It's some company that tries to "confirm" your information.  I got a text from 312-519-1016 saying they received my application for a position and wanted me to call them back.  Then when you call them back, they start asking you all kinds of questions that if they really did have my application they wouldn't need to ask.  I think it's some scam, and it's really unprofessional to receive a text message for an interview.

I also received a text today in regards to a receptionist job that I applied for.  The text came from 801-386-6793.  How many different numbers do these people text from anyway?  It's beginning to look like the collections company that has called me from more than half a dozen different numbers to collect money I don't owe.  After reading this on here for this number in addition to the 888-397-4193, I'm not going to even waste my time calling.  It seems for every one legitimate job posted on craigslist there are about 20 crazy scam artists.  Hope they all get their own room in hell to hang out together.

Watch out for these! I received a text from this number today, they wanted to "verify" my resume.

For me the same. I received a text message from 3108823204 saying that my application has been reviewed for the front desk position. I didn't call them back. I googled the number and this is what I found. Thanks for the service

Who is this from?

When you get a text about returning a call concerning a resume you sent in, beware.

These people ask you about continuing your education. They are recruiters for places like Walden University and AIU - both on line schools and Strayer University.

I played their game and got as much info as I could; now I'm going to report them to Craigslist.

Got a text Msg from 310-882-3204:

Hi XXXX, I just reviewed your application for the XXXX position you applied for.  Please call me at 888-907-0379.

The accepted practice for a potential employer is always a direct phone call or an email, to establish a communication with you.  Be wary of anything OTHER than this practice.

FYI: you should NEVER give personal information or pay ANY money before you have established the legitimacy of the employer.

Got a text from them about a job offer but I wont call any company that text about a job application.

I hate scams and scammers

I just sent my resume via craigslist job listings.  This is not a real job offer.

we just got the text too - scam.

Just got SMS today from 646-4833646..   " Please, call me at 888-907-0379. I just rewiewed your appl..."  and so on...Just in case, I will not delete it"

I got one too. All of us were smart to investigate the texts first. I'm sure there are lots of people out there who have and will continue to reply and give out personal information. It's a shame that so many criminals have this kind of access for their schemes. Good Luck to all of you with your job hunts!!!

This world is getting ridiculous with scams and b***s*** numbers on job boards, why would you post sometehing on a job board to market a product to someone unemployed?? Your all about ridiculously dumb!

Mine was for a security position

I too received a txt in re to this number.  The actual number the txt was sent from is 312-519-1016.  The txt read "Hi Angela, I just received your application for the Admin position you applied for.  Please call 888-907-0379".  

I have searched the web high and low to find either number and they are not listed anywhere.  If this were a legitimate business the numbers would be listed!  I believe this is linked to craigslist.  If I can figure out which craigslist add, I will report it.
