Received a call.

caller contacted my son on his cell phone and stated they needed to get ahold of me and gave him my name and the last four digits of my social. told him there was a complaint about my social security number and I needed to get ahold of them asap to resolve the complaint.  the number they gave to call back on is 888-865-7116 but they blocked their number for caller id to prevent me presumably from knowing who is calling. basically trying to hide their actual identification

Actually, you probably owe a debt.  It's a collections agency.  The fact is, if you don't pay it and avoid it, they will sue... They kept me out of court.. Ask for Paul oneal.. He is respectful honest and helpful.

Bull Shi* they call and harass for bills but they can't sue for a bill you owe someone else. This is a gimmick being used to make you think this is gonna happen.

A "Melissa Jenkins" called from this number 888-895-8613 and mumbled when it came to her saying what "company" she was from. She said I and/or my attorney had one day to contact her or I'd be going to court for whatever case number she was calling with. I had similar calls the year before about some debt thats already been paid. If you've paid a debt or after its been so long, they cant call you and ask you for the money again. BUT if you reply and make an arrangement to pay it off, they have you recorded and it can hold up in court. Be careful. Dont reply. Its a debt collection agency with low numbers with the BBB and they have to go through the same process as anyone else!

Recieved a call from these people ccf & assoc (mike brently)or something like that these guys are scammers. dont give them any info and do not return thier calls!!!!!!!

This guy called my cell phone telling me I was a person of interest in a case concerning my brother in law. Odd much? Don't have a clue how they got my phone number. Thanks for the post so I can tell the guy to F*@! off!!!

They changed their number. It's 1 888 895 8613 now.

Their calling me and trying to scare my husband into paying them over $500 for a $200 loan he borrowed AND PAID BACK back in '06. If this happened in '06, my husband and I didn't meet until '07, why is my cell phone the home number they have?
I think it's just a BS scare tactic..and I'm not going to let him scare my family like that. We have a newborn son to worry about. They wanna take us to court..bring up some proof then.

The guy called and said he was Mr. Copelli and he had a file turned into his office and it was important that I called him back or they would take the case and send it to my county courthouse for pursuance of me.  But I need to call them back or else I may be doing jail time.  He had the nerve to leave an extension to top it off!!!  These are collectors trying to pose as law offices to scare you with the thought of going to jail.  Read up on your laws and get familiar with what is possible and what is not, so you can talk S%&t back to them and get them to back off.
