my husband and I have been getting message from this number also and there is also another messsage before this one. I have tried calling but no luck.
David 2011-06-06 21:06:08 Unknown
I also have gotten this text message and have received three other similar messages previously. When I call the 8888906192 number it wants me to enter my 16 digit number. I have no banking relationship with this entity and Sprint tells me they think that I have one, but I don't. Don't know how to contact. Google gives me a firstcity.com but not sure it is the same as alerts@firstcity.com.

ME TOO, EVERY MONTH I GET THE SAME TEXT
mac 2011-06-06 21:06:08 Unknown
It's a phishing scam. They send these trying to get you to submit your credit card or account numbers.
If you ever get a message from your bank, call back at the customer service number you've used in the past or visit a bank location.

DON'T CALL IT, THEY ARE JUST TRYING TO GET YOUR PERSONAL INFO!
I HAVE SENT A MESSAGE TO THE COMPANY OF THE CELL PHONE THAT THEY ARE COMING FROM

It is a scam/fraud. They have texted both our phones, stating that our Rockwood Bank card has been stolen and to call them immediately.

Same thing here in Saint Louis. Even people that have texting blocked are getting this text message. And yes you will be charged for those messages. I have to argue evrymonth to get credit for all our phone numbers.

I also recieved a txt message from this number that said my Credit Union debit card had been reported stolen and was suspended. They wanted me to call this number.

Same as most of the other post's. From First City CU stating our debit card was reported stolen. Never heard of them, nor do we have a debit card.
When we first starting receiving these text message's, we knew Sprint had to be involved, thought an employee might have sold our number's. After getting our bill from Sprint, we were charged for these messages!! Suggest you all check your bill carefully.
Now, I'm suspicious Sprint could possibly be involved.
I called Sprint to tell them I was not paying for these text message's, it's 15 cents here 19 cents there, my total was $6.00! Think how much money Sprint makes off of these text messages if we just pay the bill without checking.
I was told by Sprint these numbers would be blocked.

Here in Houston Too. Sounds like this is a sprint nextel thing all our employees with those services are getting the repeated texts. No one with any other service is reporting issues. Has anyone contacted sprint to see what they can do about these fraudulent actors?
jj 2009-08-31 21:23:17 Unknown
I've been getting about 3 a day from these punks. I have sprint. Did sprint sale the numbers to these scam artists?
David 2009-08-31 21:05:09 Unknown
Gotten the same in SF. Gotta say not having any good contact info is really lousy behaviour. Wasting my minutes with their daily crap.
