It started by calling my father who is pushing 80 and making him angry and upset!  He called me and gave me the information!  Then when I called him back he was rude!  When we got deeper into the conversation, I said you know what?  If you have a problem with me, why not call me?  You call my 80 year old father who failing health?  What kind of business are you running!  I haven't heard anything from them after I politely hung up until today!  Get it through your head, I would rather go to court then deal with you.

Don't pay them, don't deal with them.  Here's what you do:  just get the jack*** on the other talking, and then -- wait for the attitude -- tell them nicely that you are recording the conversation.  They will more than likely hang up.  If they don't just ask them to Validate that debt . . . they won't, because they can't.

I was called by someone named Danielle representing Brady and Caruso the number was 716-696-6144 and the call back was 1-888-211-0010. They said I had a debt of over $1700.00 but would not tell me the details of what company the debt represented and has threatened legal action and even stated a case  in my county and state I have no knowledge of. Danielle feigned that she did not have the info at hand and would get back to me, she was rude and threatening and said I better contact her in 24 hrs. RIGHT!!! She did have some personal info on me last 4 of my SSN and address. These people seem to be, and must be scam artists, if it walks like a duck and smells like a duck?????

call came from 888-211-0010 Brady & Caruso, Mr Rice or Right, something like that - called my 80 yr old father and threatened him saying my husband would be issued summons to go to court.....I knew something was not right, then I goggle it the company....found all this information on the scam....there people should be ashamed of themselves!!!

These pricks have been calling since October.  They're calling on a person I know, who they claim owes on an old account -- over 8 years ? that, she never had.  I know for a fact that she doesn't, as we've done all the proper credit bureau research.  And, this debt, if hers, is out of statute anyway, so they're SOL on the SOL.

However, they now call me on a regular basis.  I've tried to record their calls, but the cowards just hang up (b/c every word out of their mouths is a violation of FDCA).  I've filed complaints so far with the CA AG, FTC, San Diego DA, BBB, and have my lawyer working on a way to try and sue these ball lickers for what ever we can get.  I'd personally prefer to just beat the crap out one of 'em, but you know how the laws looks at that kind of behavior.  Unfortunately, the law has cut too much slack to scumbags of this order.  

I've also sent a general email to everyone in my company re: Brady and Caruso/MAZE and whatever other name they want to try and use.  I've suggested that any call to anyone at our company be directed to the SDPD.  And since I have some pretty good connections in law enforcement and in the SD Justice Dept, I plan to pursue these monkeys as aggressively as they have pursued others -- without mercy.

these people are brady and caruso.They are scumbags who try to pray on people by putting fake items on credit reports and threatening people with taking everything that they own.They are scam artists.Most of the time if you answer the phone they will give you a case # and say they will see you in court--wrong.Check your credit report(I did and found crap that they put on it)I was able to get rid of it with the help of my credit union who I had been doing buisness with for 25years.Most of the time if you have been deliquent at sometime(and most of us have,but that does not make us crooks)in life with payments check the statute of limitations in your state. That is one good way to get ride of these punks.

Called my parents house. Left a message for me to call back immediately. That it was in regards to a legal matter that needed to be handled in my county of residence. Blocked my number and called the number left on the voice mail, ext 316103016. Name on their auto answer was Brady & Caruso. No one answered I was routed to a voice mail for Danielle.

I have gotten repeated computer generated phone calls from this number.  I called the number back and they were very rude and obusive.  They asked for identifying information and I told them I would not give anything like that to someone I did not know.  When they told me more of who they were looking for I told them that they had the wrong person.  She said they would continue calling me until I identified myself to them.  At this point she hung up on me.  I called and reported the harrassment to my local police department.  I am currently investigating whether I can block calls from this number.

