My elderly parents got a phone call from this number.  One male subject said he was the chief of police of a Canadian Police Department, a grandson was in jail and was requesting my parents IMMEDIATELY go to a specific grocery store and complete a Western Union money transfer for $2400.00.  A second male subject then got on the phone and posed as the grandson begging them to post the $2400.00 'bail money.'  My parents are hard of hearing and believed the second subject to actually be the grandson.   Thankfully my dad is savvy enough to have looked up the Canadian Police Department only to find it didn't exist.  Of course the grandson was not in Canada, nor was he in jail. Really slick scammers.

Receiving calls from this number today. Anoher annoying number that nothing will be done about.
I will report this to Verizon. Of course, I don't expect any results...

They have called 6 times today.  Never leave a message.  They called yesterday and said someone filled out a form for Diabetes.  I told them no one in our home has/did this and stop calling.

Called both yesterday and today at the same time, about 5 PM central time.  I didn't answer, but they left a message both times - a lady saying:  Hello?  Hello?

Similar to other callers, I received 2 calls in a span of 5 minutes. It was the "lower interest rate" scam.

I answered this time because I felt like it (usually don't) and heard the recording for "the last chance to lower my interest rate.  Press 1 to speak to someone."  So I did, and kindly told them I don't have a credit card (I really don't) and to please take me off their calling list.  They hung up.

These people just don't stop.  They said we had filled out a form online indicating that someone in our family has diabetes and they wanted to do a follow-up call.  I said that is BS!  They call all the time.  I have asked them NOT to call.  They are lying

Diabetes Testing. The line they are calling is never used for anything other than alarm access. So any calls are the alarm company or scams. Had fun with this one. Advised was so glad they called I was almost out of supplies. (I don't have diabetes.) Told them to hold on while I found my credit card. Watched TV a little while and shouted "hold on" now and then. Came back to phone, told them couldn't find CC but could they use my checking account number. "yes". Told them to hold on while I went to find it... :-) Got almost 20 minutes out of this one.

I'm keeping them on long enough to back trace with a buddy at phone company. Obviously caller ID is spoof, so running trace route to id the call backtrack. Assuming they are using a t-1 based on call volume so shouldn't be too hard to pinpoint their location for the feds.

God I love technology!

They call me at least once a  day the number in the name field on my caller id is v08261032090036  then its number is 888-909-7933     i don't answer calls that don't identify themselves but it always leaves a message that's a recording thanking me for calling BB&T Bank. I have no accounts with this bank and have never called them.

They have called twice in less than an hour.  Both were ladies with an accent.  They indicated they were calling from a Diabetes Testing company and inquiring whether someone in my household with diabetes was using the best possible testing supplies.  The first caller, after I indicated I was not interested, did not pursue the issue.  The second caller was pushy, almost belligerant and pressed me to answer her questions.  She talked over me and finally hung up on me when I asked to speak with her supervisor.  When I called the number back, I received a Verizon conferencing message.
