Obviously a fake caller id.  Yeah, these are loser telemarketers that will hopefully get shut down someday.  If we're lucky, we will get a Spam Phone Call law with teeth that will prosecute them.

Called me too.  Time to ditch having a phone.

Just got my regular call from this number.  I don't know why they even bother, as no one in their right mind is going to answer such an obviously fake number.  Oh well, as long as it keeps them off our streets...

Same scammers - different number.  Who would hire such idiots from a cold call?

Last week the same thing. I do not live in a house. I rent a room out of a house with 3 other old men.

My call blocker says they just called.  Nomorobo got em.  They would not have made it past our white list even if Nomorobo didn't gas those turds .

I wish I could block the 888 area code, but Chase bank calls using that area code to verify questionable credit card purchases as we are  on fraud watch.  

Anyways, I got a good chuckle seeing that number.  888 888-1111--Really?

To the caller above me:  You do have a viable defense.  I went to a "white list" system, where my call blocker only allows numbers I program into it to ring through to our phone system.  All other calls (that made it by Nomorobo) get shunted to a dedicated answering machine.  Our home phone only rings for approved callers.  Anyone we might have missed has the opportunity to leave a message on the second answering machine and with a couple button pushes on the blocker, they are added to the white list and will ring through next time.  We love it!

Just had my regular call from these morons.  I didn't answer, I never will.  Ignore, block, report - that is our only defense.

I decided to make it cost the caller, so I just keep calling this number over and over again.  Whenever any of these telemarketers call, I try to keep them on the phone as long as possible and waste their time, so they can't call someone else.  If enough people waste their time so they can't keep calling others, eventually maybe they will just go out of business or the callers will get fired for not making enough calls

We got calls from this number several times. Sound like nuisance calls.

4/18 11:17 PDT One of these years they'll give up.  Just hope it's sooner rather than later.

I don't answer unknown callers, but they keep trying.  This was from 888-888-1111 at 10:15 am.  Just looking at the weird number I knew it was another scammer.  I've reported these creeps to everyone possible: police, DNC list, FTC.  It is a waste of my time.  They're no help at all so I no longer bother to report them.

They have called a few times, never leave messages.  This toll free number is so spoofed looking its a dead giveaway as a scam!   Plus I no longer answer toll free calls, even if they are legit, 90+% are scam calls these days.    

Added area code 888 to my call blocker blacklist.

They called at  3:17 PM PST.  Nobody on the line.  Called again at 3:33 PM.  Nobody on the line.  Certain it's one of those scam contractor calls.

Called today. Left no message. Added the number to call block list on new Panasonic phone. Panasonic model KX-TG6841 blocks up to 250 numbers. Used to get many calls per day but now the telemarketers are down to 2 or 3.

3/31 Hey Vashti, it seems we continue to be targets for these creeps.  You and I keep getting calls from the same numbers so we must have had something done by a co. that sold their list to others.  If you have the opportunity, maybe you, too, can take advantage of NOMOROBO.  At least, the phone only rings once if the caller is robotic, but, unfortunately, not all providers recognize and allow the use.

3/31 15:03 PDT  Obviously robotic call since only rang once.  Once more, NOMOROBO appears to be effective.  I first reported this number in August, last year.  Why can we consumers not stop these intrusions?

These losers have called us at least 6 times with a different number (Unknown Caller) I wish these people would be put in the slammer for harassing phone calls. I'm tired of this crap.

they called me 3 times today 03 18 2014 within 15 minutes. I was expecting a call from a contractor with a 888 number and thought it was them. I did not answer the last call. i redialed the second call and got some message about religion
