I received a text message saying my atm card had been suspended. They said I had to call 1-888-894-7718 to fix problem.

I recieved many messages from no. that my ATM card is suspended and I need to call the number to reactivat it. I dont know this bank at all and I did not respond to the messages.

My text message read-- it was coming from Westbury Bank. I looked it up-- nothing... I don't have an account with them either. I did try and call this number-- of course all their circuits were busy...

I recieved a text from Franklin today. I called Franklin Bank (in Michigan) and reported it to them.  They are NOT connected, it IS pfishing.  They said that the 512 area code is getting swamped by these calls, texts, and e-mails.

I recieved a text saying my Debit card was deactivated from TIC FCU. I had an account with them 2 years ago. So i called back just to see and it asked for my debit card number, expiration date and pin! I knew from the start it was a scam but i wanted to see how far it was going. I will call the bank tomorrow and let them know.

This is getting out of hand. The fist text was in mid January and now yesterday I received 2 with in 6 hours stating the same thing?My ATM card is suspended and that I need to contact Franklin Bank at 888-894-7718...and 512-366-7959? I have not called them; however, I did call my bank to make sure my accounts were in order.

They called my house at 11:30 last night and texted my husband today at 8:00. Very strange!!!

Yeah, right, like the bank is going to text me.  Half curious to find out how much cash i have in the alleged account in a bank we do not have in town . . .

Rec'd text messages on my cell, and wifes cell telling us our Franklin Bank ATM card needed to be reactivated. I checked on Franklin Bank some time ago when these were coming through. I read in the paper, Franklin Bank in Houston was in receivership. It's a HOAX anyway. Burning up my text time on the phones, sucks!

I just called and gave them all my info before I looked on here. Luckily or me, I only have a couple thousand dollars in that account. these people are probably looking for someone with a high balance.

I just recieved that text about Franklin card...we don't have an account with Franklin...then two minutes later..my husbands cell went off...same thing...such scammers...not even responding...they don't need my information....out to be a law!

Yeah! They almost had me. I activated a new card earlier today, and this evening even before I had a chance to use my new card, I got an sms that reads: ALERT/This is an automated message from Franklin Bank. Your ATM card has been suspended. To reactivate call urgent at 888-894-7718 from : "5000" The card that I did activate is not with Franklin Bank and I do not have nor do I want anything to do with "Franklin Bank". Watch out 512 these so called "phishing bandits" are getting desperate. P.S: Your Real Bank...."WOULD NEVER DO THIS!!"

I just got a text too. I have no account with this bank and thought it sounded like a phishing scam. I checked the banks website and sure enough the bank is warning about phishing scam being perpetrated in their name.
