Make them give you there fisical address so you can verifiy if there for real they wont do it But press them. And do not be nice!!!!

I get calls from this number 888-909-6341 the not a Law firm there just debt collector and it might not be your bill . From the news they are about to get suied by the FTC

It is a scam. They tried it with me Also. I notified the payday company who had no record of me and the bank account they claim I used was closed 4 years prior. I fell for this a year ago and paid $800. Ignore it . They will have a lot of info but its all public or from when you might have applied for an online payday even if you didn't get it

They have never contacted me.....they have contacted my mother and today the gave my mother confidential information.....said i have taken out $4000 in payday loans and they are ready to seek felony charges on me.....crazy thing....they have never called me!!! my home number is listed......so i called 888-909-6341 and it says its Kenneth Miller & Associates....asked for Lynn Baker and she was not there......they said they have the checks i wrote.....i requested that they send me copies because i have the right to review any debt....they said they can not due this....i told them then i can not pay this......the lady got very rude and said the will have a warrant issued for my arrest.....asked her what address do they have, i will gladly be waiting for them....she called me a dead beat and told me i had better f****ng pay this money......i laughed and hung up!!! lets see if they try and call looking for me again....

I hope a Law Enforcement Agency is after this group.  They are really bad.  It is truly very emotionally upsetting to be intimidated constantly even if you know it's not true. Catch these folks. Please.

Kathy, and all.  Yes, I got the same message:  Martha Lewis: 888-909-6341.  They also told me they were going to serve me at home or work, and that I could lose my job.  That I had to pay $2700. for payday loans I didn't pay.  That it was Fraud, etc, all scare tactics.  They asked me for  a whole lot of information and provided none.  They want you to wire them or provide them credit card or debit payments immediately.  They called my brother, my sister.  I believe they got the info from Pay Day loan online applications, or Bank of America. They said, the deposit was made to a Bank of America account, which I too, like many of the folks who are on this chat area, closed that account over 4 years ago. So somehow our information got out. Fortunately when they used the date of June 2010, I knew it was a scam I don't bank with Bank of America anymore have not for many years now.  The call is very intimidating, since they have your email, your family members phone numbers, and they call multiple times, leave messages, etc. They are very very persistent.  They are not idiots, they are criminals and should get caught and put in jail for the crime they are committing it is an outrage.  We all work too hard for our money to have people who want to make a fast buck take it from those who fall for the intimidation, the treats over losing your jobs, the constant harrassment which is extreme.  I was very upset after the call.  I thought about reporting them, but didn't know what I could say except I got a call from a Martha Lewis, which I thought was a fradulent call.  With this web site text - I know for sure.  You always have the doubt that maybe you forgot, etc, and we for the most part all do not want to lose our jobs, especially if we are employed in jobs we cherish, so I can see people falling for this - most people want security to feel safe, rather than sorry.  But I don't have that money to pay otherwise, I might have fallen for the line, pay now, and streghten this out later, which would have truly foolish.  So thank you all for posting this information, it helped ease my worries, about this possibly being an oversight on my part.  I don't deal with the law much don't know my rights well enough, etc, regarding summons to court, etc. So thank you all. Just got the same call as most of you from phone number 000-000-0000.  Was automated from Martha Lewis saying they had papers to serve me at my home or place of business.  I have been dealing with these people (or people like them) for over a year now.  When I got the initial call more than a year ago, I thought it was legit because I had co-signed on a payday loan for my brother, but he had told me he paid it off.  So, I gave them my debit card number for payment and they told me I needed to notify my bank that a charge would be coming through from their company and then call them back once I notified the bank.  I thought that was strange so I googled the phone number and sure enough, posts like this came up.  I immediately canceled my debit card and notified my bank not to pay anything from this company.  I then called them back and told them what I thought of them and good luck getting a dime from me.  I have filed a complaint with CA's attorney general, and I received a response but it really didn't do anything.  So now I just never return their calls, it's a waste of time to expend the energy.  You'd think after a year they'd get the point, but they're obviously really stupid.

It is automated call and they leave these calls of a legal action and I do not know anything regarding this.

I started getting similar calls a year ago from different companies.  They are targeting both my mom and myself.  They claim they represent a Tritan payday loan company and another payday loan company. They claim we borrowed money via online in 2010 and the money was deposited in a checking account in Wachovia Bank.  Each company uses the account number for mom and myself. We have not banked with this institution in 5 years and certainly not in 2010 and did not borrow any money from payday loan companies. Lachner started calling two weeks ago. Be aware.  Do not pay these people any money.  Most states have tough laws about how payday loan companies can sue for bad debt simply because of the public concern about payday loans and their high interest. Don't be fooled by callers saying they are process servers or fraud investigators.  Tell them to send you proof. Any debt collector calling you should provide you proof for that matter. I have already contacted the bank. I narrowly escaped my elderly mom giving her info away.  I must admit it frightened me as well bring hounded by these people.

