They keep calling me....Ben Miller! Very nasty! Called them back to get an address and fax number, they will not release it! They say they are from Global. I can not find any information on this company. Calling my lawyer tomorrow!

this number called me with a case number and said there were claims against me.  I will state I work for a federal agency and have an FBI file on myself...FYI there are no files against me.  I would know about it if there were.  This guy is a Eric Henry is full of crap!

It is a violation of FDCPA (Federal Debt Collection Protection Act) to leave a message on voice mail w/out
1. identifying themselves as debt collectors
2. allowing a pause for the person receiving the call to hang up if they are not the correct person
They also cannot call you more than once per day. You will have to call them and ask that they remove your number from the call list (you can state this even if you are the person that they are attempting to collect the debt from, it is called a cease and desist).
3. they may not make threats to sue if they do not intend to pursue a law suit - this is also an FDCPA violation.
If they are seeking the debt from you insist on debt validation, they can't pursue a law suit in Washington (most states have similar laws) without validating documents. If you don't receive at least on bililng statement OR application by mail from them then they will be unable to proceed with litigation.

I too got a call from global (888-901-6575). They were looking for my ex brother in-law. I called them and asked how they got my name and number. She said through Locators ????? Told her that I didn't know where he was and to stop calling. I also suggested she call God and he could probably help. She hung up on me!!! Just trying to help them out :)

To add to my post above, Mr. Davis had said that he'd see me in 45 minutes. So, after 45 minutes I decided to call him and ask where he was, that I was waiting for him. Well Jeez, guess what?? Called the number and it goes directly to a message that this number does not accept messages. Go figure. I really wanted to introduce myself to the gentleman. I hope for those that read these posts, don't let these a**holes intimidate you. There's absolutely nothing they can do. If you can block these numbers, do so. For me, it's fun to screw with them.

So I get a call from "John Davis" from 954-960-7864. Won't tell me who he works for. Only that he was hired by Global to serve me. He asked for my address so he could deliver the charges against me and I told him that he has it. He says he has multiple addresses to which I said drive to each one until you find me. Then I called Global. Now they say I owe an extra $200.00 unless I want to resolve this right now. I said go ahead and serve me and we'll settle this in court. Trust me, these people are just trying to shake you all down. Actually, I'd like to see "Mr. Davis " show up. We'd have a nice chat. Schmucks.

Thank you so much for the info, because I just got a call this morning, and  had hung up on him because he was saying to give him my address and place where I worked...that is what he had left on my voicemail! He said his name was John Walker!

I also received a threatening phone call/message today, from a Jimmy Smith calling from 954 960 7864 telling me to return call to 1888 901 6575  I was informed it was from a cash loan in 2009 and also to pay the amount owed today or processing officer would arrive at my house and I would owe an additional 200.00.
They didn't want to provide address or full name of operator. I then went to check cashing store and explained and was informed by the Manager that they're billing phone number is in Utah not California AND that it is like a non payment on credit card it will appear on credit and that they DO NOT CALL it is up to the person to make arrangements.

David White from a place Global called my cell phone and also called my son's cell phone. In a threatening tone, he said charges were being filed against me. My son asked why and he said he didn't know but I was to call this toll free number with a "claim" number he provided.

To anyone out there who this has happened to, I am a paralegal. If charges are being filed against you, a sheriff's representative or a process server arrives at your front door and gives you some documents which you sign for. They DO NOT call and threaten your family members on the phone!

This is simply a collection agency that bought some old, most likely expired, debt and is trying to collect it from you with threats.

I got a call from this number and they said I owe money from a payday loan from way back in 2008 and that they are some people trying to find me and serve me with some documents. They said they are from Global and the person who called me his name is Anthony Smith
