Look, Are You Stupid. It's not people who owe money that keeps these scum-suckers alive. It's a very poor attitude toward other human beings. There is absolutely no respect anymore for any person you don't know.. and most of the last couple generations have no respect for themselves either. To put it point blank, no one gives a rats behind about other people anymore. That keeps these scum-suckers going. Plus the fact that our Senators would rather go after our sports heroes than cyber thieves anyway. Just not the same country I went southeast Asia for.........

Just because you owe someone money doesn't mean other people do. The few of you that do have debts are what keep these liars & thieves in business! The rest of us are just being preyed upon...99% of their business is a scam & if the rest of you would pay what you owe they would be forced out of business.  Without legit people to stalk, they would not have the access needed to stalk people with no debts just because they have the same name, a similar name or a number and/or address that used to belong to someone who owed. And, for the record these people are in the habit of fabricating debts and using threats to collect money from people who are too stupid & too scared by the threats to do anything but pay bills that are not theirs! Even if you owe money, just call the police on these a**holes. The more reports the better. Then pay thr people you owe directly. It is that simple! If they cannot collect, they have no job!

NCO Financial collects on unpaid Illinois Tollway (like if you go through iPass lane and don't pay online).

I owe them a few bucks and they have called me and sent me a letter. Not scammers - pay your toll fines!

Your suggestion to ignor them and they will go away is not 100% accurate. We have been getting calls from this number for someone unknown and it is going on year 5 or 6 now.

Let your answering device screen ALL of your calls and NEVER respond to these losers, no matter what they're claiming to be. This has nothing to do with debt collection. These shysters are amassing lists of valid phone numbers for purposes unknown, and if you reply to the messages they leave, you're playing right into their hands, not to mention getting abused by the jerks they suggest you contact (the names will vary, but you can bet it's always the same pieces of human sewage). Yes, it IS annoying, but eventually their auto-bots will quit calling. Don't count on the phone company to help you either.

Just for future reference, the BBB does not intervene into matters like this. All they do is advertise and otherwise promote their members. Here is the mission statement for them: http://www.streetdirectory.com/travel_guide/2 ... ess_bureau.html

If you can find anything anywhere that shows them pursuing thieves and weasels, please let me know and I will apologize for putting this out there.

Just because they dialed your phone number doesn't mean that you owe them any information about yourself. Tell them, if you must answer, that you only do business in writing and hang up.

I doubt if they are a collection agency. They are probably an identity theft operation that also sells a list of live numbers to other thieves. Do not answer your phone for these weasels. Your answering confirms that you have a live number, and even if they can't rob you of your identity, they can make a dollar or two selling your phone number to those unfortunate other thieves who don't have the means to own a robo-call app. Don't play their game. Now, on the other hand, if you want to screw with them, give them totally bogus information as answers to their questions and think about how smart they believe they are and how pissed they will be when they find out you outwitted them. Try to get an account number for mailing them a money gram. Tell them you don't have any credit cards because your credit is so bad. Offer $1500 dollars to get their greed up. Say you just got your tax refund back, and you want this heat off you and so you'll send it to them if it will settle the account. Let me know what happens. BTW, I researched one of these operations, as they had a big fancy ad on the net showing their office paneled in walnut, mahogany, or some other luxurious dark wood. In reality, according to property records where their address was located, it was a 3 bedroom ranch home in a suburb. It only had one bath. Not even one and a half baths. How's that for luxury office?

Yeah, good luck with that.  If that route actually worked, none of these postings would have been necessary the last 5 years.

Okay, listen up..... Here is the first rule of not answering the phone when you don't know who it is: DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE!! That is why you have caller ID in the first place, so let it do its job, and when you don't know who is calling you, DO NOT ANSWER!  You also probably have an answering machine, so let them leave a message, and then, (here comes the second rule) DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!!  If it's truly someone you DO know, then by all means, return the call, but why would you let a maniac into your home and then complain you got stabbed??  I have rigged my answer machine (by letting it fill up) so that NO ONE can leave a message. This way, the maniacs cannot leave a message ordering me to return a call about a debt I don't owe. All my debt was discharged over 10 years ago in federal bankruptcy court, but I continue to get calls daily from the buyers of junk/discharged debt, which they purchase for pennies on the dollar, hoping to get something out of me. Over the years I've had calls from at least 8 different "collectors", and none has ever sent me a letter about a "debt" I owe, because my debt was discharged and I DON"T owe anything. If I see on my caller ID a call from a friend, I will call them back, or they can call my cell to reach me. Once you answer, you will get into an argument, and they will try to get you to re-set the clock on your old debt, which will happen if you send them anything, even if the debt was discharged.  BEWARE!!  When the phone rings and you don't know who it is, walk away.  You cannot have a real conversation will alien life-forms and expect to win.

goto FCC.GOV and file a complaint. If they are not the federal agency they should have a link to file a complaint or you can google who to file a complaint with.

The beat thing that could happen to you would be to get them recorded using profanity or threatining to call the cops on you or put you in jail. If your really lucky they will make a death threat. Those are all reason to call a very good attorney who will take the case free of charge because you could literally win thousands from in a simple court case.

GOOD LUCK! :-)

Tired of these phone calls from 888-899-4780 and 800-734-4667.  I do not know these people and I don't want to know them. Something need to be done. AND NOW!  Somebody is not doing their JOB!!!  Phone companys disconnect their line. Use an 800 number "PLEASE". BBB (Better Business Bureau) do something.  City, County or State you need to pull their business license.

Left message on my mobile number instructing me they were a debt collection agency & any information I gave them would be used for that purpose. Left a callback number (888-899-4780), a callback name (Eric Jones), and a reference number (ZZ####).

Haven't received any past due notices in the mail on any bills & credit report does not reflect any past due balances, so either a) they're looking for the wrong person, or b) it's a scam.
