i just had it happen to me. They call themselves "investigator" and will tell you that a warrant is very close to being issued for your arrest. The "investigator" that I was speaking too was apparently washing dishes at the time, because that's all that I heard in the background.
The name of the "company" that was handling my case was Capital Mediation Services. i looked it up online and their website is a sham.
if they call - just lead them on, and enjoy the ride-Karma will get them.

I have been getting this same call for a few weeks now. Telling me I got a payday loan and I am being served with Fraud papers to appear in court. Scared me because they have my addresses and info and last 4 of my social but I NEVER in my life have received a payday loan. My husband makes 175k a year and I have a job I do not NEED any payday loans. This is a Scam. I also called my local OD to make a harassment report and they stated they have had many calls like this and are investigating..... Call and report them!!!!!

same thing scott chambers is using another 1-888-681-5438 ext114 to tell people about bad check and even emailed me a copy of paperwork form dealer called dealere an dtheir number for their check cashing company is phony too.  Don't pay called police and they said it would have me notified its a SCAM get these crooks now..  Thanks

I went to my bank and cancel my bank card before they could get a dime of mine. Don't fall for this scam.

My sister recieved a call from a Investigator Carter, asking for me when I called the number back Investigator Carter stated I wrote a check in 2007 and placed a stop payment on it.  She went on to give me a driver license number which wasn't mind, she told me she want to help me seeing that I have not written the check nor did I sign the check and I knew nothing about the incident she said a warrant is being issued if this don't get cleared up.  She told me she want to help me if I could hold and she'll see if she can contact the company who sent over my file she placed me on hold and called over to somewhere and a Mr. Anderson answered the phone she went through her whole spill she think I had nothing to do with it wasn't me it was my husband he then says I can understand that seeing both names are on the check he is willing to help me and asked me to hold while he check to see what's happening on the file I hold for about a minuter he came back and said if I could give him a debit/credit card number for full payment the case can be closed.  I give them my information because fear came over me when they said a warrant was being issued.  I told them payment in full on friday, when I came to my senses I google this company Capital Mediation Services LLC because Mr. Anderson sent me a email of the check in questioned and I found out this is a SCAM.  I called Investigator Carter of course she didn't answer I left her a nice message. May God deal with these people.

I just received the phone call today. Everything that you all have posted happened to the t. New number for capital mediation 8886815438. Also investigator Christina carver from 5122980825. Investigator carver worker for investigator services. And she 3 way called me to John Brady capital mediation llc. I'm glad I read these posts while I was on hold with him. Mr Brady was rude and got really frustrated when I started asking questiond about his company and the supposed check fraud issue. He tried yelling over me as I told him I got his name and company and number online saying it was a scam and I'm not giving him my cc info bu will be calling authorities. Scary how much John Brady knew about me. My bdate etc. he threatened me with court and warrants. And basically said tell that to the judge because I'm not the one writing bad checks. Funny how he was so nice at first and said It sounded like I didn't have criminal intent and it must have been a mistake when he thought I was falling or his bs and going to pay him.

I got a call yesterday saying I owed money for a check written in 2006. The bank of Chase I never had and was deployed with the United States Navy, I was overseas, no way or how I wrote a check. The check was for house or boat insurance and I dont owe either one. I sure wish I did! They gave me a checking account # to chase and I have contacted the bank. They never had any info on me or this checking account #. Tried calling back Investigator Harvey and got a cell phone voicemail. Come on people, I would never give you a dollar, have to see me in court! lol

im going to my local police dept tomorrow morning to get all this information that i have turned in and see if something can be done . this is scary how these people can do all this to so many people and know so much about you and get away with it .. i got married last month and they contacted my mother in law as well looking for me today .. how did they even no to call her thats nuts!!!

my grandfather called me to saying that a james owen was  calling him looking for me, so i called the number 521-900-3291 he said his job was to find out info on a bad check that was wrote in 2007.. well he said i sounded like a nice person and that he would connect me to a mentor well it was strange because he didnt give me the number but he called 3 way . and got connected to scott chamber right away . well after scott chamber and i talked he stated that i had a check out for 80.37 and i would owe 212.00 today to keep from getting arrested so of course i freak out he states that give him a min to find out if he could stop all paper work for the warrant well he come back on the line and said he stopped the paper work i could either pay by check card or prepaid card ..i called a few places and they said its a scam .. i called the better business bureau  and they said that this company didnt exist so i called scott back and told him what i had found out and boy was he pissed he pretty much screamed and said that if i thought i could go through life writing bad checks and get away with it i was wrong and hung up on me !!!! its a scam so beware another number is 888-908-5220 that they use  .