I just got the exact same call... threatening me about some Bank of Carmen credit card from 7 years ago that i never heard of. threats about freezing accounts. very rude and disrespectful

I got a call from "Janine" at this same number today and they threatened judgements, liens, etc. She said that if I didn't give them some money today by 4 pm, they would being filing suit or something "legal" and wanted me to give her two post-dated checks until I received my tax refund and then I would HAVE to pay the full amount owed in full with my tax money. She knew the last four of my SSN, my current address as well as previous addresses and said they ran me through Chexsystems to verify that I have checking information.

The person said she represented King county and warned of King County (WA) emergency and that need to get ahold of a person and we should contact them immediately.
The person stated our number had been left.
The person stated that the numbers for other neighbors had been left as well.
The name given was Miss Charlene Price.
When I asked for authentification of who she was and her position and her local phone number and her King County WA address, she became very angry and gave various offensive statements.  She also said the conversation was being recorded and I said "thank goodness!".
Sounds like they are helping their fraud game by phoning neighbors to make it seem more of an emergency.

I received a call today and didn't answer it since it showed as "private number".  They left a message and it was from Robert Schmidt with a case number and the phone number 888-899-7770 ext 328 and that I should take this as my final notice before formal litigation would be started against me in my county.  I called him back and verified my name and asked me if I recognized my address and if these were the four digits of my SSN.  I asked him what this was in reference to and he informed me I should already know since I had received several notices by mail and that a summons was being prepared for me.  I asked him what loan we were talking about and what the amount was.  He informed me it was over $10,000 and they were going to add $2500 for legal fees and then court costs.  When I asked for written clarification of the matter he asked for my fax number and when I told him I didn't have one he became VERY belligerant and asked me if I expected him to believe that someone would steal my identity to get a loan and pay on it for 3 yrs and then just stop.  I told him I was not discussing anything with him without something in writing and he told me that he was not going to argue with me and how were we going to resolve this issue.  I told him to send me something in writing and I would then have my attorney contact him.  He continued to yell and I hung up the phone.

Had a message on my machine from Gordan Marks @ 888-889-7770 ex 307. Said he was the director of fraud prevention with Brady and Caruso. Said he needed to speak to me or my attorney about a case I was a defendant on in my home county or a summons would be sent to my place of business and home.  He left a case number which I looked up on the county website and could not find the case.  Googled the number and found this info.  Thanks for sharing this info.

So I got a call last nite from a Deborah calling me from this place Brady and Caruso...I was so scared by the message that I wrote the info down wrong. so i called the # back from my caller ID and nothing..no vmail nothing, Funny enough my husband got home today to another vmail stating she said called her back last night, and honey please call me to get this cleared up..and she has some kind of court docs filed in SF County for me right in front of her. You don't have a vmail set up in your office but you went and looked at all the calls you missed on the caller id? Wow...then I googled them and found all of this. Thanks to all of you whom posted this info, I am so thankful! I was so upset that I was trying anyway to get a number to contact her back!!!

In a telephone scam new to the area, a Crawford County woman was told an arrest warrant would be served on her on July 22, but she could avoid arrest by electronically paying an unspecified amount of cash up front, Fort Smith attorney Chip Sexton said.

Sexton, representing Arkansas Consumer Advocates, issued a news release Thursday, aimed at warning the public of the phishing/pretexting scam. The purpose of the scam is to dupe the individual into revealing her confidential information to the caller, he said.

According to the Arkansas Attorney General?s Office, in telephone and e-mail phishing or pretexting scams, identity thieves pose as legitimate companies and ask their victims to verify information such as their Social Security numbers and bank or credit account numbers.

Sexton said in a voice mail, the Crawford County woman?s caller identified himself as Steven Fairchild with Crawford Warrant Services. The caller said the warrant was for failure to appear in Van Buren Municipal Court 17 months ago, Sexton said. The caller provided her a phone number, (866) 345-4590, through which she could make payment arrangements.

Sexton said the woman, a single mother of three children, worried about who would care for her children if she was jailed and called him. He said she has no outstanding warrants.

