FYI most of these J*** off fake collection "law firms" and scam loan companies use an ip based phone system like magic jack, that is unlisted, and that hooks into a redirecting system that sends the call to another magic jack line or a prepaid cell phone, so you can never find them. 8889097851 isn't listed in any reverse look ups.

No your ip address is NOT linked to your ss number or cell phone number. That information was sold to this man by the company you "defaulted" with.

1st off only the admin of this message board has the ability to find out ip addresses of people posting to this message board. If this guy is a hacker, and can hack into the server hosting this message board, or if he is infact the admin of the message board, then he can find out IP's other wise he can't.

What you say is possibly true, but the other possibiltiy is that these crooks posted it as retaliation against one of their victims. Notifed admins of abusive post.

I have been doing a lot of research and I am finding that any collector who threatens legal ramifications (ie arrest warrants or charges being filed) can be sued. Anybody tried to get this guys address?

I got the same call, I repeatedly asked for an address but was not given one. I was told that there was going to be charges filed, but when i called the DA's office and had a cop friend run my name neither could find the "warrant" this guy was talking about. I called the FTC and filed a complaint they said this is 100% a scam.

They got your social security number because you posted it on an website anyone can read.  

You need to contact your bank and your credit card company to put fraud alerts on all of your accounts.  And you would need to get your social worker/attendant to take over all of your financial dealings.  You obviously are not able to tend to those matters yourself.

We know Joe very well, his real name is Needle Dick. His girl friend told that she calls him Rabbit. I guess because he is so fast. He is a little twerp from what I remember bakc in school. He use to brag that he had to stick his finger up his a** and yell snake to get his dick out.

I got a call earlier today from Joe, He threatend to have a warrant for my arrest by 4pm, saying I owe 3 grand on a 300 dollar loan that my girlfriend just paid off thru her bank because her bank paid the loan company years ago!. While I don't want to go to jail over this, I just can't help but wonder if it's a SCAM!!! People pretending to be attorneys and trying to get your information to get money!. I'm still waiting for papers something from them proving the bank never paid them, because my girlfriend has all the proof that they were paid years ago and she just paid the bank off for the over draft fee because the money wasn't in her account at the time they tried to pull it! I've tried calling JOE all afternoon, no answer and no phone call back either!!

You are the first in this thread to make reference to debt. Thanks for clarifying what the prior commentors are facing. You don't know their stories and cannot presume their reports are invalid simply because you imagine the reporters to have character flaws.

I did that tonight. I plugged in the phone numbers of nine Wal-Mart locations within a 75 mile radius of my home. Not one number has comments attached, positive or negative. Can it be that these stores have never once made unhappy shoppers? Nope, looks like some people on actual business review sites really don't like their local Wal-Mart. This of course was exactly the outcome I'd predicted since Wal-Mart's core business activity does not include hassling people for money on the phone in a deceptive manner, the sort of thing 800Notes *DOES* address.

I don't and I've never spent a penny there. Every Wally I've been dragged to gave me a headache. I'm disturbed by its "race to the bottom" business model and have personally seen several small towns ruined by its careless dumping of Chinese crap into the market.

I have never taken funding assistance, my bills are paid, and I have an adequate life, thanks ... which companies like the one discussed here have over time made needlessly more difficult. They have forced me to complain on Certified Mailed paper and in court just to get them to follow the simplest laws which should not burden an honest operation. It is altogether possible your "deadbeats" have a similar problem.

You can be part of the solution or part of the problem. What you've chosen helps no one.

I'm not going into detail cause I don't know what else they deal with, but in my case when I borrow money from someone while agreeing to pay back and don't, I like to fix it. Plus you can get in trouble for that.