These people called and threatened my mom. Saying that she. Will be arrested for a bad check written in. 2007 . I called my bank to verify there idendity and they said rhat it sounded like a scam. Then I came across all these posts..

I got a call from a john brady  at number 1-410-344-7854 stating i owed $213.69  for a check that was written in 2007and wanted me to give them a credit card or get a prepaid card and call them back tomm.and got to looking on there website and was looking at the reviews stating it was a scam.then i tried calling the number back and it said i was entered into a prize sweepstakes...bunch of crap i have contacted my attorney...

these pieces of s*** called my dad today and said he was john brady an investigagor bla bla bla ! Im goin 2 call ole john in the morning and tell him what stupid ash hole he is and karma will catch his a** soon enough !

Thank god for the internet!!!!  I just got a call from BOB EVANS.  Investigative Services," there are allegations filed in your name,the issuance of a warrent is being filed against you. It is imperative that you call me within 24 hours". I was freaking. Then I googled Bob Evans. That you everyone for taking the time to report this#$$$$^&(*

We got a call from Scott Chambers.

We received a message from a Bob Evans and a John Brady.  They did three way calling thing. Most of the call sounded like the above.  Called a lawyer and they said it was a scam don't give them any info, do not answer and do not call back!

my husband recieved a call from this scott chambers same phon number same situation saying he had a ba check in 2007 and thy wer going to issue a warrent if he didnt pay thy pretentd to conect to courthouse and di all the same so wev been paying $178 evry 2weeks to this guy well i thout it souned fishy and found this on here so i did a stop payment and blocked them $500 later the guy calld me today saying if i dont pay they will issue warrent for my husband i told him iv been investigating and took my records to police he then hung up on me and wont return my call im glad i investigated befor they got anymore money but now they hav my bank#

My mother in law received a call from BOB EVANS investigator, i called back and got the answering machine.  Glad i googled it before they call back.

My Sister-in-law received a call on her personal cell phone leaving a message for me to contact Robert Evans Investigator Services concerning a bad check.  I don't even have checks for a checking account.  I called back the number (410) 344-7753 but received an answering machine recording.  I've been a nervous wreck all day.  Thank you for posting about this so that I don't fall for this scam.  I'm going to notify local authorities.  I hope they catch the cockroaches!!!

I received the same phone call. First from an investigator Malani stating that I was going to have a warrant for check fraud from a bad check written in 2005. He also told me that he needed just a statement from me regarding the check. He said I sounded like a nice guy and that he could tell there was no criminal intent so he wanted to help me fix it. He then immediately 3 way called this Scott Chambers to resolve the issue. Scott said he needed a minute to see if the case could be reopened for resolution. Less than two minutes later, he called me back and said I could make the payment to him for $163.00, however no checks or mailed payments. Only a debit/credit card payment or he told me I could get a prepaid card to pay over the phone. What a sham. They cannot threaten to have a warrant put out on u. It's illegal. Thanks alot you jerks for calling my family members and freaking them out.

today my aunt called me saying a man called her named "investigator Miller" and that he needed to get a hold of me because i was possibly the victim of identity theft. so i called him right a way and he said that i had a bad check out there from 10/29/05!!! and that a warrant was going to be issued for me!!! i explained the situation and he said i sounded like a nice person and would really try to help me by trying to put me through to a mediator "scott chambers". it was funny because he 3 way called and got right through with no problem. so then i talked to this "scott" and he said i owed a certain amount but would call to see if the paper work had been processed yet for my warrant. funny cause he talked to them right a way to!! then he told me that the company would stop the paper work if i paid that amount in full today. and if not a warrant would be issued. i was pretty scared because that's the last thing i need but i wasn't about to pay someone without proof of owing. he sent me an email, all it said was that i was going to pay a certain amount and the case would be dropped. i looked up the statue of limitations and it had already passed!!! so i blocked my number and called "scott" and told him i talked to my lawyer and told me not to pay and that the statue of limitations had passed. and WOW..."scott" was pissed!!! he said that i wrote the check and now im trying to find loop holes, so that showed him i had intent. well let me tell you this...if a "mediator" gets that mad at you and disrespects you, there's something wrong!!! don't fall for these a***oles tricks!!! their just trying to scare you and get money. if this happens to you just watch how much they want to help you and how fast your connected to other organizations. so happy these jerks didn't get my money!!! they also use the number (410) 344-7737
