Dead air on other end. Got fast busy. If you are going to call, at least have the decency
to SPEAK FFS

It turns out to be an organization trying to sign you up for The Movie Network (TMN) as part of your Bell Satellite service.
They aren't the folks at Bell Satellite service but they know everything about your Bell service, including you name, your programming and even your PIN! When I called Bell Satellite, therep told me that this promotion was in effect and that the callers were more aggressive that Bell's own reps and could offer a better deal on TMN that Bell could.

This number called me at 2:13 pm and I let it go to voice mail. I tried calling it back at 3:55 the same afternoon and got a recording saying that the number is no longer in service...hmmmm, seems fishy.

While the DNC registry doesn't apply to companies you've done business with in the past 6 months, companies are still required by law to maintain internal do not call lists. If I get another call from Bell I'll cancel the remaining pathetic services I still have with them. (by pathetic, I mean an internet service that drops its connection more in one day than my previous Rogers service did in 5 years)

They phoned 9 times this Saturday morning. My phone automatically hangs up on this number. Why can't they figure out I don't want to deal with them?

I KEEP GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER DURING THE DAY WEEK DAYS WHILE I AM AT WORK
ANYONE KNOW WHO THEY ARE
Robert Stein 2014-05-01 21:27:23 Unknown
When you register on the National DNCL, you will receive fewer telemarketing calls, but there are some exceptions including:
-registered charities
-political parties and candidates
-opinion polling firms or market research firms conducting surveys
-newspapers calling to sell a subscription
-organizations that have a business relationship with you, for example:
you?ve done business with the organization in the last 18 months
you?ve inquired about the organization's products or services in the last 6 months
Taken from www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/faqs-eng#an_link01 The Do Not Call List website. If you are a client of Bell Canada, then they are exempt from these calls.

I just tell them to have solitary sex and travel- in a bit more crude lingo- the one this afternoon got a bit upset at that :-)
Joanne 2014-04-24 22:45:34 Unknown
I don't want to receive any more calls from this number.
Pacificsue 2014-04-06 16:23:15 Unknown
It's Bell Canada, they can ignore the "do not call list"
Krystal 2014-04-04 00:15:18 Unknown
If you go to the crtc site...through google...then you can register your number on the national do not call list. I have recently done this and the calls have stopped.

I cant seem to get rid of these calls mad to me. So as I am a turkey hunter I have many annoying turkey calls that I use. I have done this a few times. What I do is when I see the number I use my screaming hawk call. It is ear piercing high pitch. I wait until some one says something and then I blow it into the phone. I used it a few times, but they still persist on calling, even if it doesn't stop them from calling they will at least have a ringing head.
bell employee 2014-03-19 22:01:03 Unknown
when was this? because the only people we call are those who already have our services and therefore we are allowed to contact them unless they are placed on our internal DNC

Correction: any company you've EVER had dealings with is allowed to call.
Any company located offshore is allowed to call.
The DNC list is a joke!!
ROY 2014-02-26 18:07:03 Unknown
STOP CALLING
Savanna 2014-02-25 17:36:25 Unknown
Bubba............I have the same Panasonic handsets with the answering machine.
I do the exact same thing you do, minus the foghorn (nice touch). I wish you could
hold more blocked calls, however, I go through my list every 6 months or so
and eliminate the ones NOT recognized as recent callers. It works really great.....
this should be a standard feature on all phones.
William clowes 2014-02-06 19:26:24 Unknown
Stop calling my cell phone. Period!
Foleyetguy 2014-01-11 20:23:01 Unknown
Calls several timres a day. Display indicates "BELL CANADA". No one there on the one occasion when I chose to answer. Getting to be a real nuisance!

I have been getting 5 calls a day from this number. Girl caller asked if I would like to hear about Bell promotional offers. I asked if she would like a spanking. She said, no. I said my answer is the same. They have stopped calling me now.
Joel Parody 2013-12-09 16:22:53 Unknown
Just thought I'd let you all know. I no longer get anymore calls from this number and several others who kept calling me. I've a feeling that the whistle blowing does something to disable those pestering numbers.
Callarama 2013-12-07 00:19:16 Unknown
Sykes doesn't list their phone number on their website, but the number at their Tampa office is 813-274-1000. There's a dial by name directory, with one Smith, and two Jones if you want to talk to a real person. Are they people that can help? Maybe, maybe not. Get to a real person, demand answers. Don't like the answer? Call again. And again. And again. I feel like they'll be a little more motivated to help with every call, even if that's not their job.

Bell Canada TV offers - not sure if this is real.
Trotts 2013-12-04 19:58:34 Unknown
My gawd, I have Bell Sat, and I certainly do not pay that much, I think its around $55 a month before taxes and $8 bundle discount.
U should look at sharing ur service with another family member or friend and split the cost, I am looking into sharing with mother-in-law, an for less than $15 more a month for the extra reciever an Dish, is actually cheaper when u split the cost.
Joel Parody 2013-11-30 22:44:03 Unknown
That number has been calling me for a week. Never anybody there. Now I doing the same thing that I did to some other numbers that kept pestering me. Kept a high pitch whistle beside the phone. Let the answering machine pick up and waited for the beep to speak, instead I blew the whistle several time/ It only took a day or before they stopped calling. This one is a new number and I will deliver the same treatment until they stop calling. Guess they don't like my whistle. Here's One for the good guys.

Oh, and I supposes Senators and Un-elected (or even elected) Politicians are Exempt from the rules the rest of us plebes have to suffer.
It is not a legitimate call when I am on Bell Canada's "Internal Do Not Call List" for Telemarketing Purposes.
So, you know of Sykes from Tampa FL for 10 years, yet they merged and bought the assets of ICT in 2009. The merged company closed up the operation in Newtown PA, and those jobs disappeared with the merger completion.
Hmm. So much for being a former ICT staffer in Newtown PA then.
No wonder Bell's retention figures are abysmal.
Andy 2013-11-27 21:36:08 Unknown
Legitimate Bell Canada call, by Sykes, which is a legitimate call centre company I have known for more than a decade.
Reply-to-sandi 2013-11-27 19:30:22 Unknown
Hi Sandi; I also received a call from this number. It's an up-sell telemarketing call from Bell ExpressVu. If you are a current Bell ExpressVu Customer, you would not get this call.
So, Its Bell Canada Not following their own 'Do Not Call List' ,and calling current and previous customers who they wish to Up-Sell their TV Bundle prior to the change of 'a-la-carte' TV pricing in Canada, Due 1st Quarter 2014.
You can call Bell Canada, but it would be kind of pointless, because now you know that they will not respect your request not to be tele-marketed. You Could call the CRTC and confirm you are on the DNC list. But again, since you are a former (Less than 18 months ago) customer , they still can call for 18 more months after you cancel all services. However, if you WRITE a LETTER to your MP, and indicate your displeasure at how things have turned, you might get a better overall result. (it will take a long time, but every letter counts).
Hope this helps, and you get some peace.