Already prevalent nationwide, the scam works because many people are so distressed by the thought of being arrested, that they provide the requested personal information, Sexton said. In the case of the elderly, that worry and stress could cause health problems, he said.

Sexton said Arkansas Consumer Advocates called the number given the woman and was told it had reached the New York-based Kingman Cole Law Firm. When the group asked for specific information about its attorneys, the alleged law firm employee refused to provide it and hung up, Sexton said.

Sexton said no such law firm exists in the Buffalo area, and when the advocates called the Attorney General?s Office, they found it knew of the scam. He said the Attorney General?s Office advises anyone receiving a similar call to hang up and not provide the caller any confidential information.

Fort Smith Police Sgt. Jarrard Copeland said people who have already received such calls should report it to their local law enforcement agency.

An online search for Kingman Cole elicits numerous Web sites warning about the company, including an http://800notes.com bulletin board where victims and almost-victims detailed several variants of the scam using different versions of the Kingman Cole name.

According to the Web site, call variations include callers representing themselves as debt collectors, warrant servers, attorneys, detectives and court representatives.

Sexton said Arkansas Consumer Advocates plans to file a lawsuit on the Crawford County woman?s behalf.

This is still happening, my husband came home last night telling me that Janell Simms @888.889.7770 ex 320 called him telling him he was going to jail if he didn't make arrangements to pay for a credit card issued in 2003. He told her that he didn't know anything about this, she told him that he recieved a letter in the mail and because he didn't call them that now there is a case against him. Janell had all of his credit history in front of her, telling him every detail of his credit. He was rattled at this and agreed to make payments. When he told me this I told him he didn't have a credit card at that time. So I looked up the number and found this site. Needless to say I closed the checking account today! Will go to the local police with this.

Having the same issue, they have called every relative I have...saying they are suing me. LOL....for what? They have a case number and the lady on the phone Diane is who she said she was today at ext. 319...Gee...I have to admit I thought about it for a while but when she could not even pronounce the County she had filed this lawsuit in I knew she was full of it! I wish there was a way to get them to quit calling me and all my relatives. I have had clear credit for over 9 years and know there are no outstanding debts they can collect from me that are not beyond the statute of limitations. How do companies get away with this? I have never received a letter in the mail from anyone trying to clollect a debt how can they just call and say there is one? Do they really try to get people to pay them over the phone for bogus debts? Is this really a scam?

Received a call from Gordon Marks at 888-889-7770 x307. He threatend to have me arrested and said the authorities had already been to my house several times. I was afraid so I gave him 2 post dated checks in the amount owed. Then felt uneasy about it. Called my attorney and the police department. HUGE SCAM PEOPLE!! Called the bank and had those checks cancelled and now have to change bank accounts. He has called me, my work, my mother and my ex-mother and father-in-law. Needless to say, my attorney has agreed to take the case. If people like this keep calling you, record all conversations!!!! It makes a difference and you can do it without their permission.

Got a message on my machine from a man identifying himself as Gordon Marks from Brady and Caruso Attorney at Law.  Stating that I had a Docket County Court Case #... and I was to call him at the 888-889-7770 x 307 number to discuss the case.  This voice of Gordon Marks was VERY intimidating and forceful.  I have not received any court papers from the County and no attorneys letters in the mail.  I decided to look up this phone number on the internet. Glad I did.

Robert Schmidt called my job, and left amessage with my boss... I called him back, he stated he was a lawyer and was acussing me of "criminal fraud".  At first I was trying to work with him to find out was this was in referrence to but he told me my financials were irrelevant to him. I told him I would have my lawyer contact him and he started threatening me, with criminal charges, told me he would have the police at my job in the morning with papers... he was threatening my house, bank accounts, and even my job.
This was in referrence to an account he told me he could prove was mine and I have no recolection of.  All of the phone calls have been recorded on my phone line at work.
