got a loan from VIP loans for $500. & paid it off in 90 days as require & got an e-mail from them saying $650. was all paid & thank you & if i needed anything else to contact them. A year later this Cap. Lit. sayes i owe $1200. WHAT ??????

I recieved a call from a leroy johnson from this same "company" ext101 i unfortunately gave these people money...however they put through a charge not authorized by me. I finally called the original company i was in debt with to see who the collection office they were dealing with. It was NOT them. These people are sneaky. They have info on you. I put in a dispute with my bank but my bank wanted a letter from them on letter head just to say they put through an unauthorized payment. I called them back. As soon as i mentioned authorized letter head leroy put me on hold and then hung up. I called back and got hung up on again. Third time called, same thing. My bank now has this as fraud. Please no one fall for this scam like i did. Lucky enough i caught it early....they still too over 600 dollars but i am lucky that my bank is reversing it. Caller number was similar to others 888-593-9029

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

I received a phone call about a week ago, I had just gotten out of the hospital, the day after New Year's day.Perfect timing!! They sure caught me with my guard down,and since I have had financial problems I assumed what they told me was true. First my boss called me at home and said there was a very serious matter I would need to clear up. She had no clue who these people are. So her reaction had me so worried. We made arrangements to pay these people, CAPITOL SOLUTIONS, and now money is coming out of our account in a few days and we don't really know who we are giving money to. Today we are doing some research and calling an attorney. I can not work until this is settled. Is this legitimate??? I sure don't know, can someone help?
phone number they called from is 888-510-4620, they also would give no address.

This company called me last week and then again just yesterday. Both times at work, a chic named Angela @ 1-877-630-6431 ext. 172  telling me I owe over $900 back from 2006 or 2007. And telling me that if I didn't pay I would be served with papers. I told her to send whoever she was going to send. I told her not to call me on my job anymore period, and I hung up the phone on her. Then about 5 minutes later my coworker comes and gives me a message that she took for me from Amy @ Capital Litigation. This chic had the nerve to tell my coworker that I needed to call her immediatley about a legal matter and if I didn't she was going to call my Human Resources Dept. She also gave my coworker my case number. But what I'm tripping out about is that fact that I have paid what I owed(which is nowhere near $900) to another collection agency back in Feb. 2012. I have my letter of Payment In Full, and when I told her that I had this and asked to a fax number so I could fax it to her she wouldn't give me one. Just got a call about 20 minutes ago also, I told her to go a head and have me served and hung up. WOW, this is really becoming bothersome. I am going to call the Attorney General's office and report this BS....and do whatever else is takes to show them that they wont get a dime from me. I have also recieved calls from about 3 other bogus A** collection about this same account.

I got a call from 877-858-3517, Katherine Stevens ext. 182, she told me that she was with Capital Solutions and that agents were 30 minutes away from my home to arrest me. She said that I took out a $1000.00 loan and that they have me on 2 counts of fraud, as well as $775.00 in penalty fees and $2155.00 in court fees, when I told her I had no clue what she was talking about, she told me to stop playing stupid because I am being recorded so the lying needs to stop! I was so pissed I told her that she doesn't need to talk to me this way and then she told me that we needed to hurry up and resolve this because I have very little time and she was trying to be sympathetic towards me because I have 2 kids at home and didn't want me getting arrested in front of my kids, also apparently she got a hold of my father in law and he gave her some of my info and told her he was willing to help pay this. I tried to explain I didn't know what she was talking about, she then told me my current address as well as my past address and said I had 1 hr to call her back or I will be charged. I looked on here and felt a little relieved that I'm not the only one this has happened to!
