i got a text from the number  41569 telling me to call 8885956570 and they tried to talk me into online classes while i work and asked if they could contact me. when i asked if they could send me the schools info so i can call them instead, he said they cant do that from their location and hung up. SCAM!!! wish i wouldve seen all these comments before i called!

I was scammed as well. I applied on craiglist for a warehouse job in minneapolis. I was also sent a text message from 312-507-1255 (Chicago) to call 888-i499-2038 in regards to the position applied for. I called the number they asked questions such as: Are you a US citizen, Are you currently employed.........then they asked about my education and asked if I was interested in furthering my education. I said no, they replied tomorrow you will receive an email from them (Employer Network) and to click on job application to apply for position. I received another text from 312-507-1255 (Chicago) the next day to call 888-595-4905. I started getting suspicious so I asked the person what company they work for the reply was Employer Network. I asked why his company name was all over the internet as being an employment scam and he said that was the first he had heard of it. I asked where are you calling from he said Florida. I asked what city in Florida and he hung up on me. Definately a major scam!!!!!! The big ? is what kind of college would pay a company to scam people like this. The answer not a college I would want to attend.

i received a text message regarding my resume that I recently submitted on Craigslist, first of all what employer text messages you to call for an interview/  I then googled the number that it asked me to call, and immediately got fraud alerts.  I blocked my number and called and an operator answers saying that they want to thank me for calling the Employment Network.  What is going on? I put my resume online and I get this stupid a** text??  Such a scam.

wow i think the same thing happened to me. applied to k-mart through employer network had to call to verify my information, she said they would get back to me in a week and nothing. i went on the computer today to try and re-apply and this website came up saying employer network was a scam. i cant believe it!!!!

Got scammed !!! They did not ask for banking information...I just unsubscribed...Seemed to me like they were trying to get you to sign up for college..Was extreemly confusing phone call.

I was not sure just what they were getting at...

But felt the whole time that it was fishy...

I got a text today from a 415-69 number.  Not sure why the number showed up as that, but that is how it showed up on my phone.  They wanted me to call 877-780-2972 for a job I applied for.  Being naive I fell for the scam, I just need a job so bad and was desperate.  But after reading this I know to avoid them at all cost.

This is a number for Employer Network. Submitted a resume and they sent a text message asking that I call them back. Called back and they answer "Employer Network, may I have your telephone number so I can direct your call?" I hung up. Sounds like a scam to me...

I got the EXACT same happen to me just now! I got a text ( first off, what employer texts a message for an interview?) The call was from 385-208-5698 BUT I had to call 877-834-7927 as indicated in the text message. So I call, and I was asking them questions. They IGNORED my questions. In fact, when I asked "is this an employment agency?" the response was "sure, if that is what you would like to call it" WTF??? I got an email right away and of course the link wanted to know ALL my info. I didn't fill it out at all. Pissed me off because I use Craigslist FOR EVERYTHING and I am now much more careful about disclosing ANY info. Oh, they asked if I was a citizen and my level of education. Why would they ask that if they already took a look at my resume??? It was very frustrating. Be careful everyone.

After reading all these post they must have a new # this just happend today May 28, 2011. I got a text from a 512-627-9342, saying they rec. my resume & to call 1-877-834-7927. It sounded weird to me so I googled it & found this site so THANK YOU & BEWARE OF THE NEW #!

So I got the text this morning.  I am usually pretty good about catching scams, but I *embarrassingly*  fell for this one.  So now the "education connection" is calling me, 4 times in 2 hours!

Saw a posting on craigslist for a "customer support specialist" with a phone number to call about an interview. Called it guy took my name and email and information on my past education and what my education goals are. Since then i have been slammed with SPAM. Should have known better.

Yea I got one also. I got the same bad vibe. This isn't the first time someone's tried to scam me from all of the job ads I've responded to. Also, had some scammers from careerbuilder as well. Pretty bad when your struggling to find a job and you have to deal with someone trying to steal the little that you have. FTW!!

was text by the 213 number and it told me to text the 888 number. So I did, they are closed. Can't we tell them to take us off their list? I'm turning it into the police department as fraud, first thing tomorrow morning, I suggest that you all so the same, so that an investigation can start. Especially since the are phishing for personal information and getting hostile when you feel uncomfortable doing so. If you've sent your resume or applications over the internet there is a chance as well that they have you social security number. I really urge you all to make a report to your state patrol or county sheriff!!

Got me too. Got 2 texts April 26, 2011 for 2 jobs I applied for on Craigslist.  I became suspicious when I noticed even though they had different 888 #s to call, the texts both came from 407-902-6256 and I knew I would never had applied for the 2nd job as a receptionist. I can't type. Reporting it on Craigslist right now. It's the only site with any jobs but I believe 90% of jobs are some sort of scam. So beware they now hgave personal info.

I got a text message asking me to call 407-902-6256.  I called and he asked me a couple of question and said he would send me an e-mail and for me to follow the link.  But since I got the text I got the text I knew this couldn't be a real company and suspected a scam right away.  I have received lots of e-mails from this so called The Employer Network Team from Atlanta asking me to click links, but I have ignored each one of them.  

I am glad I finally looked them up and see your comments on them.  I knew all along they are a scam.  So they'll be waiting for me to call or e-mail them.

I received a test from 407-902-6256 which stated they received my application for a warehouse position and to call 877-808-4375.

I got the same text this morning with the same info. They sounded official, however, they were very vague about the information. Asking basic questions about educational background and so forth, no real personal questions. I don't think I'll be calling them back or hearing from them again.

Yeaaaaa NY, Long island//NYC area I got texted by a 347-229-5393 to call a 877-7803231. Please add this number to the list. I know better than to give away my person information but mid-leading me into a job for my resume? ::azn accent:: THATS A FOWWWW. Dont be dumb and click the links, instead click add to spam mail.  


PS. A scammer tried calling me for a fake cable box appt. doh!

Same story here. The phone # that texed me was 424-8324850 and asked me to call 888- 310-8386. I hope no one falls for this crap. I just hate people taking advantage of a person looking for a decent job.It seems like the only way to apply for a job anymore is online, and all u get online are a bunch of scammers. Where are the help wanted signs anymore? ya know?