It is very disterbing.. they say they need to come to my home or place of bussiness..to issue me papers..My husband has a very serioues lung dezise. he can not  take being up set like this..
They wont answer, my calls  adn I  have  no depts .that  I knwo of- except some  hops. and we ar paying on them ..

Had the same call. Its a scam from applying for payday loans online. The dates did not match my supposed bank info/ i called the payday company they claim i borrowed from and they have no record of me. She said she has alot of calls in regards to this......Scam Scam Scam

You won't get a adress cause they are from India that is where the cell number they use is from ...its just a scare tatict what they do cause back in 2007 2008 a lot of the pay day companies that some of us used were dishonest and sold our info for money to these scam Artist I look at it as a joke now when they call I pretty much f*** with them to piss them off once they know you aren't going to give them money they will stop ... But they will sell your info to the next guy .... So I would put a fraud alert on your credit report and if u haven't done a credit check in a while do one ASAP ...

I would like to go in on a class action suit against them!!  They totally deserve it.  They harrassed me today, calling me a "f****ng deadbeat" and went so far as to leave a voicemail message on my supervisor's line saying that I would be arrested for felony check fraud!!  This is totally against the law and they need to stop this!!

I got a call yesterday from 8889096341 claiming they are a law firm "Lachner Gates and Associates".. They did not answer yesterday but I called this morning and spoke with two people. They claimed I took out 2 Payday loans online in August of 2010. The bank name they had on file was closed long before this date, I asked which payday loan company it was, they gave me the name so I called them. The Loan company advised me that My information did not exist in their system and I have no debt owed to them.
I asked the supposed summons server or whoever they are for their mailing address< after a google search it comes back to a residential area in North Carolina. They will threaten you with Criminal charges and High fees if it goes to court.   I contacted my local didtrict attorney in CA and they said it was most likel a SCAM..... Be careful, many people pay these scam artists and thats why they continue to do it

You should be able to contact your bank and have them reverse the charges. The bank will most likely do an investigation.9

Would anyone like to go in on a class action suit against this company? I am thinking of doing it. I am getting sick and tired of these calls, threats, and unprofessionalism.  I never wrote any checks or had any payday loan in 2010. I was unemployed from 2008-present and I am in Graduate school.

These people will not give me their address, fax machine number, business license number, or anything else. Does anyone else have info on them, so WE can serve them?

I am getting real upset about this company and others. They threaten, cuss, and lie. In addition, they called me a f'in deadbeat because I am a student, and told me to drop dead. Would  anyone be interested in bringing a class action suit against this company? I also think we all should call the do not call registry and ask them our options. Furthermore, we should call the Attorney General. I may call an attorney. Who wants to be part of this?

They said I took out a pay day loan in 2010. I was unemployed and never took out a loan. In addition, they used a fake credit union bank that I have never banked with and told me I wrote bad checks. I do not write checks to companies.

Everytime I call I recording stating that all representatives are busy, please leave a message...I leave a message no return call, just keep getting messages from 000-000-0000 Martha Lewis. The recording is very hard to understand sounds like Lockner Gates and Associates.

I received messages from Martha Lewis and Lachner, Gates, and Associates. They also called my roommate. I have no idea how they would have his number. They also had my last 4 SSN. Though I didn't recall the loans they were talking about, I thought it was legit since they had my last 4 SSN and email address. They initially wanted $2000 and then settled for $320. I made a payment for the $320 because I was afraid of the arrest on my record. She assured me that if I can prove that I didn't take out the loan, she will refund me. I should've googled the company prior to making the payment. I just tried to cancel the payment but it's still pending. Now I have to wait to dispute the charge once it posts to my account. These scam artists are horrible. They get you when you're scared. I hope karma will get them ten folds.

My minor daughter has gotten several calls from Martha Lewis claiming to have papers that need to be served to her at her place of employment or at her residence. If that was the case, they would simply serve her and not warn her with a phone call..

Received calls on consecutive days from "Out Of Area"  1-000-000-0000 with a recorded message naming a neighbor who has skipped out on mortgage, etc. after bankruptcy.  Lots of Luck = why they are calling on my home phone for this deadbeat is obvious.  If anyone serves this dry well with papers, it will be a waste.

I called back & got the voice mail.  Left a specific message asking them to stop calling.  We'll see  -  maybe they will get served with papers for harassment if they keep it up !!

Got the same call as anon...automated voice saying she is Martha Lewis and needed to serve me with paperwork either at home or work...2nd time they've called...if they had paperwork to serve it would have been done already...LOSERS!!

I am getting same phone calls with ID 000-000-0000 which is illegal under the Fair Debt Collection Acts.

Got several calls, the ID was 000-000-0000 and asked to call back to speak with Martha Lewis. Turns out this is a law office of some "sort" and Martha is the process server.

Let them know that I was not the person named in the call and they need to stop but she is welcome to bring her fat a** down and serve me.

She got upset and cussed me out ;)

Then said that just for that she would not remove my number from the call list.

yes they are a dishonest operation without a doubt.
