Getting calls from this number. Called me on my job. They need to stop.

This number keeps trying to reach me at work! Who are these people and how do they know where I work??

888-900-9749 keeps calling my Job for different random people that have never worked here. When I called the number back to let them know that there is no one here with that name. She could'nt pull up our number so we could'nt stop the phone calls. I have called them to stop the calls about 3 times now. And weeks later they seem to call  back with a different name.

You guys are too serious!  Do what I do and keep them on the phone as long as possible.  I ask them to spell their name a bunch of times, breathe heavy, ask them to repeat themselves over and over.  I make up crazy stories and keep talking over them until they give up and hang up on me.  I tell them I'll pay in person and that I only deal in one dollar bills.  Just tell them the person that they're looking for is in the bathroom dropping a duce and by the smell of it, they're going to be in there a while.  I just mess with them and have a laugh about it.  They call my phone looking for someone who had the # before me.  This guy must have been a scumbag because everyone is looking for him.

This number is supposedly from Cawley & Bergman Attorney at Law looking for someone that I told was not ever at this location. A Mr. Martin got very agitated when I told him not to call me and especially not to call my mother in law (which he did after I talked to him the 1st time).Very rude people that wont stop calling, I'm going to report them to the BBB.

I spoke with a rep  from your collections office.   I advised I am the person you are requesting but I have been thru Citibank Lawyer, one other Lawyer's office and another collection office before you.  I sent them my personal letters to the company, the court's letter for not being prosecuted because of the time frame and why this bill thru my letters it was not paid or paid on.  I don't dispute the bill, but the company would not come up with a workable situation and now I can't pay because I don't have the funds especially since all they have done is add fees and interest to the amount.  If you cannot send me your address so that something can be sent to you, please don't call me at 813-754-1096.  I need your address for my lawyer friend, Ted.

I am getting calls from this # and do not even know the person they are looking for.

A guy calling himself "Mr. Johnson" with Cawley & Bergman Law Offices called and left 888-900-9749 as a call back number in a voice message. Hope he doesn't hold his breath waiting on me to call back.

Received a couple of calls from these guy stating they were a law firm of Cally and Burkman.   When will they learn that Law Firms will send a letter on Letterhead via certified mail and not call on the phone

I get two or three calls a week on my answering machine from 888-900-9749 saying that they're looking for "Linzey Mendel" or something like that.  I have called the number back to tell them to STOP CALLING MY HOME PHONE NUMBER because I am NOT Linzey Mendel nor have I ever HEARD of Linzey Mendel, but apparently they don't care about having accurate information.  How do I get these calls to stop???  Isn't it illegal to continue to phone after being told to stop???

I continually receive cell phone calls from this supposedly law firm....but, they are trying to contact another member of my family.  They insist my number was given to them, but my family member absolutely did not give them my number.
I want this nonsense to stop.

received call re: "attempt to collect a debt." all debts previously discharged through bankruptcy. informed caller of same. told them not to call again.  another call will result in lawsuit. notified my attorney.

These people keep calling me. I have answered on many occasions and i get the same message, please wait on hold for the next representative. I also get messages that say... if this is not So and so please press 1, so i do and it puts me on hold for another rep to update info.. i actually waited on hold one day and told them the person they are trying to reach is not anyone i know about and they need to take me number off their list... they said they would but i keep getting calls. now im getting vm on my phone from a debbie brown from attrny kelly law firm. the number that calls me is 716-635-9550, and the number she says to call back is 1888-900-9749 exn 7566.. they never actually say what they are calling about.. i have filed bankruptcy and no one should be calling me reguarding any bills!

They started calling my house last week and leaving a message for someone with the same last name as us (we have a VERY common last name) and a name with the same first initial as one of us.

I have called both the number they are calling from and the 888 number to tell them they have the wrong number for the person they are trying to reach and they keep calling! I have left numerous messages.

Is this legal?

question, have they ever really done anything??? Such as sueing you?

Thias number keeps calling me at work{School).  Leaves  message to call ext 7556 Attorney Cawley's secretary - Ms Gilcrest.  Hasn't been able to reach me at home- checking line for troble.

called for someone who hasn't been at this number for at least 7 years.

These people have started calling my office # now and are very rude.  God bless caller ID.  They gave the toll free # 888-900-9749, but the caller ID shows "Cawley Bergmann" at 716-635-9550.  Definitely won't be calling these people back.

These people keep calling for my father who died several years ago.  How can i stop them?

I keep getting calls from this Bronson & Migliaccio for somebody I don't know. I called them back the let them know and the guy was such an ahole. Told me to make sure I got complete information next time!

Got numberous auto calls for collection against someone other than myself....told to hang up if that's the case....listened anyway to get a call back number....caled Crowley & Berman attorneys supposedly at 888-900-9749....had them check name and number and after the person misunderstood the number 4 times (even though he located the name that the auto dialer had said) he REFUSED to take care of removing my number.....became rude and beligerant....

keep getting calls from this number (sometime 3 a day) looking for Erin Bertina..I have told them Erin Bertina has never worked at my office, and stop calling me at my office and remove from their database.

As I was trying to explain to the "VERY RUDE" JERK that answered the phone yesterday and today, but he kept interrupting me and would not let me get a word in, we do not take calls from bill collectors for the employees, per the boss man. You have to call them on their time and not ours, which will be after 4:30 pm eastern time. If you don't have their phone number, that's too bad and not our problem. They need to quit calling here!

Thank you all for your posts!  I got the call from "Attorney Cawley's office" and for a person who does not live at our house to call 888-900-9749 x7562.  I will just ignore it, but I sure hope they don't keep calling.

I have been receiving calls from this company daily for the past couple of months.  I work graveyard and the call all hours of the day.  Usually 2 or more times in one day.  I answered the phone once and spoke with an individual which I informed him that the party they were trying to reach does not live at my home.  He said I would no longer receive any calls.  Well, I got a call that following morning and they have not stopped.  When I try to contact them with the number they leave, it is bogus.  What can I do???

Just received a phone message (I don't pick up if I don't know who is calling) from "law office."  The call was placed from 716-999-7587 but the message said for me to return the call immediately regarding a specified case number -- to call 888-900-9749 and even gave the extension 7587.

I am recently widowed ... wow ... calls like this are so horrible.  But anyway ... I have excellent credit and have attorney friends ... but the thing that gave away this call is that they did not have  MY name .... they were asking for someone else ..... so harassing.

who is behind this number?  Are they really Bergann Law firm?

Male caller speaks fast and leaves message on my voicemail stating that they are the Law firm of
"Cauley and Bergman". I told them once before I am not and do not know a Vanessa Pygmy and to
stop calling my cell phone number. They told me they would stop but obviously they are going at it again.
Time to see my lawyer.

The voice message said he was calling from Colleen Ann Bergman (I think - actually it sounded like Coleeann Bergman) and gave another phone number to respond to: 888 900 9749 ext 4221. This is a Bill collections. I did a reverse phone number search on White Pages and the indicated caller ID number of 716 635 9550 is listed as: Jonathan P Cawley 415 Lawrence Bell Dr Williamsville, NY 14221 (716) 635-9550 as a General Practice Law office.

However, when I did a reverse search on 800notes,com the number is listed as: Bronson & Migliaccio, LLP 415 Lawrence Bell Dr. Williamsville, NY 14221 888 900-9749   (888) 990-8100
