They rang about five times. They knew my first name, but I didn't bother talking to the woman and told her that whatever it was, I was not interested. Then told them to not call again, since I am on the Do not call registry. And btw it's not only through mortgage lenders, I don't have a mortgage, I currently rent the house.

Thi is a security company that get leads from your morgage lender and/or title company when you buy a new home.  I was very upset that my unlisted phone number was given to them without my permission and will be contacting those that were involved in my real estate transaction.  If you go to Protect america's web site, scroll to the bottom of the page, there is a link for "do not call" that you can complete. Becasue the call center employees will not remove you from the list even when requested to do so.

I don't want spam calls either on my home or cell

Man named dan from this number 8889122933 called and told the sitter he was my neighbor calling to get together. When she advised him a second time she was not me, he then asked her why she was answering my phone. I am on the do not call list and wil be filing a police report for this name and number for harrassment. Good thing my sitter is the daughter of cop. Stupid man to try and terrify a babysitter. I hope his wife, mother, daughter or sister get stalked like he does to young women!

this person is now calling everyday but fails to leave a message. how do they get my number? I pay to keep my number out of the phone book and unlisted. What good is the do not call list.?

3 calls in 3 days......finally answered.  Eric from Protect America in Austin, TX wanted to know if I was still interested in a wireless home security system.  Asked if my home was secured.  Wonder if he really thought I was stupid enough to answer his questions.
